This place definitely looks very unassuming but it's a real delightful food. This is place has large portions so the plates are a little step in price but you get a good amount. I don't love that they don't automatically give you pita and hummus with your order. The food is again fantastic and I would come back for that but it's been some time since I have gone because our service was so bad. The server just kept forgetting my drink and then tried to charge me for it. It was just hard to flag him down and while it didn't affect my overall meal it was a little annoying. It's still worth a stop so if you're at the mall and want something fresh this is a great place for that. read more

The food is always Delicious! However, the service has been exceptionally slow. Slow to the point where we wait up to 15 min for our server to come greet us at the table and take our drink orders and you can only Imagine how long it takes to actually get our food. BEWARE! I ordered a steak kabobs and was asked if I wanted it rare, medium, or well done. I selected medium. Two pieces on the end were cooked through, no pink. The next pieces were raw (like jelly) inside, not even rare. The last piece on the end of the kabobs was cooked through, but tasted really off, like it was bad meat, so I didn't take another bite. However, I had no ill effects. On the other hand, my friend ordered the chicken kabobs, said it was fine, but got horribly sick later, and stated that it was the only thing he had eaten all day. Given there were a good number of people, I would guess they turn over inventory quickly enough, so my guess is that the food is not properly stored, leading to bacterial growth which can make people sick. Needless to say, I will never step foot in this place again. read more

Awesome service, came in with a party of 10, that turned out to be 16. Server was great, kept everyone happy, served food within a great time frame. Everything here takes forever! The service takes forever, and since I've been coming here not a single server has ever been quick with getting even a side of anything. This place is beautifully decorated and is sucha hidden gem. The food portions are HUGE.. none of my party could finish these platters. It is also extremely delicious and beautifully made. I placed an order for pickup today which wasn't that bad of a wait time when picking up, unlike Sunday's that it takes and hour to pick up your food. I had previously ordered the Salmon and it was very good. Today I placed an order for a chicken wrap, lentil soup and falafel. The wrap wasn't good at all, the lentil soup was ok very bland, the falafel looked like leftovers someone left behind and they packed it up for me. Just because this place is located in a mall, don't let it fool you. They have indoor and open dining and are allowing indoor dining at this time. Service was great, fast and friendly. I ordered a small plate of felafels (3 pieces for $2.99) and they were a little over fried and crumbly, not my cup of tea, to be honest. But the rest of the food was great. We ordered the chicken kebob plate and the chicken and beef kebob combo plate (not on the menu, you have to ask for it). Meat was cooked perfectly, not overly Salty or dry. Horrendous service. We were a party of two, was initially quoted a 5-10min wait since it was a little busy so we waited. 20 minutes goes by and we ask the hostess if we were ever going to get seated since we received no text. The hostess then seated us. Another 5 or so minutes passes by and one of the waitresses says she'll be right with us. No problem. At the 10 minute marker (no service, no drinks, no nothing), the table besides use (party of 5) gets seated. And I kid you not, in less than 2 minutes they were greeted by a server asking for their drinks. We decided to walk out then and there. Either the establishment does not have the appropriate amount staff to handle the influx of customers or the staff is not properly trained to handle such duress. (Why are people being seated if those already sat can't be greeted in a timely manner?) Just appalling. Also, shame on the staff for not helping each other out in these moments where one of their own clearly needs help. I suppose the only way to manage to eat here is if you visit during a slow weekday. Panini Kabob Grill is one of our favorites for kabobs and we always go to the one in Orange County and love it. As always, the food was great (chicken was so tender and juicy) BUT the service at this location really left a lot to be desired. We came in on a Saturday early lunch time and we were one of the first people to be seated (while it wasn't crowded it did start to get a little busier as we left so lunch time is definitely a time to be expecting customers). It seems they were short staffed so we tried to be understanding but again there was really only us and one other table at the time we came in. Food took almost 25+ minutes to come out. The woman who took our order was VERY SWEET but the woman who brought our order out (tall blonde woman) brought out what looked to be our plates and walked towards another table in the corner. We didn't say anything but because we were the only ones in the restaurant with a table for two (the other party was a family) she came up to us and asked us kind of accusingly if we had moved tables, which we hadn't! We totally understand a mistake like maybe the original server rang up the wrong table and there was some confusion. But for this server to come up to us like that just left a poor taste in my mouth. She could have just as easily confirmed with her coworker instead of trying to be rude about asking us if we moved (WHICH AGAIN, WE HADN'T...) Later on I asked the same blonde woman for our check and she left us waiting for another 15 minutes and definitely forgot about it so I had to ask the other lady who was working, who again was very kind. WHY HERE? We had driven to Riverside to attend a concert at the Fox Theater on September 10, 2021 and this restaurant was recommended by a dear friend, who really enjoyed what they have to offer. THE APPROACH: I heeded his advice, swung by and the host, Angela, got us seated right away outside. The temperature was lovely, the seating was comfy enough, so I though, What's not to like about this place? Later, when leaving, she wished us well and said that she knew of the band we were going to see (SQUEEZE), which made us smile. SERVICE: Our waiter was Johann and let me tell you, you really couldn't have had a better experience than we did unless your meal was free. Angela had briefed Johann and he kept everything going so we could keep to our schedule. First off, I told him of a few allergies and what type meats I ate and he basically ordered for me. On the way out he knew we had driven a good distance and we were headed to a show, so he gave us 2 waters to go... and told us to enjoy the concert... ever so thoughtful. WILL RECOMMEND/RETURN: The five stars would stand if I was solely rating Johann's service. He was polite, professional and really on top of his game. I will vow this now... on my return to Riverside, which happens a few times a year, this establishment will see me become a "repeat offender" here. THE FOOD: It was prepared and brought out promptly, with the chicken kebobs being a much larger offering than I expected... and they were so delicious that my mouth is watering now as I type this. The rice I ordered was the brown rice and also had salad with basalmic dressing. Amazing in every aspect. PARKING: It is located in a mall, so no issue shouod arise unless you show up on Black Friday or similar. RESTROOMS: We didn't use them. END GAME: Today we are in Long Beach and it seems there is another one of these restaurants here... hmmm... we live nearby and never knew/never been.
