I got a call from home to bring home a Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner. I called the Moana Lane store and ordered a Cowboy and told them I would be there in a half hour to pick it up. I arrived in 25 minutes and I was helped immediately. My pizza was ready and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. We've been ordering medium Cowboy Pizzas from this location for years. Tonight , the pizza we brought home LOOKED skimpy and had noticeably less toppings on it than usual. Sure enough, once cooked, it WAS smaller, the dough didn't rise and the edge was flat and crusty. Much less meat, mushrooms and black olives on top too. Very disappointed that they've chosen to ruin a very good pizza in the interest of making big profits amid rising food costs. Bring back your pizza to the way it was!! I have been in the service end of the business and I know when to satisfy a customer, that is not the way. What would it cost him to give a pizza and safe a customer or be a ass and lose a customer? In my neighborhood yet haven't stopped here more than three times in 15 years. I wanted to take pizza to a friend's house after work, but wanted a hot pizza. So I stopped in at the busiest time of night, 5:15pm on $10 Tuesday. I ordered, pizza was prepared, and named called out in about 10 minutes. Now when I got friend's house it was another half hour before we could eat it for it to cook. The crust was nice thin and crispy, plenty of toppings and good flavor. Great value for the price. Often in the busy, hectic-ness of the week, my family and I need a break! Usually I shop on Sunday or Monday for dinner for the entire week and the weekends we eat out...well sometimes I need one more day to not do much ok! In comes Papa Murphy's. I present you with the top five things I like the most about them, and how convenient it makes dinner for us... 1) Take and Bake. I can take this pizza home, and make it a little later. 2) Pizza topping selection isn't bad...their specialty pizzas are really good actually. 3) That thin crust though... 4) The garlicky cheese bread is super addicting! 5) They will make half and half pizzas, with two different sauces!? Not everyone will do that! That last one is a biggie for us because our son whose five and can eat a lot for his age, likes pineapple pizza with red sauce, and my husband and I like the chicken, bacon, artichoke pizza with white sauce. The family size pizza is plenty for us with a few pieces left over. The thin crust is crispy, and the toppings are so good, that the three or us devour almost a whole family size pizza with the cheese bread long gone too! Finally I like that they come on the plate you cook them on which leaves no huge pizza box to have to decide whether or not to shove in your fridge, or plate up leftovers and sit it awkwardly next to the trash until you decide to finally take it out! It's easy, It's good, it feeds everyone, and everyone gets what they want too...you just can't pass that up in my family! P.S: The cheese bread and the pizza cook at different times so I cook the bread first, serve it to my impatient, hungry family, and then turn the oven to the temp for the pizza. With the good dinner option for my family and the friendly service I always encounter, I rate this Papa Murphy's a five. read more

