I had never been to Panera before and I waited in line for probably 20 minutes, ordered a sandwich that took another 20 minutes, it took even longer for my lemonade to be poured into a cup (how is that possible?!) and the sandwich was crappy when I finally got it - it was basically more lettuce than turkey and it was bland. This is one of the places that you might find at the food court in a mall right next to Sbarro but it wasn't. It's not a real cafe and everything is pretty formulaic and pre-made but it's not bad. I had a breakfast pannini that was much better than a Breakfast Jack, and a cup of regular coffee... and by regular I mean some medium-roast-java-arabica-vienna-mountain-blend-something-or-other. the coffee wasn't great but it was coffee. They make their own bread there but it's like high schoolers running a bread machine. When the timer goes off will some PLEASE TURN IT OFF!! It was driving me crazy. We cater a ton of lunches from here for my work. My best advice is that if you are going to do that make sure you get it delivered. Waiting in line is terrible and I have had to do it many times. The food is always good, but the customer service is always inconsistent. Tonite, at 7 pm, the cashier took 15 minutes to take my order, and she started with advising me she was in training so please bare with her. She obviously was not familiar with putting orders in the register, and kept deleting it because she was ringing up the pick 2 order incorrectly. The employee on the register next to her offered her no assistance and the manager was nowhere to be found. The manager showed up to assist her 15 minutes later after the line became long and you could see the frustration on their face and mine. I don't blame the trainee, I blame management for failing to continue but to supervise her training at the expense of the customer. read more

Panera Bread I'm unsure what it is that brings me back, this location itself is really good compared to their location in Fairfield. The staff here is generally fast and friendly, it's usually not too long of a wait. Even if it is, they're usually fast on knocking down the line, and with their fast lane kiosks, it gets rid of the whole wait time. The food is great, it's a perfect lunch spot or if you're in the mood for a light dinner, they bring the food to your table and usually are attentive if you need something or if your order wasn't right. The only 2 downsides is the pricing it's a bit pricy for what you're getting. They do offer discounted pastries and their rewards card gives you discounts and perks so that's a plus. The other thing and I'm not sure what the issue is, but no matter the weather it's always cold in here, at least for me it is. So do bring a hoodie or a comfy sweater with you if you plan on dining in. Yes, even in the summer. read more

I don't know why I keep coming back to this panera- probably only for the fact that it's right by my work. Every time I come here I've been disappointed. Last time I ordered a toasted bagel it was burnt, the two times before that they were out of bagels and wouldn't have anymore for another hour and a half.. This was at 8:30 in the morning.. You would think that a place like panera would be better stocked on bagels in the morning. This morning they were yet again out of the bagel that I wanted but at least had a few other options to choose from. I also ordered a caffe mocha (that took a good 4 minutes of standing around before anyone started to make it for me) that was only 3/4 of the way full when I went to add some sugar. I could've made a better salad using the dead grass from my neighbors lawn.. Brown & wilted romaine lettuce, literally only a few drops of salad dressing in the dressing containers & the salad itself was just small and unappealing. This location was out of everything including all varieties of unsweetened iced teas and bread for my sandwich. When I was asked what bread I would like instead the cook was so overwhelmed he couldn't offer me anything and said he "needed a moment" . I said replace with whatever you think is best and am still waiting to see if I will get any unsweetened iced tea. Probably the last time I'll come here. Terrible customer service. My family and I love this place. We're regulars here...usually come for breakfast. They have a wide assortment of pastries and bagels. The bagels seemed to have gotten smaller over the years. I love their cobblestone pastry and cinnamon roll (huge). Coffees are great too. read more
