I was clearly uncomfortable but instead of apologizing he doubled down and gave me a dgaf eye roll. Big yikes!!! Will not be returning here. The interior itself is nice. The pick up area has a nice line-up of wine and the seasoning station has some nice pottery in the shelves. One thing to consider is, with the front of house facing the sun, it gets really hot in here. I feel like they need to crank the air conditioning to make it more comfortable. At the very least, they should lower the blinds to minimize the amount of sunlight warming the inside. I am literally sweating while typing this review. Also, the tables and chairs were a little messy when I ate here, even though it was extremely quiet and pretty empty. (See photos attached) Foodwise, it has been a few years since I last had tender greens. I'm not sure if it's the chain itself or this specific location, but the quality and portions of the food have gone down. They cut down to half a bread slice, the meat portions seem to be cut in half too since I last dined here. The mashed potatoes had large chunks of potato (bigger than a quarter!) in them. Lastly, the food all around could have used more seasoning. Granted, there are pepper grinders available for use, but pepper cannot make up for a lack of salt and butter! The meats and mashed potato's were quite bland. Service was the high point of my meal here. The server Roberto was very courteous and checked on the guests often. Moreover he was the only one cleaning the dining area. He took the time to tell us jokes each time he checked on us. He was the star of the show for sure. 2/5 probably won't return nor recommend. I came to post a review for this location, not realizing I already posted a review a few years back. I am a regular patron of Tender Greens via delivery. I have never set foot in one of their physical locations, but I've ordered from several of their locations for delivery. I do not understand how this location remains in business. For starters, the food is horrible. There is always something missing from orders from this location. The drinks are equally terrible. I love their hibiscus tea at other locations, but the hibiscus tea at this location was so tart and sour, I could not drink it. I ordered a pesto pasta dish that comes in either a vegetable option or with chicken. I ordered the vegetable pasta. Despite the pasta containing pesto, it is flavorless. I ordered a side Caesar salad. The salad contained more dressing than salad. I am used to the salad portions, even side, salads, being full, and containing fresh ingredients. The salad was neither fresh nor made properly. That's confusing, considering a Caesar salad is literally romaine lettuce, croutons (the croutons in the salad were stale), Parmesan cheese (of which there was none) and dressing. I ordered another side salad, which literally consists of lettuce and dressing. That wasn't made correctly either. A good 50% of the lettuce was wilted. The pasta, as I said, was flavorless. Each item was supposed to come with bread, which I requested. I received the equivalent of one and a half slices of bread for the three items. I will need to make a note to self never to order from this location again. It clearly slipped my mind that I ordered from this location because it was three years ago when I first left a review. This location should close because they definitely do not comport with the standards of other Tender Greens locations. read more

What a great concept! Healthy food served fast. I loved my visit to Tender Greens and no doubt will be back at some point. I chose the seared ahi tuna with a side of farro salad and beets. Everything was spectacular, and tasted fresh. My meal also came with a small slice of grilled bread that also was very good. There were so many options and combinations to create, you could probably eat here every day for a month and not eat the same combination. Solid place to grab a quick healthy meal. This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Westfield Century City mall. I visited with 3 others on a Monday evening. Our visit was spontaneous as we had 45 minutes to kill. There was no wait and plenty of seating available. This order at the counter restaurant was clean and modern in decor. We ordered the Thai Bowl with Shrimp, a Chicken Plate and 2 Carrot Hummus Toasts. Our food was brought out to us in a timely manner was in good portion and tasty. Service was outstanding. Tender Greens was a mixed experience at this location. There's plenty of seating, but the dining area is in serious need of an update. The booth seating is rough--peeling leather, stained fabric--and many of the chairs are wobbly and clearly very worn. The tables weren't much better; several were uneven, unstable, and felt like they were on their last legs. Service was fine but pretty quiet and not especially friendly or welcoming. I tried to order the seasonal Chicken Adobo, but despite the restaurant having opened only about an hour earlier and not being busy, it wasn't available. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The chipotle BBQ chicken sandwich tasted good but came out lukewarm and didn't include any sides. The steak and chicken plates were filling and flavorful, but again, not served hot. The short rib was the "standout" if I could call it that...it was actually served hot and tasted pretty good. Overall, the food has potential, but between the worn-down seating, inconsistent temperatures, and limited availability of advertised dishes, this location could definitely use some improvement. read more

