My first time trying paninis and I would definitely come back, pizza is absolutely delicious, very specific hours and days open.

Charming little bakery with fabulous baked goods and delicious pizza. We stop here every year we're on the Coast.

This bakery is located in the Nye Beach area and operates as a walk-up window, so I almost passed it when looking for it. Luckily, someone else was ordering before me so I was able to spot it. The bakery offers different pastries each day, and updates its board accordingly. The first day I went here, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a cherry Danish. The croissant's bread to filling ratio felt off (not enough meat and cheese for the amount of bread), but the croissant itself was buttery and flaky. The cherry danish was really rich--under the layer of cherry compote, there was a cream cheese layer, and it was honestly too rich for me to eat. I did enjoy the bread portion, but the cheese really put it over. The second day I stopped by, I ordered a cheese and spinach scone, a chocolate croissant and a strawberry danish. The scone was good--it wasn't overly dry as scones often are, but it was lacking in spinach (from my expectations). The chocolate croissant was similar--filling was lacking but bread was good. And the strawberry danish was really similar to the cherry danish from the previous visit, where the filling was too rich but the danish itself was flaky and buttery. Even though the filling amount seemed to be a struggle, I did still enjoy stopping by this bakery. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the prices seemed fair. I also liked that it was open earlier than other bakeries in the nearby area, which was nice for early morning pastry runs.

Isn't Newport one of the most idyllic seaside communities on the West Coast or what?!?!? PANINI BAKERY is an actual bakery and they bake their own breads and pastries here. It is also one of the few (probably 5) places that was open early when we were there during the summer. You know you came to the right place when the locals are there to read the newspaper and talk about local happenings. The place is super tiny and I love it for it! Their GRANOLA YOGURT had house-made granola and the yogurt was unsweetened (all natural as some would say). The coffee was dark and brewed strong and made sure we were ready for the day. The CHOCOLATE CROISSANT was so very good too. Panini Bakery was within walking distance of several hotels in the area and is a short walk from the sand. It seemed to be a good spot to stop for the local cyclists.

Wonderful bakery. Great service. Delicious pastries and breads. They make the best chocolate chip cookies.

Talk about a hole-in-the-wall joint, this is it! Barely visible until you almost pass it. There are several small tables inside and a small porch area for two out front. Walking in you find a small store front counter area with a larger kitchen area in the back. The display case is an art show of tasty treats. The cinnamon buns are as huge as bricks! There are various scones, muffins, danishes.... i opted for the ham and cheese croissant. This place is by no means glamorous, but the food is worth fighting over, very delicious and brought to you with a smile. I'll be back tomorrow morning for another go around!

It's pretty small inside and definitely has an antique shop feel. There's lots of different styles and things around. There are a few small tables scattered throughout. The lady at the front was very kind and happy to walk us through their options. They have one small case that's mostly savory and one small case that's sweets with a tiny truffle case on the counter. I think the move here is the cinnamon roll, but when we arrived they were still baking, which meant it smelled delightful, but were weren't able to try one. We ended up trying the breakfast muffin, which was really unique. It's a muffin with cheese and spinach baked in, along with an entire strip of bacon just under the surface, and an entire egg baked in the middle. It was good, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I'm not usually a scone fan, I prefer a muffin, but their scones looked good. We tried the blueberry lemon and the cranberry orange. They were both really flavorful with a good texture, not super dry. The blueberry edged out the cranberry for me because the blueberries were fresh, whereas the cranberry were dried. This is a cute small shop, clearly making everything from scratch with passion. I'd stop back in for a cinnamon roll for sure!

There's something for everyone, and they even have dog treats if you bring your pups to the shop. I would come back to Newport for a variety of reasons, but I would definitely come back for this coffee experience.
