This is a fun pizza establishment. I like the concept and freshness of everything. They have so many different pizzas and you can always build your own. The options are endless. It's kind of like a subway style set up. Tell them what you want and customize it any way you want. I got a large pizza with half fiesta and half Thai. Both sounded interesting. I can't decide which i liked best, but both were pretty good. We got regular crust. The regular crust is a good thickness not too thick not too thin. I am planning to try the stuffed pizza next time it looks really good! The only issue we had with our pizza was my husband found a piece of glass in his. This was definitely a concern bc that could have been a serious problem. Lucky it was big enough not to swallow and he didn't bite down on it too hard. I spoke with a manager who helped with the situation. I was just concerned there could be more. We were trying to rationalize how this could have happened. I was told there is nothing glass that could have gotten into the ingredient boxes during pizza preparation. We are now assuming it might have come from the food packaging factory? Who knows, I'm just glad nothing bad came of it. It was probably just a freak thing that happened and is highly unlikely to happen ever again. Well I must say - this was one of the worst things I'ved ever ordered anywhere. We tried - for me - the gluten free crust and it was hard, not chewable and tasteless. I also added dairy free cheese - that was fine but the whole pizza was uneatable - I figured well let's dip it in the dipping sauce to maybe make it more able to swallow - they did not give us the dipping sauce I paid for. all around - horrible. Came to buy 10 take and bake pizzas for a work event. Door was locked but they were open. I was running the late and the worker said she needed to clean up the store because the night shift employee left a mess. I expressed I was running behind and needed to grab some pre made cold pizza and go and she said the store didn't even have any made. Had to leave! Here is the issue ordered online placed my order and checking out tip starts at 15 percent. Seemed a little high for what is basically fast food. Thought 10 was fair so I changed the amount and it wouldn't let me check out because my tip was not enough. When did tipping become mandatory? Tip is an appreciation thing not mandatory. We usually visit here once a week. This week was a major disappointment. We order and paid online this time so all we had to do was pick it up so I'm not sure if by doing this and not tipping they made it really "skimpy". Tipping is out of control. We, the customer has to do part of the labor by baking it + we had to add additional toppings to get it up to standard so why they got a tip jar or a place to tip on the receipt. I notice a lot of "fastfood" places putting a tip line on the receipt.This place usually makes a great pie but we usually do not pay in advance. My theory is they see if you tip if you pay in advance and if you don't "skimpy". Probably not a correct theory and I will give them 1 more chance but I'll reserve paying til I pick it up. read more

Showed up at 845pm and the store sign and online shows they are open until 9pm. When we pulled up the employees went straight to the back so we could see there. We love this place for what you see is consistent and good. It's an easy solution when you have kids because honestly going out can be quite the ordeal sometimes. We usually try and coordinate our trips here with a discount night like $10 Tuesday or something like that to make it a little more affordable and because we've been here so often we have the cooking part down pat but if it's your first time it does take a little to get used to and get it just the way you want it. Our typical order is the BBQ chicken or the gourmet Veggie and both are awesome. My wife's actually wants to try and get them to put BBQ sauce on the veggie because she likes their sauce so much. I can't say we are too adventurous here. We've never really gotten into the salads or the cookie dough or all the other stuff they offer but that's more because we usually have all the sides we just need the entree. The staff are usually very nice but young so sometimes you get a disinterested person on the phone, it doesn't seem to effect how they make the pizza so I'm ok with that. It's cheaper then delivery and better then any frozen pizza ever created. It's worth it to us! read more

