we ordered a pizza Christmas eve at 6 pm. got a text that our order was received at 6:05pm. and it would be read around 7. I went back to app at 6:55 to see where the pizza was coming and it said our order was canceled. called the douglasville store on Hyw. 5 and no answer for 40 minutes. the email said it charged our card. it said we would have to take it up with card company. I have been calling every day since and no one answers. This is unsatisfactory. We had to use DOMINO'S. We normally use Papa John's but this has definitely changed our outlook. we were use to getting wrong items on our pizza and wrong items delivered but this tops the cake. read more

Ordered 4 pizzas on the app from this location. Original delivery time was like 35 mins. Time changed 4 different times. The got a called from a Door Dasher asking if we received our order. NO.... Dasher said it showed delivered. Call the store to speak with a manager and was put on hold, after telling them my issue, for 12mins and then was hung up on. This place is a joke. This 5 star review is because of a single person at this establishment. I believe she is the manager and her name is Breanna! I just visited Atlanta to do a photoshoot for some high fashion clothing line, and I had been craving some pizza ever since I first had gotten on the plane to travel to GA. Normally, I avoid Papa John's in my area (Virginia), but I decided to see if it was better in another state. Let me just start off by saying, Breanna was the most welcoming person I have ever encountered in my life. What a sweetheart! Give this girl a raise or promote her to a District Manager! Someone like her needs to be overseeing multiple stores! Sure, it's just ordering pizza, but I felt as if I made a friend by just coming in to fill up my belly and craving! The customer service was so stellar that I actually came back in again the following day to get some more! It takes a lot for me to care enough to leave a review. I had a very bad and unprofessional experience today 5/24/2020. I am reporting the Hwy 5, Douglasville Ga located to BBB. The manager name Renee was very rude when I complained about 1 item within my order. She was arguing with me behind the glass door and told me what I had to order and i had no options!!!!!!!! I did no argue with her, it seem asthough she had a rough night or morning.... I just needed the contact information for the District Manger. Renee, she must not have read or understood the employee handbook or realize as a manager she should not argue with a customer or open the door coming outside while she arguing knowing I am still standing by the door. That situation could have elevated and placed people in danger. It was not healthy or safe during our Covid-19 pandemic to walk out the door as she did out of anger. During a recent trip to the Atlanta area, I had Papa John's for the first time. I'd heard some not-so-good things about the taste of the food previously so I wasn't all that excited to try it. First off, I thought the pizza was good. It wasn't too greasy & was really flavorful. The problem I have with the experience is with everything aside from the food. 1. The prices are high for the product you are receiving. We ordered 2 large pizzas with two 2-liter sodas & it was nearly $40. The soda was $2.50 each! Seriously? 2. The guy who answered the phone when I called to place the order was very rude. My family (native Chicagoans) just chalked it up to "ghetto Atlanta" ...I guess. :-/ If it were on the pizza alone this would probably be a 4-star review but customer service & overall value count for a lot. read more

I have ordered here about three or four times. Three of the four times there has been a problem with delivery. Tonight we decided to order a pizza around 9:30 and the tracker indicated our pizza would be here at 9:55-10:05. Our first call was made to Papa John's at 10:18 which we were told he was about 5 minutes away, waited a couple more minutes still no sign. We called again at 10:33 and asked "did he get lost?" which the guy who answered the phone said he indeed did get lost but was on his way. We saw the pizza delivery guy drive past our house twice after this phone call with the store but the delivery guy never once called to ask us where we were located. This Papa John's must be very poor, they cannot afford to buy cheese to put on the CHEESESTICKS!!!!! They don't care about the product they serve. For the price you pay them for food, they should have cheese. They didn't want to add any cheese, they instead rather lose money, cause since they wouldn't fix the problem, I just got a refund. This isn't the 1st time I have had issues here, so food quality won't change, unless they hire better workers that care. Word of advice, when putting out flyers that you are now hiring, make sure the flyer reads: now hiring non lazy employees that care about their job and customer. This is the second time I have been charged for garlic sauce and never got it. The first time I ordered on line for three Garlic sauce and paid for it never got it. The second time I ordered on the phone from this location I asked for extra garlic sauce and paid for it never got it again. I specifically advise the lady on the phone what happened on my last order and did not want that happen again. She assured me that would never happen. Once again they did not bring my garlic sauce. I called to inform them. They transfer me to the manager name "Zachary" who tells me "that was the drivers fault and the drivers are human".