With the finish line right outside at Santa Monica Blvd, this was one of my favorite places to get something to eat after running the Los Angeles Marathon! It's pretty easy to find. It's at the southwest side of the Atrium on the second floor right across from the Shake Shack. You can pre-order your meal on their mobile app to cut down on the wait time. My go-to post race meal is their grilled steak plate with baby arugula and seasonal vegetables. They have decent amount of inside dining space, but can fill up really quickly during peak meal times. Outside dining can be a bit of hit or miss depending on the weather. It can actually get too nice where the sunlight is burning your skin! read more

With many corporate offices near this location, you need to be willing to wait a long time to get your food or you need to order ahead. This place gets very busy and the workers are obviously overwhelmed. The staff is nice just very busy. I submitted an online order and it was ready 15mins after the stated time. Additionally, they were trying to pass off a side dish as a meal and I had to pull out my receipt and carefully explain why that was incorrect and they did not give me a sandwich I paid for. The food was okay. Typical LA lunch spot--overpriced salad and sandwiches, nothing special or unique flavorings. While waiting for my order, I heard a guy explain how he had been waiting for over an hour for his single sandwich...so make sure you plan ahead if you choose to stop here for lunch! I'm not sure I would recommend eating there at the restaurant as it was very busy and loud. It was a bit stressful and chaotic but whatever suits you! I got the steak plate and it was awful. The french fries had been deep-fried at least five times I've never had french fries that were so oily. My body still aches from all of the fat that was used in frying the french fries. And the steak was too salty and so I returned it and then it came back with too much pepper. The vegetables were dried out and not hot enough. They just didn't have any flavor to them at all. I should've asked for my money back But the help was amazing. The Happy Vegan has always been a go to menu item for me so I was delighted to order the Happier Vegan. The falafel is so delectable and I like how it's baked. It's not crispy but still has a great texture and is a healthier option. The hummus and cilantro sauce were both fabulous as well as all of the salads that came with it. The service was prompt and friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. The ambiance was also nice and the seating is cozy and comfortable. Also love how clean the restaurant is. The good: I came today during the LA marathon so I wanted a place that wasn't crowded. This place was quick and I didn't have a line. I tried a Cobb salad, plate with two sides and a pineapple Agua Fresca. For the plate I got peppered chicken and a side of wedge potatoes and macaroni and cheese. I liked how the cheese used in the mac and cheese was white. The chicken was pretty tender. The salad was flavorful. Both plates came with a slice of seasoned and toasty bread. The agua Fresca was great because it was light and not too sweet like most places make it. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating and are located on the second floor of the outdoor mall. The menu has options for bowls as well. You order at a counter and get a number to put on your table. They bring the food out for you and they came by the tables to offer drink refills. The bad: The macaroni was a bit over cooked. My husband would've preferred less dressing in the salad. The chicken pieces in the plate were random because some were end pieces with lots of pepper and some were middle pieces with no pepper at all. Definitely love how attentive and nice the workers are. They always greet with a nice tone and always make sure you have everything you need. Definitely love coming here. Tender Green is great- it's kind of like Urban Plates if you've been there. Plenty of fresh proteins to choose from like grilled steak, salt and pepper chicken, chipotle chicken, fried chicken, salmon etc. and plenty of vegetable and salad options. Personally I stick to their plates. That's probably the best value and what they are known for.Their mashed potatoes are butter heaven. I'm also a fan of their chicken soup. More recently I tried the fried chicken sandwich and everything about it was amazing except for the bread- the bread was brick hard and did not compliment the rest of the ingredients.
