I've been ordering here for years. My go to is the fish and chip wrap. Don't knock it until you try it. My other favorite is the calamari wrap although i've tried all their wraps and haven't been disappointed yet. Pizzas are huge and NYC style which I love. Only complaint is I don't like how they put bits of sauce on top of the cheese. I'll just put in a request next time. Post renovations: I do miss the old style. It was unique and fun. There was additional seating and the bar felt cozy. I enjoyed the quirky displays. Had a beachy Julian's feel (if you've been to this place in Prov yknow what I mean). Pleasant employees and liked the simple, random E.T. Decor. Food quality is decent but quantity is not worth the price paid. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but $37 for two average sized wraps and one drink is too high for me to justify returning. read more

Papa Joe's Wrap Shack has some of the best wraps in Bristol. They have delicious and fresh food. I love the different types of wraps and food selections they have, everyone in the family will enjoy something at this restaurant. I have heard the pizza is good, but I have never tried it. The Kung Pao Chicken wrap was also delicious and that is normally my go to wrap. But, I was ready to try something new! The Bristolian was a delicious wrap that had all the crunchiness of fried calamari you can expect. I have been wanting to try this wrap for a while and finally tried it. This wrap did not disappoint at all! The wrap was crunchy with a little spice! This wrap made a perfect lunch. It was hearty and filling but it was worth every bite! read more

They make fantastic fresh wraps and the pizza is one Bristol's best kept secrets! Caesar and Buffalo wraps are the best!

Once homegirl got past the slightly disgraceful and superbly disrespectful name, she gradually became a fan of the "wrap shack". Homegirl actually requests that her driver only refer to this place as the "Wrap Chateau". It's sounds respectful and classy this way. Homegirl has never actually been to the the establishment so she can't say much about the dining experience or as the kids say, the "vibes". She prefers to dine on her ocean side property and cannot imagine if she had to leave her cabana to pick up food like an everyday civilian. Yo girl has gotten either the Kung Pao Chicken wrap or the Southern gravity. Don't be DM'ing yo girl asking questions, this review is all my fans are getting. Homegirl has bills to throw on her credit card and mouths to feed via the microwave. She generally likes these two wraps and also has gotten them in salad form. Homegirls only woe is she is NOT a corn tortilla chip gal, and they come on the side. Homegirl can only have so many carbs in a day. In fact, her full name used to be "Fat Homegirl" before the gastric bypass. And they wasn't calling her Phat...it was Fat. Since yo girl lost the load she is very cautionary. I have been coming here for ages. I bring my kids here regularly for their wraps and pizzas. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The key thing to know is that everything is made to order in a small so it can take a bit longer during the busy times. The wrap names need translations because the names are not obvious as to what's in them. The Bristolian is my favorite (fried calamari wrap), followed by Harley Quinn (steak and rice wrap), and then perhaps the Med (artichoke heart, olives, etc., Mediterranean inspired wrap) is also excellent. The decor has not changed much since it opened more than 10 years ago with funky, eclectic collection of Star Trek, heavy metal, Arnold Schwarzenegger clippings all over the walls. I have been going to Wrap Shack for years. It was always a favorite and it was a guaranteed quick delicious stop. I loved all the ET figures and random posters throughout the establishment. The staff was always busy but friendly and go you your food as quick as possible. However since the recent remodel Wrap Shack has lost its charm. The inside is now plain and uncomfortable. They have gotten away with a great amount of drink choices and the staff now seem more rude than friendly. The wraps have gone downhill as well. I have gotten two different wraps since they reopened and both wraps were dry. The chicken was especially dry. Disappointing because I did really love this place for years. read more

My first time here was on Tuesday for lunch with my Bristol gf. Don't understand how I haven't been here before!! This place is so unbelievably friendly , cool metal music and the guys that work here are awesomely personable ! I had a California gravity wrap without the chicken and nobody minded changing for me.:) this is a wrap gem! I then went again today with my sons gf for another wrap. Convenient location to downtown Bristol, near the water, with plenty of street parking. Tiny location that's just grab and go. Met some employees at Common Pub, they swore by the place. I finally tried it and have to be honest. I never really take someone at there word, nothing personal, just smart and tend to look into things myself. They were absolutely correct. They were good guys and one was there when I picked up my food. He didn't seem to remember me;however, I will attribute that to some strong weed he smelled of that night. Stone cold robbery. They charge $19 for a small philly pizza. While waiting a guy came in who called in his order like myself. The counter girl tells him $34 he instantly asked how much? I laughed which caught his attention. He picked up a to go menu like I did as if to find a discrepancy in the pricing. We struck up a conversation about never paying that amount for a pizza. E.T. would enjoy this place. This is such a cool place. After doing the bike trail I went here to pig out and while I was eating noticed the waitress cutting up the plastic six pack thing before throwing it out. Everyone that lives by the ocean has seen cormorants, egrets and other beautiful birds with plastic wrapped around their beaks, slowly starving to death. Southern gravity is my favorite wrap from here, grilled to perfection. Everyone that I've brought here enjoys their wraps. Seating is minimal but interesting to sit if you can sit either at the counter or the small tables. It's fun reading the clippings and looking at the star trek and alien pictures too. Service is slow and relaxed so if you're just picking up you'll probably be able to sit anyway. Allow extra wait time because they probably won't start you order until you arrive. read more

This place is difficult to rate, because I really don't like most of their wraps, but what I do like, I like A LOT. If you're a health nut and you like bland wraps, this place is probably for you. I've tried quite a few, and even the chicken caesar tasted dry and bland. If you're a foodie like me (or a college kid......or high), you'll probably like their Fluffernutter wrap (PB, Fluff & Banana) or the Mac & Cheese wrap. And either their prices went up or they overcharged us. Often when I've ordered the time frame for pick up has been wrong and I end up waiting outside for quite a while for my food. I wish there was someone at Papa Joe's to give comments to that was in charge. Every time you go you see someone different. Which is not a big deal, but as inconsistent as the help is, the food is as well. I bought what was usually a favorite wrap, the Bristolian, and the paper was soaked through and dripping with grease. I can't imagine the person putting it in there did not know this. It was disgusting. That's the problem with Papa Joe's, you get a favorite and you keep going back, and then it gets screwed up. Unique menu, real food cooked to order. Prices aren't bad. Fast kitchen! Dining area is small and decorated like a teenage boy's bedroom circa 1984. Most people order take out. Me and the kids ordered one pepperoni pie, one cheese pie, and a Rodan wrap. Dude on the phone was polite and friendly. Order was ready on time and the food was hot and excellent. Nobody agrees on pizza. Everyone has their preference. For me, this pizza is perfect. As advertised - thin crust NY style pie. What truly made our evening was the attitude from our guy.