The mixture of all in one thin crust is to die for. I cooked about 12 minutes then took it off the tray for another 2 mins...omg fantastic hit my mouth. I would have given them 5 stars but the price point went up to 16 bucks for this bake your own pizza. Getting a little spendy, but really I can't complain because of all the fresh ingredients! We've been going to Papa Murphy's for years and didn't know about the discount - luckily an observant employee happened to see my husband's ID as he opened his wallet and let us know - great eye, and very nice of him to let us know! I went here last week and I am honestly surprised. I got a gluten free pizza, it comes as a medium and I got the Papa's Favorite. I was super impressed by the cashier, he was perky, patient and offered to bring me out my food. Great customer service and super quick! We finally decided we will not be visiting that location anymore, so we gave this one a try and we were not disappointed! The service was great and quick and the pizzas were fantastic. On our 2nd visit to this location, they did not have any of the Mini Murphs that our 2 kids usually get, so they offered to make us a 2 topping pizza for just $5. What a difference! The South Reno location would never try to make their mistakes right by offering us a discount. When I went in on Wednesday afternoon , I was greeted and they told me that it would be awhile, that they were behind and had several pizzas that they needed to get done. Not a problem , they let me know! I ordered a family size create your own with creamy garlic sauce, sausage , onions, roasted garlic and extra cheese. It freezes well and can easily be reheated. I made a mistake when I paid, I used my bank card instead of my food stamp card. Yes they do accept food stamp cards! When I asked if it would be possible to change what card I paid with he very nicely said that he would try. He voided the bank card and put it on my food stamp card. I've been screwed over for the last time at the west Reno location. We'll never spend a cent there ever again. If your in Reno, visit another location, hopefully it's not the same franchisee. This had been my pizza place go-to until last night. I got off work and called to place an order and was immediately put on hold. It was 5pm so that's totally understandable and expected. I was placed on hold for close to 15 minutes. I kind of assumed they forgot, so I called again. I was placed on hold before I could even say anything. I got to my car and drove to the location (about a 7 minute drive) still on hold. I pulled up in front of the store and saw everyone inside. They were all making pizzas, but there was not a line or anything to prevent them from taking my order. And definitely not enough going on to be placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. I called again from my car and watched them put me on hold and walk away for another 5 minutes. I got out of my car and went inside and asked why I was on hold for so long. There was no apology... just the statement that the wait was 15 minutes for walk-ins. I left, called the South Reno location, and experienced prompt and efficient customer service that this Papa Murphy's really needs to learn from. read more

Now I like pizza as much as the next person, but I also like to save a few bucks. And if that means going and picking up a pizza and baking it myself rather than sitting on my couch waiting for some kid to bring it to me, then that is what I will do. (Though I haven't done it recently, since firing up the oven would be madness in summer.) Papa Murphy's, therefore, is an excellent compromise. You get the whole range of size and topping options (as opposed to the three or four choices in the supermarket freezer), and a significantly lower price than you'd pay at a pizza parlor. Plus, you don't have to strategically plan your delivery so it will arrive at the optimal time - you pick it up, it chills out in your fridge, you bake it when you're ready. I'm very fond of the gourmet vegetarian pizza, because it has yummy things like artichoke hearts and mushrooms all over it, and has a tasty white sauce. The gourmet chicken garlic is really good, too. The last pizza I had from Papa Murphy's was called the Sicilian or something, and that was pretty sucky - nobody liked it much. In general, though, their pizzas are large and fresh, with lots of toppings and good quality ingredients. I've heard complaints about the dopey staff and indifferent customer service, but I've never had a problem at the Moana location. You have to be pretty assertive with your coupons (and of course you are using coupons), or they may forget to enter the discount, but you're not paying for the service, so I set my expectations low anyway. In addition to your pizzas, they offer calzones, cheesy bread, dessert pizza, cookie dough, and even a few salads, if you want to delude yourself into thinking it's a healthy meal. And your pizza is usually ready about ten minutes after you call. For restaurant-quality pizzas at discount prices, I'm all about Papa Murphy's. read more

We have in the past at our Arizona home would pick up one of these pizza's and always enjoyed it. Today I went on line and ordered on to be picked up at 2pm. I arrived they were just finishing up with the pizza and off I went. Friendly folks working today. When it was time to eat I popped it in the oven. It was a thin crust pizza and after a few minutes took the tray out to finish it off on the rack of the oven. It turned out perfectly cooked. We have been going here for the past year and the staff (younger aged) have been pretty good. Our only problem and major complaint is the Manager. She is middle aged with short light brown hair (Normally wears in pony tail). She has been consistently rude to us as well as other customers we see when waiting for our pizzas. She won't Crack a smile if her life depended on it and has no customer service at all. Every time we go in she is there and every time she tells us something different about how we can order our pizza. It's not rocket science so there shouldn't be the inconsistencies we keep having with her. And all about substituting ingredients on the pizza. Bottom line is she is just plain rude! Keeps changing her mind on what can and can't be allowed. The younger employees have more class than her. read more

Every pizza comes with coupons and baking instruction, make sure to hit this location on tuesday to get any large pizza for $10. The staff is always courteous and quick. I have gone in a and waited a few times as well and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my pie.
