So here's the deal. I saw the pictures on yelp and the food looked good so I thought I'd give it a try this past weekend. When I went in, there was a guy doing some kind of food preparation and he had his tongue hanging out. This wasn't for a quick second. This was an extended time, the whole time I was up front. I don't know if he has a disability and that's what was causing it or what. Either way, it is unsanitary. If it's a disability, he should wear a mask to prevent accidentally drooling into food. read more

Solid four stars. Could have been five. Food: pizza was quite good. You can tell they use good ingredients here everything was very fresh and full of flavor. We really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was good. The pepperonis were exceptionally good. The cheese was good too. All quality products here! We enjoyed it and will be back. The wings were huge, yuge and really good! Full of flavor and very tasty. I asked them to make them crispy and they didn't lol. They were so busy I guess. If they would have been crispy like I asked the wings would have been perfect and they would have gotten five stars. They simply said they would then ignored the request. We were happy with the food overall. The brownies were good too. Customer service: they get pretty busy. They are very nice and professional over the phone but had a small issue. I told the lady over the phone before I placed my online order that the yelp 5.00 off wasn't working, she said no problem pay online and when you get here and manager will refund. I get to the restaurant manager says not sure why yelp is offering that as they don't work with yelp in any fashion. So he said he couldn't refund. That's fine. Cook wings extra crispy and sort out promotion with yelp and you are an easy five star. Great pizza and wings. read more

Zero customer service, terrible experience from this store. Was given the wrong cold pizza

First time coming to Papas Pizza in Galveston and I enjoyed it very much. I was in Galveston for a couple of days and was craving some pizza, I decided to look up what's around me and this happened to pop up. After reading some good reviews about this place, I decided to give it a shot myself. Boy did it not disappoint! Pizza tasted hot and fresh. I've ordered their lunch special giant slice meat lovers pizza/drink for $6.99 and a fettuccine Alfredo pasta. Food tastes so delicious and flavorful here. I do want to try their wings next time I come here. Good amount of seating rooms, does seem decently clean. Cons: parking is small and little hard to get out. read more

Pizza arrived hot. Good crust a little undercooked. Nice sauce flavor...Only suggestion is that the toppings on the supreme get an extra layer of cheese on top. All the toppings fall right off when you try eat so it ends up being a fork meal. read more

Absolutely incredible! I came to Galveston with family as a little getaway and had pretty big expectations with food as we love the options in Houston, Austin and Dallas. Overall, the food experience was a bit of a bust except for this restaurant. We went here on a whim because we were tired from the drive and just wanted to take something back to the hotel. We walked in and it smelled amazing! There was a bit of a line but they were moving through it quickly (similar to Chik-fil-a). When we got to the register, the staff was super friendly and helped us with suggestions. We ultimately ordered an all white, half spinach, half pepperoni pizza and it was so good. 10 out of 10! read more

Super chill great pizza place. It's always clean. Guys are always friendly. Has bathrooms that are decent. The pizza is fast to get to you and great tasting. Not too greasy and seasoned well (not overly garlic or anything). We went by today and got our pizza in 10 minutes and ate it so fast because it was really great. Couldn't even get a picture haha I went here years ago too back in the day it was just as good. They have really figured out the beach side pizza place thing and it's great. Well worth every penny. They have gotten more expensive but that's is totally to be expected and I don't blame them for that. Great staple reliable place to go to, and genuinely the best pizza I've had out. We found this place while looking for pizza near the beach. It had really high reviews and I can definitely see why. We walked in and there were about 10 other people inside. We ordered and the food was ready in about 10-15 minutes. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The pasta comes with a side salad, one bread stick, and ranch. The pasta portions were huge. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Parking can be tricky, maybe only like 10 parking spots in front of the building. I would definitely come back to try their other pizzas. 10/10 recommend! read more

Came back again! This time dining in. Love this place! Love the staff. Love love love the food!!! I cannot tell y'all how wonderful this place is without seeming super dramatic. The wings (especially sweet heat) are cooked to absolute perfection. The pizza, Large, is amazing. We opted for the Meat Only this time. My daughter ordered the chicken parm calzone and it was big as John Cenas face huge!! For only $10 you could split between 3 people with a healthy appetite and 4 with a snacky appetite. The gentleman that took our order at that huge window when you walked in is a keeper. Y'all have a real gem there with that one. He let us take our time. Placed and order for the wings and drinks and he did not rush us to pay. He was quirky (anyone who knows me knows I thrive on a sense of humor) and he was just in the right spot! It's rare a place has the perfect person as the one who greets the guests and makes that amazing impression. Every time we come to the island from San Antonio we will definitely visit!! I don't know what's wrong. This place went kind of downhill. I ordered a thin crust cheese pizza got it home. I was so hungry. I should've took it back. Pizza is delicious with great crust and tasty toppings! Ordered extra large double pepperoni and mozzarella cheese & mushrooms pizza , large ham - mushrooms - black olives, for delivery . Took an hour but pizzas were warm and yummy. Then ate at Papas Pizza restaurant when we took a lunch break from beach. The staff were friendly , helpful and funny (with jokes!) . Had a single Texas size pizza slice - meat lovers and ice cold Dos XX beer on tap! The location is prime for beach lovers ! Across Seawall Blvd. is the beach and near clean public toilet and shower! Ordered food for delivery. They quoted 38 minutes and it took about 40-45 so perfect timing. The food was so incredibly good, still hot, and everyone was pleased. We got the spaghetti and side salad, New Yorker calzone (HUGE), and the Texas sized pizza slices that were the hit of the night. This place is def a cute little hole in the wall. Blink and you'll miss it. I personally had the shrimp po boy combo, DELISH!!! My family shared the pepperoni pizza, Buffalo wings, and chicken Alfredo. The chicken Alfredo came with a salad. That side salad was looking pretty good for a pizza place salad. Support local businesses ! Walk up to the counter, order your food and then get your drinks. Surpringly, we did not order pizza, but they looks and smell really good. The Texas size XL looks like it could feel an army. Just sayin. I have to also point out that they have 2 tvs dedicated to nfl/sunday, but they also have another tv with other programming. Today its figure skating. I will take figure skating over football any day of the week. Its beautiful and fascinating to watch . They are observing social distancing between tables, but not very quick to clean tables, which does surprise me. In my opinion, when you have limited tables, you keep them clean to rotate them. I was needing some hot wings, and Mike wanted a sandwich, so we chose this spot. I am going to start the food review by saying, the fountain Mugg root beer is the best mugg root beer I have experienced. I have to assume they maintain their soda lines here better than other places. Now for the food. My husband ordered their classic Italian sandwich. It was huge, he only ate half, and that is definitely not the norm. It was served with chips which he didn't even open. He said it was very good. He ordered it without tomatoes or onions, added mayo and it came out perfect. My wings, ordered traditional bone in mango habanero basket. I orderedmy wings extra chips. The crinkle cut French fries came out hot and fresh and were very good. My bone in mango habanero wings were extremely saucy, not as well done as I would have preferred, but they were done enough that I didn't complain. I do wish they were more crispy prior to the saucing. Despite the lack of the crispness I was looking for, and despite this being our first visit, I am giving a full 5 stars because literally everything was awesome.
