    Meatball and Italian sausage sandwich
    Ray M.

I used to live in Bristol when I attended Roger Williams University, and this pizza spot was a part of my regular restaurant rotations. It didn't hurt that there was a beautiful young girl working there just a few years younger than myself that I was trying to score a date with... Lol! I never dated a girl, but I ate plenty of sandwiches and pizzas there during my quest. I don't live in the town any longer and don't get out that way too often, but I stopped in recently as I was passing through to grab a sandwich. I ordered my old standby Meatball and sausage sandwich that I used to love so much years ago. When I receive my sandwich, it wasn't as good as I remembered it, but I think they have sold this restaurant over the years to new owners who may have changed the recipe a bit. The flavor of the sauce wasn't bad but it was definitely off for what I remember from years ago. The quantity of meatballs and sausage was also less than I remember from years ago. The service was fine and the price wasn't expensive, but I was just kind of disappointed in the sandwich Because of the change in flavor and amount of food I received for my money. I'm not saying that I wouldn't go back there again, but it's not somewhere that I would drive out of my way for unless I was in the neighborhood again. Plenty of parking in the parking lot and easy to find on the main road. Next time I visit there, I'm going to try the pizza to see if it's as good as it was when I was back in college or if they've changed that recipe also. At least the banana flavored soda that I drank to wash down my sandwich was pretty slamming!

    Extra Large cheese pizza
    Krista F.

I've been eating their pizza since grade school. A cheesy, greek-style pizza with a good crust. Their greek salad is A+. The extra large pizza is square, which I love. I always do pickup, and it's always ready when I show up. No mistakes.

Over the last few years I haven't visited as often due to a gluten intolerance, which has been tough when you have a true go-to sandwich spot. I was so excited to learn they now offer gluten free wraps. I've had three over the past few months and each one has been delicious. Fresh, flavorful and just as satisfying as I remember. It honestly means so much to be able to enjoy my old standby again without worrying about it. I was also just told I can order my favorite as a bowl, which I'll definitely be trying next time. They are always moving and grooving behind the counter, but still manage to be polite and friendly every single time. It's clear they take pride in what they do. I'm excited to see what's next for them, especially the Detroit style pizza. Bristol is lucky to have a place like Ricotti's.

He was not there today and the other manager - who rides a scooter - was behind the counter said oh no that's not what we charge. I've been coming to this Riccottis since my son was born and he's now 51 years old. It was embarrassing.

Well Basil & Bunny is an amazing suprise for lunch today as they hit the mark!!! Shared parking lot with ample parking. There is both inside and outside seating options here. Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.

The corn puree was not overly smoky but full of flavor, and the bacon added the flavor only bacon can. Best of all, this huge dish was $26. This shop has a great location, right in the center of downtown. The bagels were very yummy. I had a salmon, cream cheese, tomato, and capers sandwich. My spouse had a pepper turkey, cheese, and some other things sandwich. The kids had poppy seed bagels, toasted with butter. Everyone was happy! Some of us had brought water bottles with us, and others had drinks from the chiller case. You order at the register, give your name, and then they call it out from the counter to the right when it's ready. Very easy! Warm and welcoming staff! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. My one qualm with the bagels is that they use corn meal on their peels/board/sheets. Corn meal acts as ball bearings to slide dough more easily, but corn meal also burns easily! So, although my sesame bagel had the a great chew, it had a ring of burn on the bottom. I'd love for Bristol Bagel Works to try switching to semolina flour -- still great for the sliding, but it won't burn until a higher temperature!
