We bought a $20,000 watch plus 2 straps for my husband, and the straps changed color, they look patchy and stained. The store said there is nothing they can do, and the warranty for the straps is one week only! I think there should be a quality guarantee for such an expensive item, and it's in the company's best interest not to have people walking around with Panerai that looks like , they didn't even offer a discount to buy new or offer to look at them. We have a great experience every time we have been in, whether it was when we initially purchased the watches or if we came in to buy straps etc.. The store is beautiful inside and designed impeccably. Every detail fits with the brand and makes sense. They had just come out with the 38mm luminor due PAM00755 when I purchased it- really glad they came out with a smaller case option for women (or smaller-framed men). I absolutely love the watch and have not had one issue with it since buying it. Great value for the caliber of watch you get. While I'm not sure if I'll add another Panerai to my collection, I'm very pleased with the one I have. And the service at this location is wonderful. Terrible experience with the store, my husband bought me a luminar panerai watch from this store at Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive for my birthday, I started having problem with this watch less than a year after the purchase date and the watch still not functions correctly and move too fast and never show me the correct time, the store refused to replace the time piece that we paid over 8000$ for it and keep sending it for service which takes over a month each time and have not resolved the problem with the watch. This is the third time o brought the watch bank to the store, It is very disappointing that the company does not stand behind their product which they charge an arm and leg for it. Recently again for servicing the same persisting problem they charged me 1300$ which was appalling to me. I have been a Panerai customer for 14 years and miss their original boutique on Brighton way, as well as their friendly and personable staff. I always had wonderful experiences there (actually, I bought my first Panerai there). Panerai new realm is now on Rodeo drive. Tada!... The venue is quite impressive: high-tech display cases, well designed furniture... Yet, the unwelcoming and pompous attitude of Kristin, their Assistant Boutique Manager, was appalling and uncalled for. The store was supposedly open for another 20-25 minutes but she immediately made us feel persona non grata. Apparently, we didn't have the nouveau riche accoutrements to impress or the right profile... Most likely, we were interfering with her ambition to close at 6:00pm sharp. I have to start off with saying this place went above and beyond in my expectations!! And that's saying A LOT!! So we walk in, both Felisha and another sweet sales person that I didn't catch her name, both greeted us as a box wrapped with a ribbon was on the counter along with 2 glasses of champagne and chocolates! As he got over the shock and started to open the box, inside was a card that read "please choose your watch, compliments of Hana". We were treated so well that it was such a memorable and special moment for the two of us. I keep calling back and it disconnects, says all circuits are busy, says that the mobile voicemail hasn't been set up or connects to a person just long enough to have them apologize that they are having phone trouble before disconnecting me again. I've been collecting Panerai for more than twelve years. I currently own over 12 Panerai pieces, and another 30 or so other brands (Rolex, Corum, etc). Acquiring collector pieces has become incredibly difficult from the dealers of Panerai watches. Many dealers accuse Panerai of sending most of the "Novelty" pieces to their boutiques, and the more pedestrian pieces to the dealers. Now I don't know how true that is, but you can check with your local dealer to to get the scoope probably. The watches are beautiful, and the customer service is very good. I can tell you that I have put my name on the so-called "List" for desired pieces only to be pushed down the list so far you couldn't see the sky. I fear it has become a political game of who you know and how connected you are. And yes, I did have my name slipped down the list from a number two spot to some 85ish position over several months while waiting for a desired piece They have a great reputation, and offer great service, but I really question how some of their pieces are distributed. I see some "popular" people post their pieces on the forums when they were not even aware of the pieces being launched until later, nor do they "collect", but turn them within a year for a profit--check e-bay for these "Novelty" pieces and know there are so few of them it's not hard to figure out who's selling them. There really are few watches as nice. Corporate after the sale service is "ok", and know it is expensive. Getting out paying less than $400 is rare, but they do good work. Rarely do they repair cosmetic items, but replace. You never get your old parts, but what would you do with them anyway. I had a bezel replaced once because it was scratched--you'd think they'd send me the old one so I could play around with it. Nope. Never saw it again. But the new one was awfully nice. When looking for a unique piece, you better diversify. read more
