Absolutely incredible place!! Jose was very friendly and helpful. Small dining area but cozy and fun. We had a bunch of dumplings, and they were all fantastic. The Kimchi and Merry Me Chicken were the favorites, but the beef stew dumpling was also amazing. The apple cheesecake dumplings for dessert were also delicious. I'm so sorry to the owners for this review but I have to be honest. I don't usually leave yelp reviews, but this is probably the nastiest food that I've had in a really long time. I am a dim sum connoisseur. I've eaten dim sum all over the US and this is probably the worst that I've ever had. There was literally no flavor on the dim sum whatsoever. The flavor came from the chili oil and the soy sauce. There was no flavor in the pork. If you're used to really good dim sum like West Coast dim sum you will be extremely disappointed going to this restaurant. 4 dumplings were $10 and they weren't even full-size dim sum dumplings. The customer service was cool. Although two people came in after me and got their food before me. When I asked where my dumplings were, the waiter told me that they were just sitting back there. The waiter was really nice though. He was sweet. The cucumber salad was awful as well. It was sitting inside of some red sauce. I mean it had authentic cucumber salad taste kind of, but the sauce was overkill. The thing that probably pissed me off the most was the shrimp spring rolls. There were tiny pieces of 40/60 shrimp inside of these spring rolls. They were the saddest spring rolls I have ever seen in my life, they smelled old. Which made me hesitant to eat them, but I was very hungry. Now I will say their homemade peanut sauce was delicious. I assume that this place is open because of location. I did see a review that said it was the most bland food that someone ever had in their life, but I had a really long workday and I was very hungry. This was the only thing open that I was interested in. This was the biggest waste of $30 I've ever spent. I'm so sorry. The restaurant is decorated really cute. If the food tasted like the restaurant looked then I'd probably be very happy. I honestly wish I would have just gone to sleep I didn't want to ask for a refund because I didn't want to be the unsatisfied black customer. I try to give people grace because I have a culinary career, but this food was unacceptable. Oh, and I'm pretty sure there was a hair in my dim sum. It looked like cat hair. Parking can be difficult depending on when you come here. It's a small place with good vibes and decor. I heard they got an award recently for their Pho. It was good but not my favorite. When an Asian fusion restaurant wins the barbeque burnt ends contest, that caught my attention! Tonight was my first time here. But, it won't be my last. Who would have thought you could mix delicious barbeque with pho....and stuff dumplings with all sorts of American comfort food. It's unique, amazing Asian fusion! Found this place some time ago and saved on my collections. I finally had time to come in and it did NOT disappoint ! We had the dumpling flight, chicken fried l rice, shrimp spring rolls and some pan fried plate (cannot remember). Everything was phenomenal! I love the fact that I was able to try every dumpling! This place was small, cute, clean and they provided games at each table. The gentleman at the front was a great salesman and offered much details about the special cuisines they offered. I will come back! The only issue is that if you love spicy, and you need to drink water I recommend bringing your H2O. They offer bottled and canned drinks only and I understand space is limited, but I drink water like a horse so I will bring my water next time. Small complaint, but it could be my preference and not others. Give this place a whirl though! read more

If I could give more stars, I would. We've been wanting to try Pantry on Magnolia for the longest time. We both had their dumpling flights, and we shared barbacoa bao tacos, soy glazed pork belly bao, and the sweet and spicy Thai style rib bao. We also shared the brisket Okonomoyaki, ube ice cream and banana foster pudding. Everything is made in house. And the owners Jupiter and Natasha were just the loveliest couple. They have multiple areas for seating. You can even sit in the back of the house and watch them cook! My husband and I loved every part of this experience; the conversations with the owners to the food to the ambiance. Highly highly recommend. read more

