The restaurant is open and bright with tall windows along the front and sides. A very nice change from the cloned box chain restaurant buildings these days. They have a drive thru and dine in with lots of booths surrounding the perimeter of the inside and some tables in the center. They also have a small outdoor seating area. It's not covered though so it will be a seasonal option. The inside has a large counter that looks like it could be a bar area but it was empty and looked unfinished. We ordered at the counter where a friendly cashier helped us decide on what sauces to choose. Since it was our first time here we wanted to try a variety of items. I ordered three sliders and my husband got a tender combo. Our food came out really quickly and it was super hot. The fries were seasoned well too. No one likes unseasoned fries. One of the first things we noticed was how small the tenders were. I would have expected a larger tender for the price honestly. The flavor was delicious and we loved the different sauces they had. The spicy peach sauce was one of my favorites as well as the honey mustard. The pretzel bites we got as a side were ok. I'd probably skip them next time though. Overall we had a great experience at Ray Rays. I'd go there again for sure. Next time I'll have to try one of their sandwiches or bowls I think.

Not only are the portions beyond generous, but the food is DELICIOUS. There are not many chicken sandwiches out there that can rival chick-fil-a, but.... I might have to put Ray Ray's on top. As someone who usually hates crinkle cut fries, they are done right here. Seasoned to perfection and crisp on the edges! Also, so many fries included that I couldn't even finish them all in one sitting. The chicken itself is so juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. They also have fresh lemonade and orangeade, and yes, it's actually fresh. The lemon flavor packed a punch but in the best way. The steak was sparse and nowhere near the amount of cheese shown in the photos. The portion of fries was also small. The tomatoes were not ripe and not very seasoned. The fries were beer battered and not crinkled as shown in the photos. I would have preferred the crinkle fries as I am not a fan of beer battered fries. On this cool, rainy day, I decided that a short drive here made a great deal of sense! I settled on…read morethe Beef Brisket Platter ($13.95 for 6 ounces of brisket) with sides of Brisket Chili and Collards, and for $3.55 I added 3 ounces of Smoked Sausage! I chose their original sauce, by far the best selection for the brisket. As usual the to go order was out quickly, just over 10 minutes, and I was on my way, with my meal securely packaged. These folks do a great job filling your order quickly and accurately, and for a reasonable price - things that used to be so common at restaurants stretching from hot dog joints to steak houses - pretty rare these days! This was the typical excellent meal from Honky Tonk - the brisket was very nice, made very special by their original BBQ sauce; the Brisket Chili had its own full smoky taste, with beans included, but apparently no onions; and the collards are good but not great - more sweetness than I care for, no sign of meat onions, or cabbage. I drain the liquid that comes with the collard and add a healthy doses of red wine vinegar and Texas Pete. The sausage included cheddar and jalapeños, and packed a nice spice level. This would be nice served a full length on a hot dog bun with a stout mustard. This Tue and Wed promise to be rather cool, will consider another visit for the Brunswick Stew, more good stuff!