The price was excellent, the location is good, parking is ample, the ordering process was simple, the store was clean and the employees were nice, 5 stars for that. -4 stars for the pizza, it's really awful. Really, really awful. And I LOVE pizza. I like it so much I will eat frozen pizza (well...some frozen pizzas.) The toppings seemed fresh and the pizza looked good, but the crust tasted like crust from a 1980 era frozen pizza. And I don't mean it tasted similar to the frozen pizzas that you bought in 1980, it tasted like a pizza actually made in 1980 and stored in the freezer since then. I really wanted to like this place, it's cheap and clean and close and the employees are so nice, but it's just the worst pizza. I got the "original crust", possibly THE original crust. I found Papa Murphys when my wife and I were moving into our new home and we needed something to eat as we visited an empty house. I had no idea it was a take n bake place. I just looked up pizza. Imagine my surprise when I went in to collect my order and they gave me an uncooked but beautifully prepared pizza. My wife still laughs about the confused look on my face as I came out of the store. We took the pizza home and fortunately had electricity to cook it in our new oven. It took about 15 mins for the think crust and I have to say it was delicious. This is probably the best home cooked pizza I have ever had. In fact we haven't found anywhere to deliver cooked pizza this good since we moved to Texas. The only downside for me is the price. I know it's not pre-made supermarket pizza so I have to pay a bit more, and it is worth paying more for but for $12 I want my pizza cooked for me. It won't stop me going there though. read more

When it comes to using promo codes or any email deals, beware! This is a franchise so each of the stores are managed differently and there are like random exclusions or stores unaware of certain offers and stuff. TEN DOLLAR TUESDAYS! Get your $10 large on the way home from work and there's dinner! $12 for family size. Quick affordable healthy din din for the fam bam. Typically go there once or twice a month. Great food. A few minor mistakes but nothing too bad. Tonight I just shake my head. Wife called the order in. Clerk recanted the order back to her and off we went. Walked in, not busy at all and paid for pizza. Clerk recanted the order again. Walked to the end of the counter to pick it up and they could not locate the pizza. Only four pizzas waiting to be picked up. Searched around for a few minutes with no success and then remade the pizza. Now understand that the order had been repeated several times by the clerk. I used to really like this place, but ended up coming by almost every week over time. A year ago, I would have given it five stars. I got pretty tired of pizza and hadn't been back for awhile. But I've shopped here a lot and am clearly familiar with the concept. I was feeling pizza needy again, so I checked online and saw they had some new pizzas. I got a BLT in addition to an old standby. I removed them from the oven when the edge of the crust looked right. The BLT on a regular crust was just barely brown. The other on a thin crust was more done. Once cut, I couldn't get the BLT off the baking sheet it comes with. Turned out the bottom had burned almost black and stuck while the edge was barely brown. The other pizza was fine. I don't know now that there wasn't some plastic or something on the bottom. It makes no sense for the bottom to have burned like that. It was well within the recommended baking time too. I could smell something odd before I let it finish, but it wasn't ready when I noticed a burning smell. It wasn't consistent with what I saw. (I assumed something had dropped to the bottom of the oven then.) I just know we're not eating any more of it and I've wasted a fair amount of money on something inedible. It was a weird pizza anyway that I would never order again. Edit: I went back and took a closer look. The problem does NOT appear to be plastic or anything. Maybe the bottom of the dough got oily or greasy? No clue other than it burned and I threw it away. read more

Went last week for a large half pepperoni and half Hawaiian. Customer service outstanding as employee carried pizza to the car for me as I'm in a cane from knee replacement. Super appreciate that. Pizza was just ok. The crust didn't rise like stated on instructions. Taste was alright. Price a bit high considering i had to bake it myself. I've had better from them. Perhaps it was the crust. I like Papa Murphy's since the pizza is really fresh --since I bake it at home. I can pick it up before I pick up my kids on a Friday afternoon, then after they come home, we can have a family night with freshly baked pizza! No worrying about when the delivery will arrive or if the order is correct. Since you bake it at home, this is also nice savings since the pizzas are a bit cheaper than ordering a delivered pizza and there is no sales tax because it is considered a grocery-type food that is prepared at home. This particular location does a few things differently than others, though. First, it does not accept Entertainment book coupons. This is clearly stated on the coupons themselves, but it is important to realize this store, while part of the chain, does not participate in that offer. It also has a staff that can be either great are downright rude. I have had some wonderful staff members be friendly, and work quickly on the order. I have also had visits where the staff couldn't care less that there was a customer. Once I called in an order and, when I arrived at the sated time, was told the pizza was not yet ready. once lady got to work on the first pizza. The other employee got to work - on his cell phone! Yes, right in front of me, on the pizza-making line behind the clear glass, he pulled out a cell phone and proceeded to have a conversation with someone. I interrupted him and asked about my order. He at first looked upset that I interrupted him, but then he seemed surprised that I had not been assisted. At that point, he went to get my pizza that had already been made. Overall, the food is great (I really like the de-Lite Chicken Mediterranean and my kids love the s'mores dessert pizza) and the prices are good (coupons are also available through their web site and by signing up for their email list), but the staff is either great or not-so-great, so I'm giving Papa Murphy's in Arlington on Bowen 4 stars. read more

