Worst customer service EVER at a Subway or anywhere. 1130 Monday March 2. Had a coupon for a 6 inch meal deal which was valid and he wouldn't accept it. It was lunch time and he was the only person working. I said the coupon is valid. He said he couldn't honor it. I said ok ill get the meatball as it was the deal of the day. He said he couldn't as he already made my sandwich. WHAT? A customer in line started to get angry at ME. Instead of diffusing the situation he said to me why are you making my life so difficult. He then flipped me off as I was leaving. This employee should be FIRED immediately and I should be apologized to by the owner immediately. read more

The woman with the atrocious face tattoos has the worst customer service I've experienced. I asked her if we got sauces on my last sandwich and she said " you didn't ask" with a rude tone. Then proceeded to make the mans sandwich behind me, then go to the register and I asked about a kids meal which she replied "there's never been a kids meal" or something like that. Then I thought she added the additional items after telling me you have to pay separately, I think she was confused or something. She wasn't talking much and was not able to explain clearly what she was saying. I was under the impression 2 of my sandwiches were a meal. I literally had my credit card in my hand (maybe she doesn't know what that looks like?) and asked if I could just pay for it and she was screaming to get out. I dont know if she was on drugs or something but my parter was also on the phone with me and heard her insane behavior. She lost her store money. Which managers would frown upon. The anger started when she said there has NEVER been a kids meal which is untrue. I worked for subway for years and we always had the fresh fit for kids meal. She could have taken the time to explain that you need to buy the items separately OR JUST added them on and charged me since that's what I asked for. She has face tattoos and a very rude attitude. When you're staying at the hospital for you child's treatment it's really disgusting that people act like this at work. I was never trying to "steal" anything and she knew that. I asked to pay. This location is awful. Apparently the owner refuses to keep the store stocked to "save money" so they constantly run out of everything but meat and cheese and never even have any soda. You have a built-in customer base with OHSU and word gets around...you're not going to save money you're just going to lose more and more customers because we know you don't have shit and we're not going to pay for a sub that has nothing but meat and cheese on it. Visited around 1:30pm Oct 7 2025 , this employee was extremely Transphobic, and treated me in ways that I have never been treated at a subway. Misgendered me multiple times, first time, ok figured was a slip, (the employee she was working with looked over quickly at her after she did it, I think they knew what she was doing, didn't seem to approve, just kept making my sandwich, so no problem with that employee, they treated me with respect at all times) after letting it slide (I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt,) , I proceeded with my order,, basically a cold cut with cheese onion, lots of jalapeño oil vinegar, salt, and pepper. (I leave off all the rest, I just got a lot of jalapeño on it) she puts like eight jalapeño slices on it, I ask for more and she refuses saying this is a strict portion policy, .. which really surprised me because I've been going to Subway since I was eight years old, ordering the same exact sandwich and have NEVER had a problem with it ( even a single time) in the thousands of times I've ordered (in a span of 35+yrs and 40+ states) I mentioned this to her, and she started laying on the Misgender real quick , sir this, sir that. , I called her on it, she kept doing it, essentially arguing it's her right to be a transphobe, so I got my money back and left. As I was leaving she did not refer to anyone else, including males as "sir" it was very clear. She was specifically targeting me because I am trans. (as the person with with me also observe, and others who have had the same experience with her have also observed) On the way out , I did make sure to catch a quick picture of her before leaving since she would not tell me her name or any other way to refer to her if making a complaint. Interestingly, when I mentioned this among a group of friends, other trans people have shared the same experience with her that are trans, and another friend who is disabled also had problems with her (and that friend isn't even trans!) I'll be honest, I'm half tempted to go out there with a bullhorn every day that she is working there, but I figured I would go ahead and try and resolve this another way and hopefully you read these reviews or I am able to reach the owner of this business and see how this is handled. But considering this location is right down the street from OHSU, which does a lot of medical care for trans patients, in a state that has the largest trans community per capita of any state, especially in Portland, this probably isn't a great business decision, nor is an ethical or moral to blatantly dehumanize your customer. I lived in Texas most of my life and even there , never had this experience at Subway. It's not like I was forcing her to refer to me as ma'am, I never even requested anything of the sort, I simply asked that I not be called, sir. But looking at the reviews, it seems this is not the first nor last time customers have/will have problems with this specific employee . read more

