Man, Panini Kabob Grill just never disappoints. Every time I come here, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite Mediterranean spots. There are so many different kebabs to choose from, and I've yet to have one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. It was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor while putting such a unique twist on traditional hummus. It's one of those dishes that completely changes your expectations and has you thinking about it long after you've left the restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or having dinner with friends or family. The menu is packed with so many dishes that I still want to try, which just gives me another reason to keep coming back. I was craving Mediterranean food, so my husband ordered dinner here via third party app. It was easy to order thru the third party app. You choose your meal. My husband ordered Jumbo Shrimp Ka-Box. The description read "4 charbroiled jumbo prawns with grilled vegetables, broccoli, and pita bread. Served with your choice of rice and spread. The vegetables in his order looks over charred and He did not get broccoli in his order. And the shrimp did not look jumbo and it was overcooked. I ordered the Falafel Ka-Box. The description reads "Six falafels, traditional garbanzo hummus and tzatziki. Served with warm pita bread." On the app You choose your rice - I choose basmati rice. Not sure why they let you choose your spread when the description reads you get hummus and tzatziki. I just selected hummus. My order was missing the hummus and tzatziki. I wish they would have given me my spreads cos my meal would have been dry without it (imo). Since I had no spread, my husband ended giving me his which meant he had no spread for his meal. I wish they would have done better because I was craving food from here for so long and other locations I have been to, I have never had this problem. read more

This location is located in a big plaza so there's plenty of parking. Came here on Sunday and there was a wait for about 30 minutes and so they get your number down and they text you when your table is ready. Staff was nice and hospitable, and the food came out promptly. We ordered the beef koobideh plate(2 skewers) includes race, grilled vegetables in your choice of salad. The sampler appetizer which comes with three types of hummus, tzatziki, falafel, Caprese salad, and pieces of pita bread, but we also asked for slices of cucumber to dip with as well, which is available upon request. The food is always good and fresh here so if you're looking for a good Mediterranean cuisine, they've got good options here for the whole family to enjoy. I've been to Panini Kebab Grill twice in the last month, even though it's down in Long Beach. That speaks to the variety that is available there and what makes it a good dining option. The first time I went, I went and met up with a former coworker for lunch, and we had a great time. I ordered the strawberry date salad with chicken, which was nice and refreshing. The second time actually took a family member there for a birthday dinner. I ended up getting the chicken shish kebab. That plate came with rice, salad, and several pieces of chicken. It was very, very filling. Additionally, we saw another table having a little birthday celebration. So we requested the same and they came and sang to my family member, which was really nice - and they comped our ice cream sundae. Definitely would recommend, definitely would go back again, when I'm in the Long Beach area. Afterwords, there's plenty of places around for dessert if you are thinking of that too! read more

