I can only speak for take out not dine in. DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THIS LOCATION. So normally I wouldn't waste time writing a review for a small error. However, this time, the attitude of the staff was completely out of line. I placed a very large order the night before. I went to pick it up after calling them to make sure it'll be ready a bit earlier than the planned time. They said it's fine. I get there and a gentleman in the white asks me the name on the order and hands me a bag. He repeats the order to me. I confirm a second time, and ask "is everything in the bag" he says "yup everything is there and your salad is at the top the shelf" I said great, took the bag and the salad and accepted his words. On the way home they call my sister who placed the order for me and say "that guy who picked up the order just walked out without getting the other trays" now, mind you, the gentleman didn't say anything about other trays and there was no other trays near the salad. I would've taken them and had no reason not to. This is where it gets crazy. I come back and tell the manager what happened then some server in black says he served me and told me to get the trays and now there's 3 new trays under where the salad was. I said no it wasn't you but the manager didn't believe me or say a word. No offer to check the cameras. No accepting of responsibility. No apology. They just say a miscommunication happened. The guy in the black kept blaming me and I'd never met him before. I realized these guys are trying to gaslight me after placing a half a grand order. I realized they don't want to improve their service or take any responsibility and told them I'll never be back. No apology no help, nothing. All I wanted was something like "sorry sir, we didn't realize it, we didn't mean to blame you, we'll do out best to never have it happen again" but no. They aren't capable of good service. I'll never be back, as I told them while they can that blank stare on their faces. I still can't believe it. Food was half and half, koobideh was good but skirt steak was inedible! I first tried PKG when my fiancée and I went to the Santa Ana location. My fiancée had long told me about how good it was and she was not kidding. Their food is so delicious and I was ecstatic when I found out they were opening one in Brea. This location felt a little smaller in size than the Santa Ana or Los Angeles one, but that's obviously no big deal. We were seated right away and given glasses of iced water by the hostess. Our waiter, Jordan, then came to take our actual drink orders. I go for the regular lemonade every time. It's so refreshing and tasty. For an appetizer our favorite go-to is the caprese. I enjoy making small sandwiches out of it lol it's so good. For my entree, it's safe to say my fiancée and I are creatures of habit lol. She gets the salmon plate which is great while I go for the beef kabob plate which is seriously the best in my opinion. The beef is so delicious and juicy and is just all around outstanding. Cesar salad and basmati rice round out the plates and you have 2 full happy people who can't wait to come back! read more

Today we came to get some yummy dinner at this place (that has delicious food BTW) and we sat at a table close to the cashier/counter. We overheard this KID (I call him kid cause he looked like he was 18 years old) came in to pick up a phone order and was offended for being asked to verify the name of the order!! WTH! Dined here yesterday for dinner around 4:30 pm. It was pretty crowded, we had to wait for a table. Then we had to get moved inside because of all the commotion. Service was a bit slow. The food was fine, but we usually avoid this location because the wait is much longer than other PKG restaurants. This is one is too small and tends to be understaffed. Also, the tables are so close together it feels like you're dining with strangers. When we got moved inside, the person at the next table moved over and honestly, they shouldn't be sitting people so close together. read more

