First time eating here and thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes and sourdough bread. My eggs were neither dry, but runny just like how I like them. We stopped in on a Monday midday for a late breakfast/early lunch before some shopping at the nearby outlets. As soon as I saw the mazapán latte I knew I had to try it. For those who may not be familiar, mazapán is a Mexican candy made from ground peanuts and sugar. Kind of like the inside of a Butterfinger but not crunchy. And not like marzipan, which is not something I enjoy. I do love mazapán though so I was all in and the latte was excellent. My SO had the horchata milkshake and it was also delicious. They also offer other flavored latte's (matcha, lavender, hazlenut etc), tea, coffee, soda, etc. We both had chilaquiles verde (also a favorite)... his with grilled chicken and mine with carnitas. Super tasty and just spicy enough. And my SO's daughter is vegetarian so they made her a chipotle sandwich without the chicken but with extra cheese which she liked very much as well. A cute little place with outdoor and indoor seating and very friendly staff. Portions are big. Parking is a little challenging because the lot is small but not terrible. Parking is tight since there's a small parking lot but there's always parking available. The restaurant itself is quite small so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. Love, love, love! Fantastic brunch spot with the ladies. Our waitress was very accommodating with our questions, and quick with bringing out food despite it being a bustling Sunday morning. I ordered a torta chilaquiles with salsa verde, which I ended up splitting with my daughter when I got home. Food quality was excellent, service was prompt and on point. I ordered the Chicken Waffle with berries and Maple along with a Mango Mimosa. Ordering a Chicken & Waffle is tricky because most restaurants can't pull it off. Either it's the wrong cut of chicken, chicken breaded too much or bland, overwhelming amount of waffle to chicken ratio or just not appealing to the eye. None of these issues can be found at Papas & Eggs. The flavor on the chicken was subtle yet reinforced, tasty nonetheless. Flavors on the waffle were delicious. I've heard a lot of hype about this little hidden gem and decided to check it out on the weekend. Holy moly was this place hoppin! The venue and its connecting parking lot were both small in size, but bursting at the seams with eager patrons. I was excited, hoping i'd found a real diamond in the rough. The wait wasn't super long, but if you asked my grumbling stomach at the time, it'd disagree with me. My mom and I were seated inside near the window, which was great--or so I thought... However, there were two big issues here. One, the sun was blaring through the window and there are no blinds or curtains to block the burning sensation you get on your arms and even the table as you are eating. Secondly, the condiment caddy was pressed against the window seal, under full strength of the sun.... So all the condiments were hot... including the jam and coffee creamer--ick! My mom had a breakfast burrito, and I tried the chorizo omelette which were $15 and $18 respectively. With regard to portion-size, quality, and price.... It just didn't add up. While the presentation of the food and the service was great, the food itself left a lot to be desired. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor, and the food temperature was lukewarm at best. Overall, I wasn't impressed. I think my expectations far exceeded the experience I had, and I was ultimately left disappointed. read more

Our second visit here and couldn't be disappointed. Both times the food was good. Both visits are one year apart and so long enough for something to happen. But glad they are consistent and also have a new location in Mountain View. Their red chilaquiles is really spicy and flavorful. You can add an egg for extra taste. The veggie burrito was also good and different from the usual ones . It's filled with potatoes and egg and seasonal vegetables. With their spicy sauce it makes a great combo. Service is fast and great ambience. Next time we are there around brunch time, will surely hit it up. read more

Haven't dined in yet, but drove by and seen that Papas & Eggs replaced the Tacomania on 1st Street. I decided to doordash it this morning and it was OK. It was prepared fairly quickly, hence my order arrived pretty quick. I ordered the French toast with eggs and sausage, bacon Benedict with hash, and a side of grits for my LO. French toast (3/5) - came with butter, but did not come with syrup, which was a huge disappointment.... the sausage was OK. Bacon Benedict (2.5/5) - very salty! The side hash was OK, but the hollandaise sauce and bacon were both super salty. Grits (3/5) - nothing special, it's grits... baby was able to eat it just fine. I didn't think it was pricy as other reviewers mentioned. Seems to be average to me. Meh, first experience so far wasn't great. I may have to give it another try. read more

I was planning on going to a place down the road for Mother's Day but we got there and even though the restaurant was very empty, they said reservations only! So I had seen Papas & Eggs bright yellow sign on my way to the other place and thought I'd check that out instead. The parking lot was a little small but we found nearby street parking. We walked in and they did look packed with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, but we were seated pretty quickly. The menu had a really good selection of breakfast items (skipped looking at lunch because I wanted breakfast). I was tempted by one of the benedicts or a breakfast burrito, but I ended up getting the chorizo omelette which was delicious. My mom got the veggie omelette and she enjoyed that, along with a side of French toast. I think I'd try the mimosas next time I go, they looked really good. read more