We have been here on a couple of occasions. And it is a nice restaurant in the food is not too bad. Today I ordered the strawberry date salad as my side with my order. The Kebab wrap was okay with the meat could have been a little more flavorful it was a little on the land side. And the strawberry date salad which I was really looking forward to trying was good however there was literally only two small slivers of dates in the salad. I mean if you're going to offer a strawberry date salad you should have plenty of each in it especially since you're showcasing the dates and the strawberries! Service was okay I've had better and I've had worse. Will probably go back at some point, but probably won't go out of our way. Today, my family and I had lunch at Panini Kabob Grill for the first time. It's actually funny that it took me this long to try it, especially knowing how many people love this place. But today was finally the day and it did not disappoint. From the moment we sat down, we were blown away by the wonderful service. Our waitress, Celeste, was truly the highlight of our visit. She was so attentive and had that rare, comforting presence...like someone you've known for years, even though you just met. We had a few questions about the menu, and she confidently walked us through everything, offering thoughtful recommendations that we all ended up loving. We ordered the Atlantic salmon kabob plate, the flat iron kabob plate, and the meat lovers kabob plate. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The meats were incredibly moist and flavorful, with a beautiful char from the grill on the outside while staying tender and juicy inside. The basmati rice was absolutely delicious...fluffy, buttery, and a perfect complement to the plates. Definitely a 10/10. My mom ordered the strawberry date salad and couldn't stop raving about it. Another 10/10. I also tried the trio of hummus with pita. The hummus itself was great, but I'd give this dish a 7/10 because the pita wasn't anything special. It was a bit cold and tasted store-bought. That said, I have to circle back to Celeste because she truly made our experience exceptional. I love panini kabob... this is my favorite location. Everything is so fresh and you can tell. If I'm ever craving Mediterranean food, I will be here. Parking is easy to find, always find it near the location. I always order the entree which comes with your choice of rice and salad. My go to is the beef koobideh skewers (I get two because I share this plate with my husband because it comes with a lot of food!) but they also offer 1 skewer which is enough in my opinion. They are very generous when it comes to portion sizes, they do not skimp out on the rice or salad. It also comes with grilled vegetables and side of tzatziki. I'm not vegetarian or anything but I get the Vegetable Kabob which comes with hummus but I switch it for tzatziki. This comes with zucchini, mushroom, squash, and the traditional tomato, onion, and bell peppers that comes with every kabob entree. My mom enjoys the salmon kabob and like I said they are very generous with the portions... my mom always to gos because it's a lot of food. I love the pita as well, they have appetizers that have more pita/hummus/tzatziki but I just like a small portion and they have if you ask for just a small side of the pita (picture shown). Location wise, it's great as it's literally in the middle of everything. Part of the Long Beach Exchange and right across the street from The Hanger. They have outdoor patio seating but there was construction going on so it wasn't utilized. Let me say, it was busy. Good for them. It was just after 12 when we walked in. The whole restaurants was packed on both side. It seemed like there was only one person working when we arrived. We got seated as there was an open table but one of the booth was emptied. Asked the waiter if we could have that instead but she said it was for 5 people so we couldn't have it. It was basically you sit where you're told. Anyways, the menu is great. We always start off with the hummus trio. Three massive scoops of hummus with slices of pitas. Each one was excellent in its own way. We had to order extra pita as it was a good amount left over. Entrees, we shared the meat lover, chicken skewers with grilled veggies and a beef skewers. Served with two items which we went with the Greek salad and basmati rice. Meat was tender and juicy. Flavored and seasoned well. It's alway between this dish and the salmon skewers. Food is alway great. It was quite busy when we walked in so seating was basically not an option but towards the end of our meal, people were pretty much sitting wherever as it started to die down. This review is for the family style. It's 54.99 and it's enough food for 3-4 people. So finally I asked one of them, if I could be taken to my table, to order. The female that escorted me, gave a look at me, like I did something wrong and it made her frustrated for having to walk me over. So then the waiter approached my table and introduced himself to me. Took my beverage and entree order. It was brought out pretty quickly. Although the panini I ordered was rushed in preparation. There was barely any Mediterranean chicken, a few slithers of artichokes and it was drowned in pesto sauce. So I are half of the sandwich, and the other half I only ate the chicken and cheese. So the runner who brought my food out, I asked for additional napkins, yet the runner never brought them out. The original server never refilled my drink order, and never brought my napkins. Dessert time. Okay so I ordered baklava. The pieces of baklava were so small, it was a joke and not worth $9.00. The server lacked customer service, and the food was lack luster. The staff was suuuuper friendly from the moment I walked in! It has a very casual vibe-good for families. I got the salmon kabob-I was apprehensive since salmon can dry out quickly- but I was assured it wasn't going to be dry. OMG-it was sooooo gooooooood!!! Soft and flavorful- flaky and delicious!! I've been going to various Panini Kabob Grills for over 15 years. I even used to work out at the same gym as the owner in Costa Mesa. I have always been happy with their service and quality, but tonight we went to the LBX location and had a terrible experience. First off, the waiter wouldn't even make eye contact when he sat us down. He took our order and rushed off. About five minutes later, a couple sat down next to us. They began speaking Spanish with our waiter, chatting about how the guest was a doorman at a club and how the waiter wanted to go there to get in for free. They were "yukking it up" for several minutes. (PS I speak spanish). Then, after literally only three minutes, two plates of food were placed in front of them. My partner and I looked at each other, thinking, "Must be nice to get special service." Meanwhile, we waited another 10 minutes with nothing. At that point, I started a timer. The restaurant was nearly empty, so it wasn't a matter of being busy. When we finally went to the counter to ask what happened, the waiter pointed to a female server and claimed she made a mistake by giving our food to the other couple. We called it out for what it looked like: favoritism and semi-racist behavior. We left the restaurant very upset. After driving around the parking lot, I decided to go back in to speak with the manager, Angel. When I told him what happened, the story suddenly changed. Now, the excuse was that the other couple only ordered one Koobideh kabob while we ordered two, so ours took longer --a total contradiction to the first story about the "server's mistake." They were clearly scheming to protect themselves. We will be reaching out to the corporate office to let them know. Hopefully, this culture of favoritism and racism will be addressed. read more

My daughter and I stopped by for a very early Sunday dinner (3:30) after running errands at the LBX. The restaurant was full indoors, with a few patio tables available. There were other guests waiting to check in/ get on the waitlist so we nabbed a patio table. Though they lowered the shades it was quite warm there, with the September heat. But our area was fairly quiet at least compared with the indoor crowd. We each ordered the lamb kabob plate with Mediterranean salad and basmati rice. They have a delicious looking menu with appetizers, wraps, sandwiches and pasta but we didn't want a heavy meal this time. They even have a breakfast menu. The wait to receive our dinners was very long, over 45 minutes. We were worried our order might have been lost, but upon having a server check we were told they got backed up with a high volume of take-out and delivery orders. Eventually we received our meals, a plate filled generously with each item. Server checked on us a few times after we received our food. Our lamb skewers were both cooked medium (as I had ordered, but my daughter had ordered hers medium rare); it was a little chewy but tasty. The grilled vegetables were delicious, the salad that perfect combination of salty, vinegary and savory. I liked that the rice and meat were not salty. We may or may not return, as there are many Mediterranean restaurant options in Long Beach, but it's a nice addition to the center for a healthy, flavorful meal.
