Ugh, this was a mistake dinner purchase. We were tired and just wanted a pizza and figured we'd give this a try as it was close to the hotel. I usually don't go to Papa John's and I think the last time I went was back in 2001, it's been that long. Now I remember why I stopped going (aside from the founder and his idiocy). Called the order in for a cheeseburger pizza and they said 10 minutes. I gave my name and we roamed the nearby Acme first before going over to pick it up. Of course, it was not done. A further 15 minute wait followed and then they insisted I was named Britney and we finally said sure just to get the pizza. Tasted pretty meh, to be honest. It was falling apart when you picked it up and didn't taste that great. I woke up later that night feeling pretty sick. Definitely don't recommend anyone try this Papa John's location. read more

They know their customers by name! I am referring to walk-ins not call-aheads! The store Manager, his wife, and the entire staff are so friendly. The store is always clean and the pizza is consistently delicious. They even know your order and additions before you request them! If you order on-line, your pizza comes on-time and quickly! The delivery people are also friendly. They remember you and always engage in a brief conversation. No matter the time of day, day of the week, during inclement weather, or a sporting event, I received quality pizza. I love this location. They are like family! No other Papa John's compares! The pizza was good. How could it not be? Like any chain or assembly line food prep, it's consistently chewy, doughy, junky and tasty. The problem is they are slow, slow, slow! Absolutely took way over an hour to receive my delivery. And their communication (from my experience) is lacking. I don't know if it's their poor command of the English language or forgetting to communicate to one another but the comm department needs a boost. Will do when you need something delivered. I've been a Papa j. Fan for years until they changed management and got my order wrong 3 times is a row! I'd give a business a few chances but they goofed every time. One time, they left the metal oven tray under the flatbread. It was gross and that was the final time. Get it together! read more

Horrible service. Waiting an hour and forty-five minutes for food to be delivered. Called three times. Was told it left five minutes ago after waiting an hour. Then after an hour and half called back still no food. Then an hour and forty-five minutes the food shows up ice cold. How do you not check to see if the food is still hit after an hour and a half? I'm not blaming the driver who just started. I'm blaming the manager and the drivers earlier. I heard them in background when I called talking about how we don't know where the order is. Maybe instead of spending so much money on commercials you should start to invest the money in training your managers. Oh yeah then when the delivery person called the manager Alex his response was sorry we can remake it for you! Why wasn't it remade to begin with. Never again. I'm going back to dominoes!! read more

I recently had 2 deliveries--one of the many promotions was if you spent $15+ by SuperBowl Sunday you get code for free lg 3-top pizza before Easter. If you read my other reviews you'll see I give very detailed comments & use a ratings system. However, because this was delivery & because this isnt "real" pizza I will comment the food portion on a curve because if I were to get this from a privately Italian owned place it would get 1-2 stars. Did both orders online w/o any problems--website is user friendly. 1st time got thin crust, xtra sauce, 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 olive. It was like flat bread which is ok but not my personal choice. Pepperoni virtually tasteless. Crust is brought in but was still pretty tasty. 2nd time got regular crust, xtra sauce, xtra cheese, 1/2 sausage, whole mushromms. The mushrooms were few & far between, the sausage was sausage roll(like when you make patties for breakfast)--it was ok but not real Italian sausage. Crust was very soft so though thick it wasnt overwhelming. Both pies were def given extra sauce(unline Pizza Hut which must have a shortage of it). The thicker pie reminded me a bit of Dominos(which I dont think is terrible). 1st delivery person called me 5-10 mins before req delivery time to advise he was on my block so I was able to meet him as he walked up to my porch. 2nd delivery guy was about 3 mins late & no call. Both were very friendly & in both cases was able to eat 2-3 slices before having to reheat. My guess is I wasn't the first stop because Kenilworth is a 6 min drive but with microwaves that's not important. One thing I didnt like is you pay a $2.50 delivery charge which is not part of the driver's tip. In both cases I gave a $3.00 tip figuring to spend maybe 10 mins max to get from prev stop to me & back that projects to $18.00/hr for his time which I would think is above average. So for two large 3-top pies, 1 order of nuggets(no beverages) with delivery/tip came to $30 which is ok. Food 3.5 Delivery service 4 will round up to 4 based on the other reviewer read more

Ordered for delivery and was surprised how fast they came. They said 35 mins and came in 25! Very friendly driver and he gave me a coupon for next time. I was taken away when the driver asked how I was doing and how my family was! I thought that was so genuine. Great place for fast and friendly service. read more

I've been a loyal customer for years, especially before moving to NJ 5 years ago. I've never had a problem placing my online order until I move to Springfield, NJ. I understand that my townhome was a new development and it took a little time before GPS could even locate it on the map. But it does not excuse the fact that every time I place my online order, I have to call the Kenilworth, NJ location and change my order from carryout to delivery over the phone and get place on a ridiculous hold time and not only that; they refuse to give me the online price. For whatever reason they feel like I'm lying about my order being a totally different price online versus the price they trying to get me to pay to deliver it (which be $10-11 dollars difference). I'm complaining today because this isn't the first time they denied my online price, but the simple fact they can not see my price I was promise to pay versus what they have in their system. Also instead of rushing me off the phone, no one tried to investigate or resolve the issue. After giving this location chance after chance, from delivering my pizza whop sided (cheese hanging off the side), from the delivery driver not having change for a $20 bill, and last but not least countless times the driver asking me to come outside to get my own pizza instead of delivering it at the door. I should have been put a complaint in about this location but I didn't. I've been force to order from your competitor that's able to provide me great customer service with the option of delivery my pizza to my home without calling them. Horrible service. They plainly lied to me about the time pizza will be ready. As if that was not enough, they actually started making the pizza when I went to the store to pick it up. And prior to that they asked me for the payment before working on the dough! Will not go there again. read more
