This was my first time trying Papa Murphy's pizza, and I was immediately impressed by how clean and tidy the store was when I walked in. The staff, especially the gentleman at the counter, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was fast, with the pizza ready in just 15 minutes. When I got home and baked it, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the pizza tasted--it's honestly better than most of the pizza shops near our house. Papa Murphy's is a take and bake pizza place. the pizza is pre-made in various combos, u take it home and bake it urself. what can go wrong? apparently something can and did. not saying the pizza is bad or .. just saying it's tasted very salty after my 2d piece. the mushrooms were great, the chicken pieces tasted dry, not moist. crust tastes crispy, otherwise ok, maybe overcooked.... fyi, not my kind of pizza, that's all. read more

I ordered the pepperoni and ground sausage pizza. I wanted to like this idea of baking the pizza at home. I may have kept it in the oven too long.The crust was crispy and portion size was great. I didn't like the ground sausage after it was cooked you could barely taste the sausage. I like biting into larger pieces to get the sausage flavor. It was in there about 17 minutes (The instructions say 12-18) because the pizza has almost no tomato sauce flavor. It needed more sauce to give it flavor. It's possible by keeping it in the oven dried out the sauce. It seems like they should have more sauce to reduce the risk of this happening. I think I prefer buying baked pizza so that I don't mess it up. read more

I absolutely love this place! Our favorite is the Chicken Bacon Artichoke without artichoke, and extra spinach. It is soooo good! We recently tried the stuffed pizza, and wow...delicious!!! And it fills up this hungry family of 5 for just $25! It's our favorite pizza place hands down, and we probably frequent this place at least 4x a month. My first time EVER going here and ordering something. I was always so skeptical of Papa Murphys due to all the naysayers and what not. But anyway, decided to give them a go. I got two medium pizzas, one with olives, bells and mixed onions and pineapples. The other was for a friend, they got a meat pizza. I just wanna say the lady who helped me I don't remember her name but she had nice mascara. I was contemplating and Pan pizza or a regular crust pizza. Bc I'm sometimes a crust type of person. I proceeded to go with regular crust. She was very helpful, very patient as I took forever to decide which toppings I wanted lol. Also, they are SO generous with the toppings which is a plus. Took the pizza home and was just hoping it didn't taste like a frozen pizza. I mean why would It? But this was my first time. Luckily, I added the zesty herbs on my pizza which made it seasoned just right! The pizza was delicious, better than frozen pizza (OFC) and just exceeded my expectations. I called to place my order and specifically asked for NO ONIONS on my pizza. The person who took my order repeated the order back to me and she got the order correct, but when I got home, there was 3 different kinds of onions on it!!! I called back right away and she said I could bring the pizza back and make me a new one. I told her I didn't want to come back. I am writing this update after being called repeatedly from the owner requesting I update my review. I don't think I should be reminded weekly that this needs to be done. I had originally told the owner that I would write an update. I am now frustrated that I keep receiving telephone calls. One day I received two within an eight hour time frame. REALLY!!!!!!! So here is your updated review.....please stop calling me!!!!!!!! When I went in a day or two later to bring the foreign object to the owner, the woman who I spoke to previously who stated she was the manager "Lynn" came over to see what I was bringing over. She then said, "Make sure you get that." Come on now. what am I going to do with this? I never wanted anything to come from this incident. I never wanted anything free. It was as a courtesy to let them know this happened. At that time, I found out that the manager Lynn was actually an owner. That is even worse. How can your train your employees to have good customer service when you have none!!!!! I finally went back and used my free pizza card. Ever since then, the phone calls have not stopped. It is not even worth the free pizza. I am even more upset now. Yes this time the pizza was good and foreign object free. But I expect nothing less. We usually get the following: Family size 16" White garlic sauce Italian sausage Black olives Minced garlic Onion mix There's also a check-in offer they have that lets you get any side item FREE ($5 value)! You can choose from the Thick 'n' Cheesy Homebaked Bread, Classic Cheesy Bread, Garden Salad ($2 more), Signature Salads ($2 more), Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cinnamon Wheel, S'mores Dessert Pizza. We've gotten the garlic cheesy bread multiple times and just tried their chicken Caesar salad. Their salad portions are huge! I wish they started serving wings or something like that! I love me some wings man! In addition to their check-in offer, they use stamp cards!! So I think if you get 13 pizzas, you get your next at a discount! Pretty neat. Service is always awesome. That Asian girl who mans the register is quick and super kind. Props to her and her team! Quality pizza for a decent price, if you don't mind baking it yourself (which is still a problem with some folks!). Walking into this Papa Murphy's, the 1st thing I noticed was how clean the place was. I ordered a pizza and waited while they made it on the spot. When I took it home, I followed the included directions to bake it. Less than 30 minutes later, hot pizza was ready! This is a great store. They are efficient, accurate, and I always order from here. Wanted one closer to downtown San Leandro though! Hope they'll get one. Honestly the best chain pizza establishment. Don't be lazy just because you have to pop it in the oven for 20 minutes, it is completely worth it. Every time I call in my pizza is ready when I arrive and they always get my half orders right :). Always quick and nice interactions leaving me excited to get home and fire up the over. Only issue I've had is when I order the Gourmet Vegetarian I notice the bottom of the pizza gets soggy no matter how long I keep it in the oven. Which sucks because it is so good ! Next time I will ask for less sauce to see if that helps, other than that definitely a GO over Dominios or Pizza Hut and they have a HUGE family size pizza option. read more

