I was having a rough day and decided to get a bite to eat so I choose to dine at Panera bread and figured I'll dine in because "why not?" Best choice. The staff is super friendly, respectful, attentive and helpful it switched my mood. The food is always delicious at any Panera bread you go to of course but the staff at stafford market place will serve you more than just your food. Attitude really is contagious. Thank you. Something as simple as giving me my fruit cup as I wait on my meal and the overall sense of urgency to cater to the guests needs is very refreshing. All three of the employees I spoke to had a positive aura and I appreciate that in the service industry. This location is always busy, like really busy. It's probably due to the convenient location on 610. The kiosk and order yourself stations are really nice. The staff is polite whenever I approach them too. We take our dog out on the patio, which is a bonus for us. He gets to socialize and we get to eat. The bagel bins are always low or empty whenever I try to get some. Maybe I'm just getting after the morning rush, but it's a little bit of a disappointment. Food is always represented well, and we like that we can customize things. I just wish this location had a drive thru. read more

I get home & no surprise it's wrong. I look at my receipt & the receipt was correct, but now they added how accuracy is important to them. So I call. Spoke to ken. The manager. Visit on 7/14/2021 at 9:30 am: Great counter service - fast, friendly, accurate and answered multiple questions happily. Food delivery was quick, and modifications for my eating restrictions were made happily and accurately. I tried the chipotle chicken wrap and multi grain bagel and egg sandwich. The wrap was a bit spicy for my taste, but otherwise these dishes are fantastic. The ingredients are fresh and the flavor just crushes similar burritos at comparable price points. Panera can be expensive, but I've rarely had a bad experience at this one, and today's visit was particularly pleasant. Come support this great place! read more

Had some friends order some food for me and them and when they got home my order was not in he bag. My friends have been calling for the past 2 hours and no one seems to be answering the phone. It's not a busy time as it's almost 9 pm. They charged them for the meal but didn't put it in the bag. Worst Panera bread ever! Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The line can get super long so you might want to put your order on online. Cheap solid experience across all the locations I have been to. Surprised they were out of Mac & Cheese on this visit but going for a bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup on a long road trip still worked out well. I have been here about 10 times and each time it's the same thing - unfriendly people behind the counter that ring you up and average food. The cashiers almost never smile, rarely say hello and often make me feel like I'm putting them out because I want to place an order. They have great pastries, breads and other goodies, but when it comes to their sandwiches, I always feel like there isn't very much on my sandwich. Good location right off the 95 and a relief from all the fast food joints you see along the way. I made the mistake of going in to Jersey Mikes across the way to some rude rude rude people, and hopped over here to Panera instead. The people were friendly and fast. I received my order of French onion soup with a sourdough bowl incredibly fast, and was able to hop back on the 95 in no time. What a nice reprieve from the usual options, and a nice clean and friendly atmosphere to boot. read more

As soon as you walk in, you have the ability to order off a kiosk, pick up a buzzer, and sit at a table. The buzzer has some sort of placement location and they bring the food right to your table. Ate here with two other guys who ordered from the line. One of my favorite place for lunch. The pick 2 is a great deal where you can customize your selections of sandwich/soups. Katie is the girl that usually rings me out and she is awesome. Place does get crowded with the lunch rush but there's plenty of seats (outdoor seating too) and the food turn over is fast. Very large stand alone Panera right off of 95. Heavy employee presence, makes me believe it's a high volume location. We were there at 8 am and it was pretty crowded and 4 lines. And the lack of cleanliness in the restroom could only be explained by volume. The employees were kind and knew the menu very well. My foodie 12 year asked questions in great detail and the worker could fire off answers right away. I felt my Asiago bagel wasn't the freshest or maybe I've had softer ones. read more