Excellent service and outstanding food in a lovely environment. Numerous gluten free and dairy free options for me, and they were happily accommodating on alterations/substitutions for my mom. The birria chilaquiles were memorable and I was suppressing moans of joy. I can't wait to come back again on our next trip here. Also grateful that they were open so early! Only one issue with this place is that everything is an add-on. The menu photos on yelp are old ones. I got the green chilaquiles, it just comes with beans at the bottom for $15 (which made the whole thing kinda soggy)..I added an egg for $3 (which is usually something that comes with chilaquiles). I've paid $23 for a chilaquiles breakfast before at other places but it came with an egg of your choice, and your choice of a side either potatoes or fruit, which is far for the price. First of all this restaurant has amazing food! The service is wonderful! Uri was our server and she's amazing as well! Always smiling and very polite, delightful, always excellent customer service! Ask for her when you go! I haven't had the chance to see the other servers. The first time I went it was myself and my daughter and we were coming back from the airport and we decided to stop somewhere and found this little gem of a restaurant the ambiance is nice it's very nice inside of the restaurant and it's cute and quaint! It also has a little area outside where you can sit which is very nice! So within a week I had went to pick my son and his friends up from the San Francisco Airport and told them about this place and I also took a friend of mine with me to pick them up so I decided Well let's stop and have friends there they all loved the food they're all going to go back of course I'm going to go back my daughter and I decided to make this a go to place at least once a month because we're from we're about 30 minutes from there maybe 20. So this is one of the restaurants that I will continue to go to we are also trying to get them to open a restaurant here in Salinas which is where we are from and I hope they do because I will be a lifetime customer and I will tell all of my friends and everybody I can about this place so when you read this and look at the pictures we've got please go try this place if you have access to getting there I don't know about their other places but I know this one there's Chef is their food is amazing thank you Yuri! It's not a typical Mexican restaurant. Is more of a feel of a fast food place. The decor is kind of basic and the chairs are the most comfortable. But the food and the service were well worth it. Breakfast does matter and for me breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. I was looking for a breakfast spot that wasn't a chain and that offered breakfast later than usual. P&E grabbed my attention and checked off all the boxes that I was looking for. The place is decorated with a fresh modern look that is both welcoming and spacious. We decided to sit indoors only because we're old and we needed to warm up a bit. The entrance of the restaurant is highlighted by an impressive coffee bar that serves a variety of choices to get you started. I ordered the coffee chai and my wife had the chai latte and they both were great. We scanned the menu throughly from the front to the back and then rewinded back to the front. Several things got our attention but in the end the red chilaquiles with pork rinds sounded like things couldn't get any better. For the sweet plate I ordered the French toast with berries. The chilaquiles and pork rinds made me very happy and I was easy like a Sunday morning. The double crunch of the pork rinds and the chilaquiles played a piercing song of pure flavor. The French toast and berries was a nice side kick to my already satisfying meal. P&E has provided us with some additional fountain of hope in what has seemed to be a culinary desert. P&E is the place you want to visit if breakfast matters to you. read more

My first time here and it did not disappoint! The location was easy to find and the restaurant was clean and had a great ambiance. The service was great and we were seated immediately on Easter weekend. The waitress immediately arrived and took our drink order. The have a full espresso bar as well as the normal breakfast selection, including micheladas and mamosas. The waitress was super friendly and we got out food about 10 minutes after ordering. The menu selection has lots of options and leans towards Mexican breakfast dishes. I had the chilaquiles with green sauce, scrambled eggs and chorizo and it was outstanding. My wife had the meat lovers omelette which was hearty but lacked a little bit of flavor, which she remedied with some salsa. The pancake came with cinnamon butter which was really good. Overall a 4.5 on the food. I would definitely return to this restaurant for breakfast or brunch and would recommend it to others. read more

This is a cute little breakfast/lunch place. The interior is small, but they also offer outside seating. Vianey was our server. She was very kind and personable. We ended up sitting right under a speaker which was just a tiny bit loud for me. I asked if it might be possible to turn it down and she took care of it immediately without hesitation. I ordered the Nutella French Toast. It came with strawberries and bananas on top. They have vanilla cinnamon butter that was used on on the French Toast which was vey good. Cook or get your own eggs and potatoes and pop a beer at home or in a convenience store Food, ambiance, and service don't matter if you don't have employees working. I leave $20. tip at a casino to anyone who helps me. Wal mart employees, whomever. I want to spend money and support business. Share a meal and drink with friends and family. Being busy or short staffed is never an excuse. Since the dawn of redtaurants and service, everyone has been without adequate amount of workers. Figure it out. If people are calling out. You're not getting paid enough. If employees are in a rush, they aren't sweating, and in the zone, they aren't fit to work. read more