We just went here for our fourth time. We keep hoping, however, except for our first time, the service has not been good. Once we are seated, it takes a long time for a server to get to our table. I've eaten at PKG at other locations and loved it since, but was especially excited that they opened a new store in Brea since it's closer to home! I've never placed an online order before, but the process was smooth and pickup was easy and ready to go by the time I arrived. I ordered the family meal, and portions were large and separated by salad, rice tray and chicken kabob tray. It came in a nice large bag (they really fit it all in one bag to make it easier to carry), and no spills or messes in the car driving back home. I have to say that they certainly try to maximize their space to fit as many tables as possible. It felt a bit congested as I felt people were eating on top of each other. Not sure if it meets fire code standards but when all the chairs and tables are filled it's almost impossible to walk through the restaurant. The decor they used gave it a "higher end" and more sophisticated feel but the restaurant itself is still very casual. The dining area is one main room with booths around with sides and free standing tables and chairs in the middle. They also offer outdoor seating. On your the food. We ordered the family meal which gives you three skewers. One of the skewer has to be chicken but you have your choice of the other two. We picked shrimp and flat iron steak. The chicken was okay and a bit on the dry side. The shrimp was actually very good, plump and fresh. The steak however was bland and inconsistent. Two of the pieces were way undercooked and chewy. The other two pieces were over cooked. They didn't ask how you wanted your beef. The vegetables that came with it were also cooked insistently. There's definitely plenty of rice that comes with it but not enough rice to protein ratio. The two salads we got are definitely enough for 4 people and comes tossed with dressing. We tried both the lentil and chicken soup. Both were okay but not hot enough (temperature). We also tried the trio hummus appetizer with both cucumbers and bread. The hummus has a good texture although I wasn't a fan of the beet hummus. I think there's enough positives about the place and food for me to come back to try their sandwiches and other items. Two of us arrived before 5:30 pm on a Monday- 2 tables on the patio were occupied as were several indoors. We asked for an outdoor table and were offered a small table- I asked for a larger table and were told they have to hold those tables for 3 or more people- even indoors. They were not busy, I don't understand why we could not be accommodated. Food was mediocre- all in need of seasoning. Best thing on the table was the tzatziki. Iced tea was cloudy and tasted like it had been sitting around for days. It was difficult to fit all the table wear on the small table we were given. And oh, did I mention the dirty plate I was given? No problem- we put things we didn't need and had no room for on the adjacent larger table we were originally refused. They lost two customers- we won't be back! In today's economy they should do all they can to accommodate customers, ensure table wear is clean, and food is well prepared. Took over 20 minutes after sitting down before someone took our order. One of the things I ordered was the bread basket being very specific I wanted the Tuscan bread and not the pita. They brought out a basket of only pita bread which I had them take back. We never got anything after that before we left 50 minutes after we sat down. I absolutely love Panini Kabob grill, their food is very delicious. I've been to 3 of their locations so far, Santa Ana, Brea and Rancho Cucamonga. Unfortunately Brea location has been the most disappointing one as there is never any seating available since it's a lot smaller than the other locations. I always get takeout, but they take a long time to prepare the food, they almost always go over their estimate. One time I ordered online on a Sunday night and it said it would take 30-40 minutes and it ended up taking over an hour and I had to stand in that crowded restaurant for half an hour to wait for my food. When it's not busy they'll go over around 10 minutes on their estimate. Most of the food isn't as good when it's takeout but only at this location, the chicken is more dry, the food is less flavorful overall. The staff isn't very good, many aren't very welcoming and don't smile. One time I was came in to get food I had ordered online, none of the cashiers/servers acknowledged me, I stood there for 5 minutes and decided to look at the bags of orders that were already ready and saw mine was there and had been there since before I got there so I started walking towards it to grab it and that's when I was acknowledged by a blonde female server who ran over to stop me from grabbing my order and first making sure it actually was my order. She was not friendly, when she ran over it felt a bit aggressive. Unfortunately I live in Brea and another Panini Kabob would be 20-25 minutes away so I have to come to this one most of the time, I wish they would do better though, for the customer service and food quality I give this specific location 2 stars. read more

I've been to several Panini locations by now and they all deliver. But today was my family's first time coming to the Brea location and we all said the same thing: the food is always consistent with prep and taste among the locations we've been to. The chicken kebabs all have that nice char flavor and our favorite to start is always the hummus trio. I will say that Brea is a much smaller location than compared to DTLA or the Santa Ana restaurants but it wasn't an issue for us as we were seated within 10 mins upon our arrival on this busy Sunday afternoon. The reason we always come back or even order pickup to go is the food is always fresh and and incredibly delicious. I'll always come back to Panini for their great food and service! read more