Jose was great explaining everything to us since it was our first time there. We got the carnivore fried rice, a flight bao buns, and a cinnamon roll with candied bacon. Ended up with lots of carnivore fried rice leftovers. Everything was great and we will definitely be back. Of course following them on Instagram since we were informed the menu does change. Plus there was a crazy bur delicious dumpling flight of elote corn, mashed potatoes, black garlic (my favorite), kimchi with glass noodles and Japanese beef stew. The flight rotates so you need to check their social for seasonal menu updates. Seating is cozy - but that's why it's so fun! Watch the food rushed out and checkout what everyone else is enjoying. This place is not to be missed! What they're serving in a dumpling form is insane and it all works. I did the super flight I think it's called to try everything and they were all fire. My favorite had to be the Al Pastor, I'm not exaggerating when I tell you it brought me to tears it was so delicious. Everyone in the shop was wonderful from Jupiter who took my order to the chefs who came to check on me, hell even the young lady who had to make sure the bathroom was in order before she clocked out was awesome. To sum it up, you can taste the attention to detail they pursue in their dishes and the result is magical. I can't wait to return. Great little Gem, heard so much about it so we decided to get a variety of stuff to go. Cute little place some seating outside, some right when you walk in, and what seems to be the kitchen there is actually seating in there as well, super cool! We ordered the Dumpling Flight of 7 different kind of dumplings, my favorite was the smoked briskit (yes super yummy), the black garlic Mushroom, the loaded baked potato! I MEAN WOW!!! We also ordered the fried rice - we added the lemon grass chicken, added kimchi and a fried egg super yummy and a heafty serving! We also ordered the fresh spring roll we added shrimp, they are 2 in order small burrito size, very tasty! And for desert of course, we ordered the bacon chocolate chip cookie Dear God that was so good, the bacon balanced the sweetness of the freshly baked cookie well done - I LOVED IT!!!! the guy that took our order also suggested this Pecan peanut butter chocolate cake fudge something- that was not on the menu but Dear God it was good! I've been on a venture in my review process to try new foods and things out of my comfort box. Dumplings were on my list, so when my spicy companion asked if I wanted to try this place, I reluctantly said, "Let's do it." This review will be based on her opinions as well. First, their located in an old, small building. You can choose to sit in the front and venture to the back where there is more seating, and you get to experience The Show. You can watch them cook and prepare their scrumptious desserts. Now, the food. I went with the shrimp spring rolls and AL Pastor dumplings. My spicy sidekick went with the pork and shitake, black garlic dumplings, and the pork banh mi. I loved the fresh ingredients of the spring rolls and peanut sauce, and the AL pastor was next level. I tried her shitake and black garlic dumplings, but I wasn't a fan(disclaimer: I'm not a mushroom fan), but I tried regardless. She loved the banh mi and said it was the best she's ever had! She said you could taste every flavor in the sandwich. Now, the dessert! We watched her make the banana pudding carmelizing the banana and sugar mixture. If you go that route, you won't be disappointed! The portion size was insane! We went with the lighter option and shared a lemon lavender Haze Bundt cake. Moist, great lemon flavor from the bundt, and the icing was a perfect compliment, and the lavender wasn't overpowering. Tips: The cinnamon rolls take 45 minutes to make, so call ahead, so it's prepped for you if you're dining in. Service was spectacular! Very welcoming of all the questions we had(she could tell I was a dumpling rookie). Their menu is constantly revolving. A couple of the menu items I was targeting (birria dumplings) weren't available. All that means is that we'll have to make another visit. Highly recommend! read more

I wanted this place to be good ever since I heard of a dumpling place coming to downtown! Sadly, this was a let down. As soon as I walked in, I was unsure. I ended up ordering dumpling flight, pork fried rice, and the garlic ribs which were a spur of the moment menu item they said. I should have known when they said the recipe was "from their mother in law" or something of that caliber. The quality of the meat is the only reason the stars are so high. The rice had no flavor except oil and the dumplings were just a bite of confusion for each flavor. Somethings don't belong together like in a steamed and then pain fried dumpling.flavors were awkward, especially the chicken pot pie one. Friends had the pho (multiple requests for garnishes and chili, Sriracha, but the staff didn't know what hoisin sauce was), cookies (thin overcooked, and hard to eat after about 5 minutes), and peach cobbler (friend said it was rotten smelling and tasting). When we leave the restaurant, we found someone else's full fried rice leftovers on top of a trash can, sadly. Staff was incredibly nice though , but kept saying "sorry we're not sure, we're just helping out! " As my friend says, "this place has broke my trust. I don't think there's many good Asian places in Fort worth." Beware of Google replies, they seemed to be coming from fake profiles. read more

