The food is good and affordable! A casual dining option still offering table service. Portions are large and we have leftovers! They have a kids menu and kids cups and coloring sheets which was great for the little ones we had with us. However, the kids' meals were brought out significantly before the adult meals which left the kiddos a little antsy as the adults rushed the finish. Once upon a time called Pizza Wave, The Wave has been in Bristol for what feels like forever. This place is a fairly dependable choice for food when you just aren't feeling like formal dining, and also don't really want unhealthy takeout, and still want a quick casual sit down meal. It's perfect for this, really. And of course you can get your order to go if you want. Is the food 5-stars, like oh my gosh best I ever had? No, not really. Is the service top notch VIP level? No, not really. Is the atmosphere upscale or posh or romantic? Big nope. BUT, where The Wave shines is the fact that it is another of those "no frills" places with no pressure: casual, quick, friendly, local, and a place that services pretty decent/okay/good food. I tried a burger and it was alright. Honestly, very similar to what you'd make at home. Substantial patty, at least 1/4 lb. Had flavor. The fries were really good. The burger patty itself was obviously from a bought in, pre made patty but it was decent enough quality. All other ingredients seemed fresh. Really, no complaints on the food. To be clear, this is not a place for one of those bougie craft burgers that may have onion fig jam or some kind of artisan cheese. Nope nope nope. Just a regular ole classic cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato. Others on our table tried a lasagna, and a fried seafood entree. The lasagna was massive. Fried seafood looked good. Food at other tables seemed to look fresh and good as well. The Wave has a really diverse assortment of things to pick from, from pizza to burgers and wraps and sandwiches, to Italian food or seafood. They even have a pretty decent selection of soups and salads. They even have desserts and have Gregg's "death by chocolate" cake on the menu, which was SO tempting. So, in the end I think we can add The Wave to our list of "quick bite stops", despite it not making the ranks for any type of fine dining or special occasion dining. read more

They keep changing the menu, and the prices keep going higher than a gourmet restaurant! It's nothing fancy at all! And the portions have squandered down as the prices are killer high. I used to order there just about every week, but threw the menu out as they think being in fancy Bristol they can rape ppls pocket book. I can no longer afford them. I got some chicken and fries, Monterey Jack chicken on the menu, and it was dry, tough, burnt cheese. My friend got the oiliest quesadilla on this side of the Atlantic Ocean, looked like a god damn oil spill Ambience was questionable... the fish on the walls being removed from their natural habitat and forced to watch this monstrosity of a restaurant run directly below this big shark that was staring right at my table like a security camera the whole time violates my constitutional rights The service though... pretty good. The waitress was a very nice lady checking on us frequently and making sure that everything was smooth. Nothing bad for her, I just feel bad that she has to work with these fish on the walls and that she has to hear the food complaints. (Update below) I ordered a tuna melt with grilled onions. I received a turkey sandwich. I returned my tuna melt, and had to wait another 15 minutes. I received a tuna melt this time, but with RAW onions, and was skimped on the fries. i'm annoyed, as I already gave a 20% tip. When placing my order, they said the photos on their website are out of date, so they had to verbally quote prices. There's a nice suggestion box right inside the door. I'm not sure I'll be returning to make such a deposit. UPDATE. I emailed them and received a response and a full refund. Much more than I anticipated as all I was requesting was a refund of my tip and the topping that was incorrect. read more

I thought paying $15 for a salad was pretty steep. Honestly, I read it really fast while working and ordered the southwest salad. Idk why I assumed it would come with chicken as the protein but i rolled with it when I got bacon. The disappointment was how much protein you get. It was barely a crumble. We have ordered take out a few times from here and the food is always delicious. We dined in with some friends and our waiter was great. Funny. Fast. Made recommendations. This my neighborhood favorite place. There specials are great the prime rib is awesome! The waitstaff are locals that are pleasant to chat with. You can bring the kids and they can make there own pizza. Great for friends gathering no rush. It's a definite thumbs up! read more

I like this place as a consistent, sure bet for feeding hungry family and friends. I think place is way under appreciated by the locals. The portions are big. The Friday and Saturday night Prime Rib specials are big hit with hungry family members. The prices are really reasonable for the Queen and Kind cut ribs, including salad and one side. People rave about the ribs at Old Grist Mill Tavern. The ribs there are good, but honestly I like the prime here too for less price. As a local, I don't have to travel additional 30 minutes to get to the Mill when I can come here for my Prime Ribs. The other fares are mostly American and Italian theme. Used to be good in the 2000's Got a steak and cheese calzone in 2022 half of it was like breadsticks with just a slice of cheese in the section or just bread. $20 for like a half calzone half breadsticks thing. The menu is pretty big! They have a variety of options for everyone. When I went I got loaded french fries, we spilt the small. If you aren't getting anything else then you could eat it by yourself. Then, we got the large chicken broccoli pizza with Alfredo sauce. It was amazing, the broccoli was cooked perfect and it wasn't over saucy. It was so big we couldn't even finish it and took it home. Second time getting take out and wanting to support a small business. We ordered 2 things on the menu and still had something missing from my order. Order full belly clams, cost $30 for the plate that literally had about 6 clams and fries. We literally live 5 mins away walking distance and the food was so cold too! Well seen this place driving bye to go see my grandmother so we decided to stop in and try it. Loved the decor even my 2 year old was like wow. The menu seemed great staff seems friendly and very helpful. Here comes the bad food was just awful fish and chips were way over cooked and tasted like it was in dirty oil. I unfortunately went today and I encountered employees that felt they couldn't be bothered to accommodate their customers.... I am recently new to food allergies so I needed to make it known but when I asked what ingredients were in two types of sides, the person didn't know and didn't seem like they wanted to ask the chef what's in what. When I got there to pick up my order, they had it under the wrong name and didn't even want anything to do with me. The alfredo was good my daughter liked it but Fisherman platter is a different story. I'm new to working in the area and ordered for the first time from here today. The sub was good. Huge ... so be careful if you order a large you will have enough food for probably 2 or 3 meals. Fries were crispy. Everything tasted fresh, except for the bread (which tasted kind of stale). Prices were reasonable. The only thing I didn't love was the delivery charge $2.75, which they didn't mention but was on the bill. Not a huge deal. Great variety on the menu. Great place to take the kids. My daughter loves to come here and always orders the "make your own pizza." This really excites my little one that she knows she gets to make her own pizza. The waitress just brings over the dough on a small pizza pan and whatever toppings she wants and goes to town lol. The menu is quite extensive as other yelpers have stated in their reviews. The food is honestly pretty good. Although when I do come here I usually get a cheeseburger club. I've never had a problem with the waitstaff as they are always friendly. Few big screens on the walls to catch whatever game happens to be on. Family oriented restaurant with a pretty cool beach theme inside including the large shark hanging from the ceiling.
