Papa John's located off Bardstown road on the fern creek portion of the city of Louisville Kentucky. This is the closest papa John's location to my current residence so if I order from the National pizza chain giant This Is the location that brings it to my home. Usually on large food chains I do not review the food but the service. People by now probably have a good idea of what papa John's offers and taste like. I'm indifferent. They aren't bad for a chain but I'm a local pizzeria supporter mainly. But in a pinch papa John's will do This particular location is a bit further out on wait times and delivery times. But they are upfront and pretty accurate on times quoted. I haven't really had any issues of them making errors on our pizza so that's nice. It will come very like warm a lot. Maybe I'm at the tail end of there loop and that accounts for the long wait and mediocre temperatures? Overall, a typical papa John's. Solid pizza and event service. Pricing hit and miss and can be good sometimes if you get the right coupon or deal. read more

This pizza used to be fresh and tasty. It had been years since I had it b/c of the racist founder. Gave it a try again last year and was very disappointed. The Highland location used to be very clean and professional. As soon as I opened doors the place looked really bad. I gave a try anyway. The sauce spilled all over the box, and the chicken was burned, The manager refused to replace it. Got home the pizza was nasty and tasteless. Will never be back, this company is a dump. read more

We ordered two pizzas for carry out tonight and they were done much quicker than I thought they would be done. We get them home and both pizzas are practically raw. They were so doughy that it doesn't even seem like they cooked long enough to be heated through. Both pizzas had to be put in the oven to bake in order for them to even be edible. Good pizza joint with friendly service and good staff. I would recommend this place to all. I usually get large two topping pizza with pepperoni and sausage. My family are always satisfied with this place and we will return. I do like the pizza at Papa John's I like the garlic butter that they give you with it to dip in it. I went to this Papa Johns location today for carrying. They were pretty quick and the food there is pretty good. Atmosphere: Walking in to this location it was pretty clean and smelled good. They are rated a GREEN A 99% Customer Service The only issue I had was that I asked fir extra marinara sauce on my pizza like I usually do at this location and once the employee showed me what the pizza looked liked. I informed her that it was extra sauce like I specifically requested. She then said "Yes it is". Knowing me I said "No it's not, I order here a ton of times and I know the difference between extra sauce and lazy sauce" So I paid my amount and didn't feel like waiting or telling them to make me anyone. The fact that we were going back and fourth over this was insane. All though the food is good her alone trying to argue with me makes this place get a 2. Overview: pizza is overpriced, always do a combo from the specials page, but good quality and usually not greasy. Delivery time estimate are usually very accurate, but drives never pay attention to special instructions This is our go to pizza place, Pizza Hut and dominos deliver here too, but Pizza Hut can be too greasy, and dominos gives me heart burn. Papa johns pizza is usually not greasy and is pretty yummy. The ingredients are good. I love to put banana peppers on my pizza for a little extra zing. The breadsticks here are good, very soft and the garlic ones are buttery and garlicy. The wings are okay, and the chicken poppers are a good ratio of chicken to breading. I also really like the buffalo chicken pizza! Yum! The sauce is ranch instead of pizza sauce and the pizza is covered with cheese, buffalo sauce, bacon, onion and chicken poppers. Sometimes they can be a bit heavy handed with the buffalo sauce. I have two big complaints. The first is for papa johns in general. There is not a lot of variety in the foods offered. Pizza, wings, breadsticks, desert. That's it. Dominos has all that plus sandwiches and pastas. Pizza Hut has a larger variety of wings, pastas and Quepapas. The point is, anything papa Johns has someone else has too plus more. My second complaint is for this location. The drivers never read my special instructions. I have dogs who bark and go a little crazy when someone knocks or ring the bells. I put in the special delivery instructions that I want them to call my number and not knock, but they never do. I like this Papa Johns location. I've been ordering from there for ten years since 2013. The people who work there are usually nice and the food has always been good. I usually get pizza there about once per week. The last month, 3 of the 4 pizzas I ordered weren't good at all. On two of them the dough wasn't proofed, and on another it was undercooked. Its never been this inconsistent. If I hadn't been ordering there for so long, I would give 1 star. I'm hoping someone sees this and addresses the issue with the dough, how its prepped, and how is cooked. I'm hoping the quality gets back to good. read more

I really wanted to like the new Parmesan garlic crust Alfredo pizza because all of those elements should be ideal together, but it really didn't work for me. Papa John's is definitely my guilty pleasure, pizza is one of those things that you know you shouldn't eat but there comes a day where you simply can't help it. This location has been satisfying my guilty pleasure for over 4 years now and they've never let me down. They're pizzas are always on point and very very flavorful, they're drivers are also always on point. Either delivering on time or just being overly nice and pleasant. This location hasn't failed me yet and I don't expect it to. Last night I had such a craving and once again they've satisfied it. I ordered chicken wings and bacon cheese sticks. Their wings continue to be flavor rich and very easy to eat. Fantastic job! The bacon cheese sticks were also delicious and are fantastic when dipped in ranch. I've generally had a good experience here except one time when I received a box of half eaten chicken poppers. There was like 17 in the box when there was supposed to be 30 and there were crumbs. They have a point system that you can realistically hit rewards for to redeem for free pizzas but you must buy $15 worth of product anyways to go along with your free pizza. The website makes the process of ordering pizza easy. You get on and create your own pizza - I like to create the regular pepperoni and sausage pizza but sometimes I get a little weird with it and put sausage and chicken on the same pizza. I'd recommend the buffalo chicken pizza that has ranch instead of tomato sauce as well as bacon, cheese, and onions. You can place a tip online as well and all you'll need to do is sign for it at the door. If you have a message in the special delivery instructions to leave them though, they almost never read it. read more

I ordered a Pizza at around 12:00 PM and they told me it would be 66 to 76 minutes for delivery, I thought that was way too long but decided to wait. at 1:46 the pizza was still sitting at the store so I called to cancel the order and ask for a refund, Tucker the manager tells me that they haven't even processed the order yet and that when my bank notices that the charge doesn't come through after a while is when the money will be returned to my account. That is a horrible business where I cant even get a pizza in over an hour and the only thing he can tell me is that he won't make sure I get my refund but the bank will catch it eventually when they don't see the actual charge. WTF kind of business is that. This is the Fern creek store and this isn't the first time I have had issues with them. But the other managers really tried to work hard to keep me happy. I ordered a custom Papadilla today and I was pleasantly surprised. My toppings were onion, mushroom, and jalapeno with a side of the spicy garlic dip. Delicious! This Papa John's location went above and beyond for me! When busy, a door dash delivery worker gave me the wrong drink with my pizza. I called Papa John's to ask if I could be refunded for the drink. The manager personally delivered the drink to my house! I would recommend this Papa John's for the quality of food as well as the customer service. read more

This location never ceases to amaze our family. They make the best delivery pizza you can get! They manage to always quickly deliver our food and the staff is usually quite friendly. That part of business, they have mastered. What amazes us is that more than 50% of the time, they either mess up our order, or forget something. We are consistently large tippers due to the price of gas and remembering what it was like for us when we each had two jobs. It's nothing personal at all. We find it amusing and keep a score card on the fridge. We never complain unless they forget something. They currently get something in our order wrong 58% of the time.
