    Frontega chicken sandwich

This Panera is closest to my office so I stopped in here for my favorite sandwich. I had the frontega chicken sandwich with a bag of chips. The employees were wearing PPE and social distancing is being observed.

The Panera that was at Orchard Lake and Maple for forever has moved here, and the interior is definitely impressive and modern. However, at 3pm on a Saturday the line was crazy busy, and there was only 1 person working the register. It took about 15 minutes for me to get through the line, and all I wanted was a bagel and a Chai tea latte - I would have used the handy self-serve kiosks, but I had a free bagel on my Panera account and the system wouldn't recognize it. The cashier got me my bagel, but then I had to go to the warm food pickup area for my Chai tea latte. She did apologize for the wait, otherwise frankly this review would have been 2 stars. They do have a pretty cool electronic board thing that tells you when your food/drink is ready (see my pic). This place definitely has some growing pains, is the TL;DR of this review. They need more counter staff. However, the space itself is very nice, and it also has a drive-through.

I had a good experience at this location. Good quality food and service. The space is quite large with plenty of quieter areas that are good for studying.

    Fruit cup

According to CDC they don't put cream cheese on bagels anymore. I also just received a fruit cup with what looks like pubic hair or beard hair ? Not sure but either way it's repulsive. No wonder this location has 2 1/2 stars. Do not eat here.

Love the food. Staff is fast and friendly. However, they often are out of bread bowls. We will defiantly be eating here again.

The only issue is, I'm guessing the kitchen was backed up and the servers were a bit overwhelmed. We ended up having an enjoyable meal, and the food itself was great as always. And eventually someone who was not technically our server took care of us and did an excellent job. I shared eggs and challah french toast with my daughter and both were great. The latte (ehhh) ... Maybe just get regular coffee. I was in the mood but they don't do almond milk in it and it was just OK. So I wouldn't get that again here.

I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.

When I went, I think it might've been a Monday evening, so it was pretty quiet and the service was almost frighteningly quick. Our meals were delicious. I had the branzino fish and I loved it so much. I wanted to finish it there, but I made myself listen to my stomach and enjoyed it as leftovers the next day instead. My server was very kind and willing to answer my egregious questions because I was having trouble deciding what I wanted. I'm excited to try eating here for lunch! Disappointing on every front…read more I ordered the steak frites, as did two others at my table. All three were requested medium. What arrived told a different story: the doneness varied significantly across the plates, suggesting a kitchen with inconsistent execution and little quality control before food leaves the pass. Beyond the temperature issues, the steaks were under-seasoned and presented with little care... not what you expect at this price point or for this type of occasion. The service compounded the frustration. Our group was large, and it was clear the staff were not adequately prepared or staffed to handle that. Mistakes accumulated throughout the evening... mis placed orders, missed requests, a general lack of coordination had our plates dancing all night. What was most disheartening was the manager's response or lack thereof. When the issues were raised, there was no meaningful acknowledgment, no accountability, and no effort to make things right. For a restaurant that presumably caters to celebratory dining, that kind of dismissal leaves a lasting impression. **Bottom line:** If you're planning a special occasion, I'd strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Vive Bloomfield did not rise to the moment, and a night that deserved better was diminished by an experience that fell short at nearly every level.
