Food was ok, and if you are planning to eat here don't be surprised on your bill because 20% tip is automatically added when your party is more than 5 and it doesn't say anywhere. And we ased the waiter to turn on the outdoor heater because we sat outside and he kept telling us that the chef will come out and turn it on for us. The chef never came out. I was excited to try this place. Got here on Sunday around 10:30 am. Upon arriving we were immediately told that the kitchen was backed up and they wouldn't be able to order for about 15 minutes but they could seat us right away and could take our drink order. We were really hungry and thirsty but we decided that we would just wait. We sat at the table for 15 minutes without a drink order being taken. Finally, we flagged someone down so we could order a drink. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were able to put our order in. The waitress was really nice and friendly. The place is cute and they have an outside patio dining area. Restroom is located outside and you need a key. You can smell the sewage if you eat outside. The food was just ok. Kind of bland. Pancakes were dry. The only thing that I liked was the salsa. Waited another 15 minutes after we were done to get the check. Most likely wont be back. read more

Went here for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Today being Aug 18th, 2022. We walk in and the place is not too packed for early morning which is nice. The lady says sit anywhere. So, we do I ask her where the bathroom is, and she hands me a key. I look around and said, " Where is the bathroom?" She says very rudely "It's out back!". I said, "Oh sorry I have never been here before!" So, we order. I was ready to leave but, we were hungry, and I had a doctors appt very soon. I got the steak & eggs and hashbrowns. My steak was very good. The hashbrowns were not even cooked as you can see in the picture. My lady had the French toast. She said her's was okay. I don't want to go back. I did have a hard time with the bathroom key and the rude lady helped me get the door open after she did some eyes rolls and obviously upset. Will not be going back. Went for lunch today, and had high hopes, as this place is close to home. They did a nice job with the decor and place is clean. Menu is interesting. Service is friendly and helpful. But the food...a big no. A place called papas and eggs should have good potatoes, right? Nope, they were terrible..I mean like couldn't eat them bad. Both the hash browns and the country potatoes, overcooked, mushy, and way over seasoned. Bleh. Caesar salad was also way overseasoned, with croutons out of a box, and the whole thing was too salty with too much dressing. Also tried the flight of mimosas, which presented well, but lacked freshness (tasted like boxed juices were used). The prices are very high , especially for poor food. Well, let's see.. location is hidden in from the street, tight parking. Seating outside was nice. Inside seating is small. Worst is hearing loud talking inside from kitchen. Need at least a 3in plexi glass to muffle from hearing it. Friendly staff. Prices are very expensive compared to other top restaurants in areas. $3-$4 more which really surprised me. I tried the food, and it was bland. I will try it a few more times to see maybe I didn't give a chance. The place was clean however. read more

This was my first time eating here and my first thought was, "What took me so long?" I had the green chilaquiles with steak and they were delicious. So yummy that I didn't take a picture because I wanted to dig in. There were so many items in the menu that caught my eye and made my tummy growl. Eggs tasted like plastic, chilaquiles tortillas were tasteless. I had an issue with this place. After paying for my to go items, the female cashier (younger with long hair) had me sign on the pad. Before I could choose the tip option and hit accept, she pulled the device away from me and said I was "all set". I thought it was kind of weird but was in a hurry and left. THIS WAS MY FAULT for not finishing the transaction properly. Later I saw that she gave herself an $11 tip. I called and the manager argued with me that it's impossible to change an amount but I kept telling her that I never closed the check and the cashier gave herself the tip. If they have a camera over looking the register they will see this. Manager said all she can do is give me a $15 coupon for my next order but I tried to explain it's not the money it's the unauthorized charge made on my card. read more

It's my first time ordering here to go i walked in. I ordered the torta chilaquiles $17. It comes with fruit on the side. I requested to have a pancake instead of the fruit they said they can't do that. It will be an extra charge for the pancake. My torta biscuit was bigger than my chilaquiles inside. I ordered cafe Americano $4 and my cup was filled half a cup just black coffee. Waitress did not offer any creamer sugar etc. I came home and started to make scramble eggs to add on my torta and fix my coffee to relief my disappointment. For breakfast I'd rather stick with Sandy's Cafe, Longhouse or even black bear diner and get more for my money. read more

My mom and I are big-time breakfast eaters. Our standards are high. We have been here three times now and it has not disappointed. The staff is awesome, the quality of the food is fantastic, and the menu selection is so on par! Any place that serves a cappuccino in a cup and saucer and at breakfast has completely won me over. I can slow down here and enjoy the food, company, and environment. I don't like when music is playing so loudly that I can have a quiet conversation with my company like in some restaurants. It's just lovely. This place took me back to some of my favorite breakfast places in West Los Angeles. Great Job! read more

It's a small place, but the menu has a large selection of options. Benedict's, burritos, omelets. There's something for everyone on the menu. I also have Celiac, so being greeted with the largest gluten free selection of bread based breakfast options I've ever seen on a menu in California was a pleasant surprise. The French Toast was perfect (though as of this review I can't say it's 100% celiac friendly). Makes me wish we had one of these back in South Orange County. read more

I was going in expecting it to be amazing. Maybe too high of expectations, at first glance the food did look amazing. It had a nice presentation. The food was good up until I realized there was a piece of hair. My girlfriend and I lost our appetites. And my michelada didn't either, considering they brought me a half filled cup of Clamato with a Familiar Corona. The lady was nice enough to give us 50% off the check. I didn't want to make it a huge deal but I had to mention the hair. Other than that, it wasn't a bad experience. I will be going again to give it a second shot. read more

The establishment was very clean, And had a very nice vibe inside. The food was pretty good, but I think the prices were a little high for what you would get. $15 for a medium size chorizo burrito. The service wasn't very good. We had to ask for everything. More water, ice for my water, (because the water I just asked for, she just fill from the sink into an empty pitcher), coffee refill, a box for leftovers, and the check. Every time we looked for our waitress she was leaning over the counter face deep in her phone (pretty much everyone in the front was) very unprofessional. Awesome hidden gem, the food was great. I had the chilequiles with the red sauce as well as eggs and steak. The red sauce was nice and Smokey with just the right amount of spice, the steak was nice and tender with a charcoal taste that's was delicious. The beans were good, seasoned nicely and creamy as well. The plate was full of textures from crunchy to creamy which was nice for the pallet. Will be trying this place a little more to give better review especially on the lunch menu but over all awesome food spot, nice and clean and the service matched the decor, bright and attentive. Definitely give it a shot and for those who think it's pricey, it's worth the price I rather pay more for local mom and pop shops/ family owned than big franchises after all they are the ones who care more about the community. This place became my new favorite until recently. They lost a great chef:(. Thirty bucks for an omelette that was a day & night comparison, bacon overcooked, stale toast and the potatoes were nothing like before. Salsa was different as well ... not impressed AND they charged me two bucks for a very small amount. The waiting time was not what I was told to boot. Lastly, they got my order wrong! Overall, terribly disappointed. I could have had better if I were to cook it myself. Do not plan to go back anytime soon. I was so excited and impressed initially, what a bummer !:( read more
