I've been eating at this Panera for years and have had a great experience almost every time, the food is great and the employees are friendly. Had lunch there today, barely. This place was a wreck! I entered and went straight for the kiosk expecting it to be a normal, pleasant Panera Bread experience. Only after placing my order and looking about did I recognize the chaos. A sign showing the main register was not working. Employees struggling to respond to customers at the front area. Many many unbussed tables throughout the dining room, dirty dishes piled high at the trash areas. Simple morning breakfast was fantastic and easy today. Since I had a free birthday treat, I wanted to get a bagel breakfast from Panera. This location had a beautiful courtyard and fountain outside with a Coldstone next door. Ordering was easy at 7am. There use to be an Asiago breakfast bagel, my fav. Since it's been taken off the menu, I put the order together myself.... bacon, egg and cheese. My egg was over easy.... sooo yummie! The egg was perfectly cooked. For my free treat, I chose the Cranberry Orange muffin. It was slightly sweet with a tangy orange flavor. It was much better than the usual pecan roll I usually get. Had a horrible experience here. Manager Nikea was so disrespectful and rude. Staff was lost and frantic. Was ignored at cash register for 10 min, making eye contact with almost every employee before finally being acknowledged. 30 min past my curbside order pickup time. Manager told me I'd get my food "if someone can find it" no apology. Asked his name and he gave me so much attitude. Even sarcastically spelled it for me. Talked to corporate who apologized. This Panera bread is very convenient when I need a quick meal while my dog is at the groomers a few doors down. They're located in a shopping center so there's plenty of other stores to go to and this is a great place to go when you're hungry. The food is just as great as the other locations and just as clean. I stopped at this Panera Bread around 2:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 11th, and I was ravenously hungry. It seemed as though EVERYTHING I wanted to order was sold out. My finial choice (after nothing else I wanted was available) was the Mediterranean veggie sandwich -- but they were out of hummus which, of course, is a fundamental part of that sandwich. I did wind up purchasing the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and I went next door to a Publix grocery store in order to purchase my own hummus. I am glad this particular branch was not my first experience with the Panera Bread restaurant chain because it was the absolute WORSE experience with Panera Bread I've ever had. I've been to this location multiple times since the one in City Place closed down (gone, but not forgotten), and I've mostly had slightly negative experiences, with yesterday being the absolute worst I've ever had. In prior experiences, I've either had my order prepared incorrectly, either just a bit or entirely wrong (I'll accept some blame for making it "complicated" but this is multiple mistakes), my special requests are regularly ignored (I just wanted it put under the panini press), and I've been given someone's wrong order (in that instance, I'd already opened and examined the food, took it back, and saw them give it to the right customer; horrible thing to do during COVID!). As for yesterday, I was flummoxed at how awful the experience was. I ordered my food via the app at 12:10 PM, just before I walked in so as not to waste time customizing the sandwich. I waited a half-hour for my food in a moderately busy cafe with no movement on the order. I asked a worker about my order and I was told it'd be another 15 minute wait. I was annoyed but just asked for my drink. I waited fifteen minutes before the order started being prepared, thankfully, but I was still going to wait another thirty minutes for the food, which was literally just a Turkey/Bacon/Mayo/Mozz sandwich and a soup. However, other customers were worse off than me. I bore witness to a young woman storming in and demanding to speak to the manager. Why? Because she was waiting AN HOUR FOR MACARONI AND CHEESE. Literally just macaroni and cheese! After she had spoken to the manager, she still had to wait another ten minutes for them to even start preparing it. There's no reason that I could see for such a horrid delay! Their staff seemed to be the same size as usual, and the customers died down during my 75 minute wait (only got my food around 1:25 PM, no napkins either!), so I can't reasonably see why customers were being told a 30-45 minute wait. That was an absolute insult and it's the final nail in the coffin for my buying of this overpriced hospital food. I've already filed a complaint with corporate because Jesus Christ, 75 minutes for a sandwich and tomato soup? AN HOUR FOR MAC AND CHEESE? What type of delay were they experiencing?? Oh, and PS: my food was still cold. What a genuine insult that all was. PPS: when I had left after my experience, I noticed that same young woman making her way back to the Panera, bag in hand. Very poor location. They get online orders wrong all the time, don't check them, staff is not very good. Ordered coffee, they gave me hot chocolate. Not to mention that panera in general has gone downhill. Quality and menu choices went down, prices up. Used to serve half a sandwich, now it's a quarter sandwich cut in a triangle. One star for being the (on the surface) fanciest looking Panera I've ever been to. Walked in and usually you know what to expect, but this looked really different. I liked that they had a little nook area for seating, just seemed like a really cool layout. And the positives stop there. I'm not sure if anyone is assigned to clean this place at all, there were crumbs everywhere, some random dirty napkins on tables, I felt like I had to do my own cleaning to make