Ordered a pizza while working security at the front desk of an apartment complex, after 10 mins got the notification from the app saying its was on its way, after 45 mins more the pizza was still not delivered so I called the store, the driver stated not one was home so he went back to the store. I told them I was at the front desk looking at the stairs since I made the order and he never made an attempt to deliver it, Im only a couple miles away from the location so it shouldn't of taken that long to get here anyway, she made the pizza free and sent him back out to deliver it again. I have never eaten Papa John's before and I never will again. 1. PIzza stunk. It looked old and not in a sophisticated, older man kind of way but more like leftover pizza from Tuesday. 2. The Papa-dia was a folded over personal pizza which did not remotely resemble the pictures on the website. I ordered the meatball pepperoni one and some kind soul stuck a pepperocini in there and I guess cut it open so the whole personal pizza folded over tasted like pepperocini. The crust was burnt and dried out. The sauce was dry as well because you know, it was a pepperoni personal pizza somebody didn't want from last Tuesday. 3. The two types of chicken wings I ordered were puzzling. The lemon pepper was inedible. Someone was passive aggressive in the kitchen tonight. The chipotle ones were okay but aggressive with the heat. I think someone in the kitchen was having a bad day so they emptied a jar of those peppers over the food, closed the boxes and delivered it. I gave the extra star for the delivery dude. Then I say well maybe it's better if I come and speak with Jordan she says fine then just hangs up in my face. I call back and this time she is in a full rage mood and says she has customers and to come down to the store because they are all there and all waiting for me. Plus it was my fault and that I gave them the wrong address (I did not give them the wrong address. The address was in my Papa John's rewards account, fully correct with Papa John rewards points, which I used towards the order.) I asked if Jordan was there and if he was the GM she says the name of the GM is on the Door and come and looks. This was 100% the store's mistake instead of trying to fix it or giving me the manager's name and the info they resorted to insulating threats, being rude, and hanging up in my face than trying to hide from accountability. Stopped in and ordered their new 6-cheese bacon pizza, and added tomatoes to 1/2. The sauce was super plain, so if you're like me and you aren't a big fan of marinara sauce, this is a good choice for you. I got the regular crust which was nice and bread-like on the edges. The problem was that it was too plain. It probably would have been better if I'd used the garlic dipping sauce, but I don't think pizza should need dipping sauce to be flavorful. The "bacon" was more like cubed ham, and was very sparse. I was not impressed. Also, the tomatoes were big slices instead of being diced, which made it harder to eat. Best thing: the cheese. Lots of cheese, nicely blended and melty-good. The place seemed clean enough, and the staff were busy...noisily cooking, talking, taking orders, and laughing. It's a lively place, and obvious that they don't deal much with customers face-to-face. The young woman who took my order seemed impatient when I asked a couple of questions about the menu (since it was my first time in a Papa John's Pizza). She tried to walk away but I called her back to place my order. Maybe she thought I needed more time to decide? I'm not sure. The waiting area is a hard wooden bench right in front of the door. It's drafty so wear your coat if the weather is cold! I think Papa John's is best suited to telephone or online ordering from home and getting the food delivered. Walking in wasn't a pleasant experience. I agree with the other reviewer that their pizza sizes are deceptive. The "large" size special was the same size as a medium size elsewhere. Pizza isn't an especially good value in town, if you have more than a child's appetite. At most places you can't get away without spending $15-20, or upwards of $30, which is just crazy. For the chains, Papa Johns ranks up there for a few reasons. 1) You can order online. 2) They have roasted garlic as a topping, which might be the best pizza topping ever. 3) They also have artichokes and portobello mushrooms as toppings (although they seem to be very dubious portobellos). Ordered Lg Pizza through Postmates(because I don't live or work near any Papa Johns), Postmates website doesn't really have many options on their app to make adjustments to your order, anyway I wanted a Lg pepperoni, pineapple, and half olives which postmates didn't allow me to change. I placed my order and called Papa Johns right away to request if they can make it the way I wanted it, and the guy who I spoke to stated that he can't make any changes to my order since I ordered it through postmates and that I will need to cancel it and re-order it through their website(so basically what I'm hearing is if you don't pay our delivery fees then your S.O.L), the guy I spoke to was rude, unprofessional, and kept interrupting me. I rarely order pizza from Papa John's, but I gave in today and ordered a small personal pizza after leaving my lunch at home and was not near any other restaurants within walking distance. Online ordering was easy. The pizza arrived within 20 minutes and was piping, almost burn roof of mouth, hot and really quite delicious. Ordering food for delivery of late has been hit and miss when I work in this area, so to see Papa John's very nice delivery person come driving up to the door so soon and also with such friendly service was a real treat, especially when Jimmy John's says they deliver and actually don't. I've been dealing with this Papa John's now for over 3 years. I have to say what makes this place stand out is that I love their website where I can order everything I want in a few short clicks. Not just that but if you google for some promo code love you'll find a lot of it. Every time I order I feel like I'm getting a deal. The guys that deliver are always very proffesional. The pizza's are always exactly as you wanted them and come hot to your door. I ordered two pizzas last night and fed a hungry group of 8. There was one time a delivery took more than the avergae time. I didn't even notice but the manager did. He called the next day, profusely apologized and gave me a free pizza. Thanks dude.