I visited this location on Saturday, November 12 while driving to VA from PA to pick up my parents for a visit. I had my thirteen pound cocker spaniel-poodle mix with me and we drove three hours before stoping at this location in Stafford, VA. I planned on carrying my food out after failing to get the rapid pick up to process, because evidently it was down and the app wasn't working. I was almost immediately met by what appeared to be a middle aged male manager scolding me because my leashed dog was approaching customers passing us by in the breezeway with smiling faces and greeting hands. He had noted my dog approached customers as if unwarranted and made her seem like a nuisance and jumping on them. He proceeded to ask me if she was my service dog and stated "service dogs are usually better trained, and this really isn't a place for dogs, are you dinning out." I felt like I was being unnecessarily attacked but did answer his questions. Mazey came to me as a puppy in 2018 a month after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Prior to my diagnosis I have always struggled with anxiety and depression and I do consider Mazey my service dog because her support during my 11 months of chemo, radiation and surgery gave me the strength to survive and not hide from the world. She gives me the strength to face the rude people in the world and thrive in my life. I shouldn't Have to go online and get a bogus service animal certificate from a kangaroo court to have her with me. If a customer complained I would have apologized and felt embarrassed, but this was not the case. Not only did he unnecessarily interrogate me and insult me, he also made sure I didn't plan on dinning in. I am a longtime customer of Panera bread but was very disappointed by this encounter. The man made it seem like I was bringing a peacock for tea. The encounter left me shaken and embarrassed but I also felt a sense of pride because Mazey helped me get through this encounter without having a major verbal altercation with the manager, because what had just been a pleasant interaction with strangers, quickly turned into a hostile one. The young cashier was very kind and patient with me because I did begin to tear up with embarrassment and shame. The quality of the food was up to standards but this place needs to get with 2022 and tolerate the needs of all of their customers. read more

I have come to several different Panera's in different locations I have to say this is the worst experience as far as food is concerned. I got an Italian sandwich to go. When I got home I was so disappointed the sandwich literally had two slices of meat no cheese and one tiny wilted piece of lettuce. I'm not exaggerating to say that this was the worst sandwich I've ever had at Panera's. I don't know what happened. I've had the sandwiches at the Panera's and have never had a problem before. I'm starting to feel like a bad review stalker but it really isn't the case. Receiving good service is just as important as you receiving my dollars. This review is a two strikes with you. You don't even get a third. I've had my last meal at Panera bread located in Stafford Virginia off of Garrisonville Road. The first time I decided to quit them was their delivery service. I had a pizza that Door dash delivered to my home. Because I didn't answer the door immediately, it was left on my porch. No bag, nothing, just there on the porch with one seal, leaving many open edges around the top of it. Although it had only stayed there no more than 5 to 10 minutes, I was Livid! My orders before this day were always in a bag, even the pizza. I immediately called Panera bread to complain about how unsanitary it was to leave a pizza box sitting on the porch, knowing there's all kind of critters crawling around. Not to mention it could be sitting in dog Pee or anything being on the porch. My issue was more so why wasn't it in a bag in case it had to be left on the porch, as opposed to it not being protected. Irregardless, the manager that day was less than concerned or cared. He stated that they never put them in bags which was a lie and my first issue. Second issue was that he had the audacity to blame it on the delivery service. Did you Panera bread not package the order! Did you inform me the customer that your packaging for delivery had changed after weeks of me ordering the same thing during the workday, and it being delivered in bags; everything not just other items. He didn't offer an apology, he didn't offer to replace it, nothing and was very nonchalant! If you use Panera bread you know the prices of their food items, not cheap compared to fast food restaurants. The food was not consumable as far as I was concerned. Who knows what crawled in it, if anything. I didn't even bother opening the box. I threw it straight in the garbage and vowed not to ever use the delivery service again and haven't. I called corporate and they apologized and gave me a voucher for any entrée of my choice and had said that they were going to speak to the location. Either they didn't or this particular Panera could care less about customer satisfaction. I say that because just tonight I did a pick up, of which I said that's the only Option I would use after the debacle with the delivery. I really just have a problem with people telling false truths instead of just being straightforward with what can be done and what can't. I've always put in special instructions for my grandson's pizza to have a different cheese because he doesn't like the mozzarella. Like he really doesn't like it. They've accommodated every time I've had that special instruction. So many times that I can't even count; however, this time and the time before they made an issue of it as if they hadn't done it before or had no clue what to replace it with. When I picked up the order they came out to my vehicle and discussed it with reguard to what cheese to use in its place. Mind you I've never had to tell them what cheese to use, they just changed it out and my grandson liked it. They never indicated it being a problem nor did they express that they could not do that in the future, so I ordered it again tonight. Same instructions, same pizza that my grandson loves. This time they decided to go ahead and charge me for the order and when they brought out my order, the employee proceeded to tell me they couldn't change the cheese. I told the employee "you could've came out here to tell me that before just placing the order so I could have canceled that portion of it" She then proceeds to tell me that I ordered online. OK, I ordered online the last time but you came to my car to discuss before you filled the order. Then her excuse was "we can't change the pizza it's as is". So you're telling me the 15/20 time that I've had the same order in the past recent weeks has went from Panera bread accommodating the request, to the cheese cannot be altered on the pizza! Really! I would rather them have said "we will not be substituting the cheese on the pizza going forward" as opposed to saying it couldn't be done! I guess integrity is not required for the employees at Panera bread located at 1005 Stafford Marketplace in Stafford Virginia. Tonight was it! I'm done with Panera bread at this location. They will never get another penny of my money. Customer service is substandard. They made a request so simple too hard to continue to fill and that you lied about couldn't be done, when you have been doing it for months. I didn't even bother getting the manager this time because if it would've been the same one on shift before, it would've been a waste of my time. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere and not to Panera bread. read more