sure I didn't get cooties. I ended up sitting for a bit to do some school work, I ordered something when I arrived and then as I left a few hours later. For some reason, none of my purchases counted toward my reward count, maybe not an issue with the location but also seemed to be a suspicious side effect. I waited for something like 15 minutes for a muffin I was getting to go, finally someone saw me standing near the rapid pickup area and then went in search of my muffin. What's the point of placing the order in advance if three staff members are going to stand around, ignoring orders until someone else proactively finds out what you're waiting for? I order i20 bagels to take to a client...tell my why most of my bagels are cinnamon and cinnamon's all over the other bagels. As she puts the cinnamon bagels in with the regular bagels. Then as she's making these bagels, she keeps serving other people and looking at me as she's doing part of my order, and taking care of other orders, all by herself poorly managed. read more

The toilet paper is laying on another part of the floor. Management exceptionally rude. I was traveling through the area. I am a regular at Panera in my own town. The young girl taking my order made several mistakes (charged me almost $3 for my ice water, charged me $.99 for discounted pastry that I did not qualify for, did not ask about my side choice, and I had to repeat my order no less than 3 times). She was clearly new, so I had no issue with her, but when I asked for my money back on the water, the Asst. Manager (called herself "acting manager") came over. She had the worst possible attitude. She refunded my $3 water, said the girl made a mistake (definitely did not apologize) and then refused to give me my pastry. She said I did not qualify for it, without paying for a drink. I said I was charged, she said I was not. I said you are still holding the receipt... look at it. She practically threw the pastry at me rather than refund me. Another girl came over and said "do you still want your food?" I said "of course I do. I just don't want to be charged incorrectly, but I have paid for my meal". The "acting manager" then snapped "she was not talking to you!" Then she screamed "have a great day ma'am!!" as I walked away. The entire thing was quite juvenile and unprofessional. Only giving them two stars because I like that there's a private room away from everyone else where I can study while drinking coffee. Customer service here is horrible. Employees don't seem to care for the customers. I went up to the counter when it was my turn, the cashier doesn't greet me (or look me in the eye for that matter), and asks me what I wanted. I say just an iced coffee. As I say my order, she turns to her right to start listening to a conversation between two other employees. Awkward pause for 5 seconds. Then she said "Okay, one...what was it again?" I tell her again, she punches in my order, and just hands me the receipt. Panera's vision is for their establishments to be an oasis for customers. This Panera Bread does not even deserve a star. I should have known from the very beginning I should have gone somewhere else. When placing my order the menus items on the board were not even correct along with the prices. Just one of the items that I wanted was a cup of soup, but they could only offer a bowl. After more than 20 minutes waiting for a salad , soup and cookie. Mind you, only one person in front of me. I finally got my food. The green goddess salad that I always get looked like an animal just went through it. It was something you'd find in a dumpster. The chicken was not even cooked and looked like it came out of a can of some sort. Then came time for my big bowl of soup. Soup was warm, not hot. and the bread was so stale you could play hockey with it. Last but not least I was hoping for something good with the cookie. I guess my hopes were too high, as the cookie was crunchy and cold as can be. Panera cookies are usually soft and warm because they keep them on the warmer tray. I was so turned off by all of this. , I went to return the meal, only to stand there with the food in my hand waiting for the manger to come up front. The apology I was given by the a manger was just as poor as the food and under her breath. Not sympathetic what so ever. They didn't even offer to make it right or see if I wanted something else. Anything to make it right would have been nice or at least offered. Restaurant 101. Finally the manager makes her way to the register as I am still standing there with the food in my hands.. The manger does finally refund the amount, but again says nothing to apologize. After the refund is given. I'm still standing with the plates in my hand. I then had to say do you want to take these back? Did she really think I was going to go to the trash and throw it away. I don't think so. Between the sub poor service and food. You couldn't ask for anything worse. If your thinking about coming to this Panera Bread for lunch. You should consider another location, better yet another place for lunch. Bought lunch for my team at Panera today and what a nightmare. Placed the order online, but still had to wait over 30 minutes. It was utter chaos. The sandwiches had ingredients that were missing and what we asked to be excluded, was included. The Mediterranean sandwich consisted of two pieces of tomato with some feta cheese, it was awful. None of the sandwiches were labeled. We had to open someone else's sandwich to see what it was. Hot food was cold. The worst lunch I have ever had from Panera. The parking near this place is horrible. All the parking rows are one way. There is only one way in and out of this parking lot. The food was just okay. The food was not good. They need to fingure out the Panera recipes. The green goddess dressing was not good at all. I always get this dressing and this is the first tie it had no flavor.
