The main issue was the OWNER of the bar was in there drunk as could be. Kept making smart remarks to me and then turning his head away like a scared little kid and laughing like he was funny. He kept telling me over and over he owns the bar to which I told him I don't care who knows the bar, but in a meaner way. He tried to get me to take a shot but I refused and he kept making dumb remarks and hiding by turning away. He then apologized when he could tell I was tired of his act. I paid and left and wouldn't go back in that bar unless it was to beat up the drunken bar owner and his little buddies..

Back when I was a kid, all the men in my family even played on the softball team here, so this place has a lot of history and memories for us. I finally stopped in again recently and the food absolutely delivered. The pizza, cheese curds, onion rings, and pretzels were exactly what I was looking for when it comes to good, satisfying bar food. Everything hit the spot, and the portions were solid. What makes it even better is that I live right around the corner, so I definitely see this becoming a regular spot for me. Me and my kids' mom are already planning on coming back for the meat raffles and bingo, and I might even start watching my games here, despite being a Chicago fan There's something special about a neighborhood bar that has been part of your family's history for years. The place is smaller on the inside than it looks with a few flat screens, gambling machines, music machine etc. The place has four taps and a cooler full of a variety of bottled beers and I would get a tap beer. This was not the oasis that I was thinking because it was hot with the ac doing very little because they were window units. The beer was somewhat cold and dark, I don't even know what it was because the bar tender didn't know what two of the taps were.
