They treated me to breakfast. Got the usual smaller breakfast. She got an omelet with spinach. Service was extremely slow for some reason which is very unusual. Food was good and we were both happy. Haven't seen my sister in a few years because she lives in Southern California. We parted ways..she was headed to Calistoga and I am heading the other way. Good time! Btw..I Had no idea they serve brunch on the weekends!!

This place has it all. You walk in and to your right are 200 plus beers to choose from. On your left is a sit-down restaurant. Further down is a deli counter, a bakery, gelato, and all kinds of local honey, olives, pasta, spices, you name it, and a gift shop. The bathrooms are clean and large enough to accommodate a large amount of people at one time. We decided to taste the gelato while waiting for our car to charge since we already had lunch, but looking at the fact that they make their own sourdough a sandwich would be a great choice for future stops. The gelato is made in house, and I had a lemon which was light and refreshing. My husband had the dark chocolate gelato. He said it didn't have a heavy milk based taste and not really creamy but very chocolaty. The server for the gelato was very friendly and let me taste first. I would stop here again even if I didn't have an EV car to charge.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more I randomly tried this place with a group of 8 during our Clear Lake camping trip. We were super hungry for lunch. Ordered: 1) Garlic Bread: 2/5 -- I didn't like the taste. It tasted like one of those frozen garlic breads you get from Safeway. Huge disappointment, considering I have had many quality garlic breads at other places. 2) Vegetarian Pizza: 2/5 -- We clearly asked for a large pizza, half and half: the first half with all the usual toppings this pizza comes with, and the second half with the olives and mushrooms swapped out for pineapple and garlic, since half of my group didn't want pineapple and garlic on the whole pizza. But when the pizza came, the entire thing had pineapple and garlic on the whole pizza. The toppings were generously portioned, but the pizza had way too much cheese compared to a regular pizza, and I wasn't a fan of the crust either. I have had much better elsewhere. Service was a bit slow, considering we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. We had to explicitly ask for water and utensils. Not happy with the service here. It was an old-school pizza kinda place, pretty casual.

They just do what they do really well, and it shows. The food is consistently good, the portions are solid, and everything actually tastes fresh and made to order. You can tell there's some thought behind the menu instead of it being the same generic stuff you can get anywhere. It's familiar enough that you know you're going to find something you like, but they still manage to make it their own. The service deserves just as much credit. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and makes the place feel comfortable without forcing it. Add in the atmosphere and it's just an easy place to enjoy yourself, whether you're grabbing something quick or actually sitting down for a while. Living around here, you get used to having limited options unless you feel like driving somewhere, so when a local place is actually this good, you want to see it stick around. CB Kitchen is definitely one of those places. Five stars from me. Good food, good service, great atmosphere, and one of the local spots that deserves the support.

Sweet surprise with very tasty simple burger (gluten free hamburger bun available) and great single espresso. Perfect timing on drive between McCloud CA and Greenbrae CA. I look forward to stopping again and telling my friends about it as well. Above and beyond value for the money.