I wish there were a zero rating here. Let's just say a frozen box pizza would have tasted better. Baking tray caught on fire although we followed the instructions to the letter. Temp was properly set and the paper-like tray was not touching the sides of the oven. The tray erupted into flames and filled our house with smoke, setting off the fire alarm before the pizza was finished cooking. Beyond the burnt pizza, the second one, which did not burn, was tasteless, crust was not crisp, and generally not a good quality pizza. Manager upon calling to complain simply stated that they had not heard of the baking trays catching on fire before, offered no apology, and stated that if someone else were to call in, that he would report it to the corporate office to inquire with the manufacturer. Again, not much of a service recovery in my mind. So, my conclusion, you are better off with a Digorno's or some other take out place. Stay away from this one. Not a great business model or customer experience. read more

This was my first visit at this store and last visit and the store manager was extremely unprofessional and no personality or people skills or customer service skills....i wasn't sure how it worked.but he never ever asked me if this was my first time their, basically i was left in the dark about the pizza's and different kinds no suggestions as well....he can't even give me the correct change back not sure if he's the owner or manager...but you would think if he's a owner would be more people oriented but i guess not....won't recommend this location and give it zero for professional and i didn't feel valued as a customer at all read more

I love Papa Murphy's! The pizza is always so fresh, and it's so easy and convenient. The employees here are wonderful! They do a great job making the pizzas. They are always fast and efficient, but take care to ensure that the pizzas are beautiful and tasty. They are always engaging and have great conversations with me and my daughter - and she always leaves with a sticker! Four stars because - a husband and wife own this place. I guess they are both managers...the wife is wonderful, handles customers well, and is always very kind. The husband, however, is not very customer conscious. He can be very crass and come off as rude. However, he clearly knows what he is doing behind the scenes because everything that comes out of the store is delicious! I really liked this place! I've been wanting to check this out for awhile, so I was excited when my friend called picking some pizzas up and she invited me over for dinner. The way it works is you go to the shop and pick from the menu or design your own pie. They make it fresh right in front of you on fresh not frozen dough. Then they wrap it up in plastic with directions on how long to cook it. You can bake it in your oven or grill or pizza oven. So my friend got the Cowboy pizza on regular crust and the Chicken Bacon Artichoke deLite on thin crust. She also got a s'mores pizza for dessert. We baked them all in her oven. Well lets start with the savory: I liked them both and couldn't pick a favorite! The toppings tasted fresh and flavorful. The cowboy had pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and black olive with a traditional tomato sauce. The sausage seemed like a good quality with a light fennel flavor which I loved. The pepperoni wasn't greasy. The original crust was crisp yet chewy. Then the thin crust: again the toppings tasted fresh and flavorful. None of the ingredients were overpowering. In addition to the chicken, bacon and artichokes, this one had spinach and a white sauce. Even with a white sauce it wasn't heavy or greasy the way some white pizzas are. I'm not typically a fan of thin crust but this was good. Much better than the other chains. The cheeses on both pizzas were good texture and quality and not overly done. The s'mores pizza had a fluffy doughy crust and was topped with semi sweet chocolate chips, marshmallows and an oats topping. No graham crackers but it was awesome! The combo of chocolate and the crust reminded me of a chocolate croissant, although the texture was nothing like a croissant, hard to explain but it was just really good! So overall I was really pleased with these pizzas. They tasted nothing like baking a frozen pizza in your oven. Again I was pleasantly surprised and will defiantly be back to Papa Murphy's. read more