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. She was manning the front, seating customers, taking orders and bringing out the food. She was very enthusiastic about the restaurant's vision of being the first dumpling house in Texas. The menu had a modge podge of everything. Dumplings with flavors fused from all sorts of cuisines, Pho, cookies and cinnamon rolls. I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which I was very impressed with! Coffee flavor stood out and mixed with the right amount of condensed milk. We were told that the cinnamon roll would take 30 minutes to bake, as they make everything to order, as well as the Chocolate Chip and Everything in the Pantry cookies. We thought, that's fine. We can relax a little bit before moving on to the next activity. It took an hour for these sweet treats to come out. We watched many tables come and go while we were still waiting for the rolls. This place was exactly what the other review say. The flight dumplings give the the option of trying all flavors. All were good. Pantry beef noodles were fanatic and full of flavor. Boa pork belly tacos were some of the best I've had. The desserts are what their known for, but just my personal opinion I don't like having a ton of drizzle on something that taste great. I feel like having fake stuff put on the good stuff brings the flavor down. I personally wasn't a fan or the brownie. I did like the cookie, but it's something you split between 4-6 people because it is HUGE! When we come back to town we will be back for sure! read more

Their dumpling flight is the best way to try all of their dumplings. Banh mi is made with a torta style bread instead of a baguette, the pork is tender and flavorful I love the cucumber and fresh veggies on it. The dumpling flight had: Loaded baked potato dumpling- my favorite one creamy and flavorful Chicken pot pie dumpling- delicious and unexpected Pork shiitake dumpling- I personally don't like mushrooms but my husband said it was phenomenal Garlic ground beef dumpling- make sure you like a lot of garlic, it's very garlicky Black glarlic mushroom dumpling - well balanced not too garlicky Smoked brisket dumpling- so soft and tender Al pastor dumpling- not our favorite pretty oily The service is amazing and everything is made fresh so don't be in a hurry or order ahead! This review is based on the "best dessert", sold to us by Jose. Service was fantastic. Jose was friendly and sure knew about his products. He sold us on a dumpling sampler and three desserts: Smoked Whiskey Peach Cobbler, Tiramisu, and Tres Leches Cake. Unfortunately, the "best one to get right now", according to him, was the Whiskey Smoked Peach Cobbler and ended up being the WORST. Don't waste your money on this one. My family and I had a small bite of it and it was disgusting. Like having campfire in our mouths. We had to immediately spit it back into a napkin. The tiramisu was the best out of the three but nothing to really write home about. Just a bunch of cream and sugar. Still, better than the other two. The Tres Leches cake was really disappointing. I've eaten a lot of different kinds of Tres Leches cakes in my life, and if this one had been delicious, I would have forgiven the fact that it didn't look or taste like a Tres Leches at all. But the cake itself was very dry. Jose called it a "Sponge Cake", and he was right. It was almost like putting a dishwashing sponge in your mouth. And it wasn't covered in tres leches mixture either, which would have helped with the dryness. The reason why I did not give this one star is because I haven't yet tried the dumplings. So, in the name of fairness, they're not included in this review. Will I go back to this place? Pretty sure I won't. I paid $71 for three sad desserts and some dumplings. Food is amazing! The short rib pho has wagyu beef broth and the meat just melts like butter in your mouth. I had the flight card which has 7 different dumplings. Each was distinct and wonderful. My wife got the Okonomoyaki and just loves it. The banana pudding is massive and to die for. Caramelized banana slices on top which are done with Blackland Distillery brown sugar pecan bourbon whiskey. I had to eat slowly to actually enjoy it and not just gobble it all down. read more

BAO BUNS AND BAHN MI'S IN FORT WORTH?? FINALLY!! Pantry on Magnolia is a cute little shop with a surprising amount of seating for the space. The staff is super helpful and friendly, making sure you know what you're ordering and following up with you frequently to make sure your experience is that much more pleasant. We tried the potato dumplings, chicken bahn mi and brisket fried rice. The dumplings are small but incredible - reminded me of potato pirogi's. The bahn mi looked small for the price but I was very satisfied by the time I took my final bite. The bread doesn't shred the roof of your mouth, like traditional bahn mi's usually do, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The brisket fried rice is the most texan thing i've ever seen lol. It was good but very heavy, my suggestion would be to share this dish with three or four people and order other menu items. Glad to have a place like this in Fort Worth. Keep it up PoM! read more