This is your typical light lunch Panera. I had not been here in a while but was pleasantly surprised with the new modern decor. It gives the place a more crisp and lighted feeling. Recommended for lunch anytime. Soups are very good. I wish the sandwiches would be slightly more substantial with more meats in them. No wonder why this location received 3 stars. I am only giving then one star because they do not support veterans and they over charged me $15 dollars. I ordered a full flatbread sandwich and a soup. I was charged$24.55. I only received a half a sandwich and a soup. I am waiting for the manager to refund my money while the rest on the staff is giggling about the whole situation. I generally wouldn't be pissed but I'd rather not make another trip down here to be overcharged and laughed at. Every single time I choose to eat at the Stafford Panera my order is never correct. My kids are vegan and vegetarian by choice so they always edit the menu items to meet their dietary preferences, however when we receive our food it is more often than not left unedited. Panera at Stafford Marketplace is a favorite stop for us whether it is for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. However, we had a great disappointment today when we did a delivery order through DoorDash. The receipt that we got with the delivered order was exactly what we ordered, but the contents were not. Here are some examples: ordered a Pick 2 French onion soup and Caesar salad - received a tomato soup, baguette, and some croutons; ordered a Fontega Chicken Sandwiich - received 1/2 turkey sandwich. When we tried to call the restaurant, we gave up after 6 tries in which the call timed out. When we tried to make contact on-line, there seemed to be no way to do so. We called Customer Service for Panera and were told because we did it through DoorDash, they could not help us - we needed to contact the restaurant. It has been so frustrating. I guess we will not be patronizing Panera until they actually open up again! read more

The staff in this store are just not as friendly as they used to be. Our business usually orders every saturday for the last 5 years and they refuse to let us call ahead anymore. It's only 6-8 separate orders and we've always called ahead. Now we have our assistant gone for almost an hour every saturday because they won't let us order in advance. Not to mention almost everytime somethings missing on someone's order. This cafe used to appreciate the constant business we give them by sending us complimentary cookies or cupcakes and now we feel like a burden. If there was another place in stafford that had as many options as panera we would move our business elsewhere but we're stuck for now. read more

I haven't been to this location in quite a few months. I love what they have done to the decor of the place. It has a more trendy upscale look and feel. There are multiple ways of placing your order and I chose the traditional way of talking to the live person in front of me. The cashier was very nice and I thought she had gotten my correct order however upon finally receiving my order it was incorrect. It took about 20 minutes to actually get everything that I ordered. I had gotten 2 drinks and 1 bagel. The screen said that my order was ready to pick up but once I got to the counter it was no where to be found. Don't put on the screen that it is ready if it is not. I waited just to have the drink be incorrect and then waited for the drink to be corrected and it came out a second time incorrect again. At that point I gave up and took my tool drinks and bagel and left. I didn't enjoy my experience and it will probably take a while for me to return. Things this location should work on is order accuracy and time the order is delivered. Don't pushed finished just for the sake of clearing the system. read more

I have loved Panera for almost a decade. This location is no exception. The food is simple but always fresh. I love how they have a number of "go to" staple items as well as a few seasonal items that they rotate from time to time. The lobster sandwich they offer during the summers is to die for. Paneras food is always great! Served just right but today the cashier was crappy...maybe she hates her job im not sure but that was the energy i got from her today.