As far as sandwiches go, it's the typical Subway which I like. But, what stands out to me is the customer service that you receive from Asia. The last 3 times I have been there her positivity,kindness and her relationship building skills make the experience exceptional. She is who you want representing Subway. Nicest Subway I've ever visited. It's small, but who cares? I always get my sandwich to go. This place is clean, the food looks fresh, and I've always had good service. That being said, I do watch as they add every single topping to my Turkey sub, making sure that they put on extra, extra lettuce and extra, extra vinegar and hot peppers as I requested, encouraging them to put on more when it doesn't meet my requirements. Hey, we all have our unique likes and wants and Subway caters to this, so I make sure mine is prepared to my liking. Yeah not coming back here again.. at least not when the guy listening to music on his blue earbuds is working. I came in at 8pm and he oddly just watched me walk down the ramp. I'm the only one in there and was patiently and quietly waiting when he tells me "You'll have to wait. I have orders ahead of you." The service here is a hit or miss. I've been here twice and ordered the same footlong meatball marinara with the same toppings and have received differing amounts of toppings. There's a girl who works there in the afternoon that seems to get flustered when there are multiple customers ordering. Therefore, she seems to hurry up with putting together the subs, which results in a less filled sandwich. Compare this to the guy who works there in the evenings, didn't buckle under pressure, and took his time to fill the subwith an adequate amount of toppings. I usually add on lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and spinach, which isn't asking a lot at all. Overall, the sub tastes great, but I wish the portioning was standardized so I don't feel like I have to be cognizant of who is working and how much they'll add onto my subs. read more

This is one of the nicer Subway sandwich shops. This one is clean has pretty good management it appears and good customer service. So it's subway, a healthier twist on fast food. They do offer gluten-free options here. This location offers breakfast sandwiches as well as their regular subs, soup, salads, chips, drinks and don't forget the cookies. The guy working (didn't catch his name, but he's shorter dark hair and glasses) is a ROCKSTAR. he was working so efficiently even though Subway was out of a ton of things and other customers were accosting him over it. This location on Bond St. Where there is a large senior population refuses to offer senior discount although, they allow any and other locations to have it. This to me appears to be discrimination towards seniors. The store manager is extremely rude how about senior discount. I have attempted to contact the local franchise office with no success. This Subway offers a similar experience to pretty much any other Subway. I do appreciate that things are always on the fresh side at this location. One recurring theme I've noticed is that some of the staff skimp you on the veggies. If I had a sub full of meat, it wouldn't bother me that much. I placed an online order for lunch. When I showed up there was a sign in the door...On Break Sorry for the Inconvenience 30 minutes. No indication of when the break started or when the staff would return. I sat outside and waited for the staff of 4 employees to return. When all 4 employees returned from a sunny break in the park, I suggested the sign should indicate what time the break began and when the staff would return. The apparent manager (she had the keys) sarcastically brushed me off and the staff entered. The manager, again sarcastically, commented that her staff needed a break. I asked "all 4 at one time"? I really like this location, near my apartment and they are always kind with great service. I highly recommend this location. This Subway used to be great, but something tells me there are internal issues that are contributing to the high turnover rate. The staff is friendly, upbeat and they really try their best, but there are several areas of opportunity for improvement. I work nearby and the lunch hour is always busy and they are usually understaffed. They are always out of something (usually lids). And since they have new staff coming in regularly, it isn't the quickest option waiting for a sandwich. Tried this place many many times and walked out every single time. People here go straight from the counter to making sandwiches without washing their hands. I thought that wearing gloves suppose to prevent transmission of diseases. After receiving people's money, they grab gloves (touching the outside which will be in contact with the sandwiches) and put them on without washing their hands. To them, gloves should protect their hands from sandwiches. It doesn't work that way. I don't think that eating sandwiches from subway is worth a trip to emergency room for gastrointestinal diseases.
