Tequeños

I found this place online when we came to visit Tampa and boy I'm glad I did...!!!!! Delicious food and great services.. a good representation of Venezuelan food, the carne de res soup is amazing!! The tequeños, Venezuelan Empanadas, Arepas and El Pabellon were all on point but the surprise was when we realized they have Golfeados and let me tell you they are like the Golfeados y remember from my childhood soooooooo delicious and soft very fresh!! This place is a must try for sure !!

I was looking for a place to grab a coffee and this Venezuelan bakery showed up. I think I was here before I didn't like the empanadas for some reason however this time the service was super friendly and everything looked amazing. I got a café con leche, which was really good and a cachito de jamón. I'm Venezuelan, and I have to say it tasted just like the ones back home! Overall, I really liked it. The place looks fine nothing fancy and will definitely be back to try more.

Panitas is a piece of Venezuela. Inside, everything is in Spanish. The bakery displays & menu boards tempted me to want to try everything. The waitress was kind & humored my English. I ordered a shredded beef empanada, a shredded chicken empanada, & a guanabana drink. The empanadas were piping hot & full of deliciousness. The meats were seasoned subtly with a couple of spices & couldn't have tasted better. My guanabana drink was made from a tropical fruit called soursop. It tasted like oranges, strawberries, & citric acid, lol. I am greatly looking to return soon & try their arepas & breakfast plates.

I've always driven past Panitas and wanted to try this place. We walked here for lunch after pickleball today. We were seated right away and given menus to order from, everything sounds delicious here, it was really hard for us to choose what we wanted to try. For our entrees, we tried their yucca fries and two Cachapa Pernil y Queso. We loved what we ordered, they were made fresh and so delicious. The cachapa is a corn pancake stuffed with cheese, onion, and pulled pork. It was sooo good. I've never had something like it. The yucca fries were delicious and came with two dipping sauces. Our friends tried two of their Arepas and loved them. We were eyeing their desserts the entire time we ate our lunch and knew we had to try some. We tried their Cuatro Leche cake which was recommended by our waitress, it was delicious. We also tried a dessert that was flan on top of cake, so good. The decor is simple, you can tell their priority is good food. It has ample seating and parking for customers. The food did take a little bit of time to come out but it was worth the wait. All the food here was so unique and flavorful. You can tell they really care about their food. The wait staff was super friendly, and everything was made to order and fresh. Panitas is a hidden gem and we WILL be back to try everything else on their menu.

The food was really good. I felt like I was back at Venezuela with both the food and the music. The serves were both kind and polite.

I am hoping that my feedback can help this business to become a better restaurant. I begin saying that I am Venezuelan, I know this type of food well. We ordered a chicken soup, beef soup, a cachito and a cachapa with guayanese cheese. For the soup I suggest using fresh vegetables, the corn in the soup tasted like it had been frozen, like the bags of frozen vegetables that you can find in a Latin market. The cachapa had a lot of butter that didn't taste good, the consistency was very cakey, and it was far from the original cachapa dish. The cheese helped it. The cachito was dry. We left this restaurant disappointed and sad at the same time, we want to support our local Venezuelan entrepreneurs that take the initiative to open a place like this, but I can't recommend it. I hope others have a better experience.

Very authentic Venezuelan bakery. I had an empanada and a tequeño but the star of the show was the passion fruit juice. The juice seems to be homemade and is so delicious. The server was really kind and there was a good selection of pastries and desserts! Don't forget to try the hot sauce too.

Local Hanley Rd

Ya'all- don't sleep on this place it is the bomb! I am literally shook that it does not have five stars. My husband, son and I just left this sweet little cafe. The cafe con leche was delicioussss! I had the criollo de pollo and it was such a large portion, I shared with my boys. It was delicious, hot, fresh and perfect! My husband and son had the arepa pabellón and it was literally mouth watering. The service was fabulous and we will 100 percent return for pastries another day. This is indeed a hidden gem- perfect!

This was such a find! Hole in the wall type of place. Super authentic and pretty busy. The service was good and mostly spoke Spanish. The food was amazing!! I ordered the egg sandwich and the criollo de carne. The tequeño wasn't as good but I'd let it slide for the freshly squeezed juices.

I usually go for a mix of flavors and it's always fresh and flavorful without being overly sweet. The rose-shaped gelato is cute, but honestly it's the taste that keeps me coming back. Price is a bit on the higher side, but worth it for a treat. The staff is always nice and patient even when there's a line. Parking can be a little annoying depending on the time, but I've usually managed fine. Definitely one of my favorite dessert spots in Tampa.

Even better is that they have chocolate hazelnut, and I'm always on the lookout for anything hazelnut, which seems to be something of rarity outside of Europe. Suffice to say, Amorino's gelato did not disappoint! Smooth, creamy, refreshing, with that distinct hazelnut flavor mixed with the bold complex taste of their coffee gelato (i got two flavors in one cup). The girls behind the counter were very nice and helpful and managed to swipe my card since I'm not able to pay via app??!! (you have to order and pay via kiosk) and it was overall not a problem. They have cute little outside tables that are shaded to give you more of that European sidewalk cafe feel. My ONE regret was getting a cup that was maybe a tad too small. I can't remember if I can size up, if so, I'm getting a bigger cup.

It's a cute little coffee shop with minimal seating , a couple photo op booths and I saw some pastry items. ordered two drinks, one for me and one for my daughter. I had a lavender vanilla latte with coconut milk. The flavor was gentle, but I had a hard time pinpointing the lavender and vanilla compared to a similar drink I've had at Disney, which was delicious more smooth and memorable. This one leaned a bit flat for me. It also wasn't quite sweet enough, so I asked for additional sweetener (they handed me a cup of syrup), and I just added to taste ...but even then it didn't fully hit the spot. My daughter ordered the banana split smoothie, which is supposed to include strawberry, banana, blueberry, and chocolate. I specifically asked ahead of time whether it used real fruit because I wanted to avoid the added sugars and I was told it was made with frozen fruit which I appreciated since so many places rely on flavored powders. I also requested light chocolate and no added sugar. Unfortunately, the smoothie still came out much sweeter than expected. My daughter took one sip and didn't want the rest, and I couldn't finish it either. For about $15 for two drinks, it just didn't feel like a great value this time. I wouldn't say the drinks were bad...just not what we were hoping for, especially given the customization requests. I'm not sure I would come back based on this visit, but I do appreciate trying something different and can see how others might enjoy these drinks more than we did.
