I can't believe that this is my first review for Panera on Commercial Blvd. in Springhill. This was not my first visit (12/10/22), and it won't be my last. My friend lives in Weeki Wachi and she's homebound. We both LOVE the selections at Panera. So this is where I come to get our lunches on the way to her home! Today I picked up a duet for me (chicken soup and Caesar salad) & a pick 2 for her (grilled cheese & tomato soup). We both got chips as our sides. Service was excellent as it has been in the past. My order was on time, exactly what I ordered, and my friend & I agreed that it tasted great once I got to my friend's home & we ate together. Once in the past year I gave a time for pickup for two bowls of soup. I encountered an accident on the way, delaying me 30 minutes. My friend called, and whoever she talked to changed the time so our order was hot and fresh when I got it. Excellent service. Always. The bathrooms are clean, as is the whole restaurant. Stopped by for a quick to go order. Got the Southwest corn chowder it was overly thick like it had been sitting. The tortilla topping served on the side was stale so could not be added. Tried to order a parfait and the girl said they didn't have them any more. I said yes you do, they're on your website and menu. So I got my parfait. But it was about the size of an individual yogurt at the grocery store, but for 5x the price. We had the best experience with a catered delivery order and it was last minute. Griffin was great in helping me place an order right before closing time to be delivered the next morning. The service was fast and the employee were all very pleasant. I'm a little shocked at the prices of the food but I guess you pay for the supposed quality of the ingredients. The staff were all wearing masks and gloves which I appreciate greatly and everything looked super clean, especially considering the lunch rush looked to be in full swing. Since my team and I were working thru lunch today we ordered Panera to deliver. The driver called to tell me he had arrived at our office and I assured him that he had driven to the wrong address. I told him exactly where we were located and instead of delivering to us at our address (which was correct in the order by the way)-the driver left our $60 order on the door of a funeral home 6.6 miles away. When I called Panera to report this they told me it was not their problem and that I needed to receive my refund thru Door Dash. Ordered bagels and got them home and found a bunch of inedible deformed balls of dough. They were flat and hard! I took them back and the manger gave me an apathetic explanation. He was nice about it but just stated they were over proofed but still edible. I am experience baker and know that yes, you can still eat them but it is no longer a bagel. The shape, texture, height, etc...makes them no longer a bagel. I couldn't even exchange them for 4 new ones because all of the bagels In The baskets were the exact same way-flat and deformed! They did refund my money and we kind about it but I should not have to drive all the way back there to get refunded. These should have never been allowed to be sold in the first place. I stopped going there awhile ago because of the overpriced mediocre meals but this was the final straw. read more

I came here last week and ordered the steak and white cheddar panini and this is what was served to me! We called the manager and showed him and he said that was the regular portion but even he had to admit that it didn't look that appetizing. This can't be the regular portion. It looks nothing like the picture on the menu! The meat doesn't even look like meat!! This should not have even come out the kitchen to be served to customers. I don't normally post reviews, but my wife and I were in the area and decided to try the new chicken sandwich. First off we both ordered soup, which was ok and tasted like what you can buy in Publix. This was the best part of the meal. The signature chicken sandwich looked nothing like what is advertised. It had 2 small parmesan crisps and could not even taste the garlic aioli. The sandwich was very bland. Now for the drinks, we ordered a strawberry lemonade slushy and a strawberry smoothie. I don't know which drink was more disgusting. read more

Although their is food is fresh and great, this location is not the greatest. I get takeout when I do go there and usually have to ask for something That was supposed to go with the meal. Like dressing on my salad, I asked for the dressing because there was none. I got a reply with attitude, that it was on the salad. Delicious! The line moves quickly, and employees are patient enough to make sure that your order is accurate and you get everything you want. The food comes out rather quickly. We ordered a pick 2, both had broccoli cheese soup and Greek salad. The soup was hot, and the salad had the appropriate amount of all toppings and dressing. The baguette was also delicious, not hard and stale, but fresh and soft. We both got an iced tea - both of the "fun" flavors are delicious. I love the ginger-hibiscus tea. The dining room was kept mostly clean - I know it's hard to keep up with that lunch rush - and we had no problems finding a comfortable spot to eat. The patio at this location is very nice, too, on those cool Florida-winter days. The parking lot is kind of a nightmare, not because of design or anything, just beware of the distracted, only-extreme-speeds (slow or fast) Florida driver. read more

The lady that's at the register seems like she hates her job and the area where food is supposed to be made is always a party. No wonder why my food always takes forever and is always wrong!! I love Panera Bread, and I love to go there especially this time of year! One of my favorites is the Orange-Cranberry Muffin. I ordered this muffin at the Spring Hill location on U.S. 19 and was shocked that there was no taste of the orange zest in the muffin. I thought that the recipe had been changed. Another favorite is the Autumn Squash Soup. I ordered a bowl and received a bowl with less than half of it filled with soup. I thought to myself that they should consider using smaller bowls to make the soup look fuller. Two days ago, I stopped at Panera Bread on Cortez Blvd. (about 15 minutes away from the other store). I saw that they had the Orange-Cranberry Muffins and I could actually see the orange zest in the muffin and on top. I ordered all that they had. I also ordered the Autumn Squash Soup and received a nice full bowl. When I told them that I had not had as good of an experience at the other location, I was informed that the U.S. 19 location is a franchise and a franchise can cut corners and do what they want. Well, they have now lost me as a customer! You just can't cut corners at Panera and get away with it long-term! There are too many of them around! read more