I had forgotten all about Papa Murphy's. We recently reunited and I couldn't be happier. It is the same feeling when you find some cash in a jacket pocket, SCORE! It was always there waiting to be discovered. Called in a large 4 topping custom stuffed pizza. The pizza was ready and waiting when I arrived. The employees were nice, the place was clean and busy with fellow pizza lovers (which is a good sign). I used a coupon and took advantage of the free side check-in offer through yelp. I choose chocolate chip cookie dough but can't promise the dough will make it onto a sheet pan and into the oven. I followed the detailed instructions and the pizza turned out prefect! It was jam packed with toppings and had lots of fresh cheese oozing out. The herb tomato sauce was delicious. Bottom line Papa Murphy's is affordable, fresh, delicious and convenient. This Papa Murphy's is now our regular Pizza place. I always get the thin crust as it is fairly authentic and doesn't leave you feeling heavy. You can get thicker crusts if you like. The toppings are very good as well. I won't recommend any one in particular because, although I have my favorites, I like them all. I like their monthly large pizza specials for $10. That's a great bargain. However all pizza's are very reasonably priced even if they're not on sale. Service has always been fast and friendly for us. We take the Pizza home, pop it in the oven and 15-20 minutes later you have a good Pizza. As others have said, they support community fundraisers. Kudos to them for that. We haven't tried any of their side orders so no comment there. If you like fairly authentic pizza at a good price and don't mind popping it in the oven, I highly recommend Papa Murphy's. read more

There's even a Yelp coupon for a free side order when you check in for the first time! Pizza's aren't very expensive and taste great. Average cook time in the oven is about 20 minutes - depending on what kind of pizza you order. This place is a step-up from the older Papa Murphys which was just on the opposite side of the same plaza (Greenhouse Marketplace). I'll be ordering pizza from here again. read more

My daughter's school hosts monthly fundraisers every second Tuesday(thanks Greenhouse Papa Murphy's) so we come here to support those efforts. We have stopped in when we're craving a pizza and these take and bake pies are solid. There are a variety of combos. I have yet to try out the deep dish or thin crust artisan options or to customize a pizza. The prizes are decent and the wait time is relatively short. You take your pie, take off the plastic wrap, and voila, warm pizza in 15 minutes. Come here all the time for the stuff crust pizzas and chicken artichoke. Very clean and staff is inviting. Didn't get the concept but all over it now. Place is hit or miss with the crowds but the staff moves fairly quickly to get you through. Try their dessert pizzas they are ready made and ready to go upon completion of your customized pie. The pizza always tastes great from here. The prices are great and turnaround time is fast (as it should be), even when several other customers are in front of me. I am sure that most of these chain Papa Murphy places are the same, but I am sure some aren't that good at times. This is not one of them. The staff is always polite here. I love the service, pizza, freshness and the community outreach of this Papa Murphys. The owner is very open to fundraisers to assist non-profits and schools raise money for their programs. I call in my order, walk in, pay and am out of there in 10 minutes. They have a stamp card for a discount after so many purchases. Oh, BTW, did I mention how DELICIOUS their pizza is? I guess I like the more truly local places. This seems like a very factory oriented setup. I read that they cut their own veggies, but it tastes very.. generic. The crust is just ok. I'll keep looking for a favorite pizza place. It's not horrible, but it's definitely not terrific. read more
