I visited this spot for an event being hosted here. The space was very cute, dimly lit, great Playlist going ... I think it may be a speakeasy, as the entrance was only marked by a butterfly on a plain black door. I enjoyed my cocktail , and I saw some folks eating wings that looked pretty good too.

I can't believe this spot has been here for a year! It's time we showed it some love! Tips about this spot: On Tuesdays after March 18, there Hot Topic Tuesdays with chalupas and tacos. Wednesdays have Wednesday Winedowns, with discounts on wine and whisky. And on Fridays there is Karaoke! I stumbled upon this cafe while looking for a warm cup of coffee. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, covered with lush plants and velvet seating. I was greeted by the owners who also run Butch's Bistro over in Patterson. They were an absolute delight and very attentive. I ordered a large coffee, nothing fancy. The coffee here is French pressed and medium roast. After striking up a conversation with the couple beside me, I was invited to drink champagne with them as well. I ended up spending over an hour just chatting with everyone there, and it was so refreshing. I wish I came with an appetite, because the food smelt so good! The couple beside me ordered Shrimp & Grits, and a thick Ruben, which by the smell made me regret my breakfast this morning, haha. I definitely will be returning to try the food! ;)

The speakeasy is small so it is not good for large events. It is very beautiful however !! I will say this place is expensive I would only go for happy hour . That shrimp was good though lol !!

I really wanted to love this place. Its launch on social media gave me really high hopes but I really fell short. I love the location/speakeasy feel but it works against the restaurant because seating is super limited. We arrived around 1145 and were seated at the bar because we didn't have a reservation which was not a problem. There was music so I was excited about the potential of the vibe. The use QR codes for the menu. The brunch menu is very simple with some breakfast staples. They have $25 bottomless mimosas and lemon drop flights. We ordered the mimosas. We ordered a little while later... the couple next to us had been here for a moment and it was still about 30min after we arrived that they received their food... cold. They sent it back... which would apparently lead to a delay in our food. Drink refills were slow and at one point we weren't given a choice in juice just whatever he wanted to make. The couple next to us got their food, complained that shrimp and grits were salty. Another 10min later I got my food but my friend didn't get hers. I opted to wait for her which took maybe 5-7 more min. I had the chicken strips and waffles. The strips are out of the bag and were soft, kind of like the grease wasn't hot enough. The waffles were ok. My friend had the French toast meal, the bacon appeared to be pre-cooked. She got syrup from our new friends since she wasn't given any. I ordered a side of bacon and never received it which I'm perfectly ok with. The bartender left a lot to be desired in attentiveness, attitude, and overall customer service. I never want to disparage a new business especially not a black business but this experience fell so far short. Maybe with time and training things will improve but as of right now it's a no for me. I highly recommend a reservation... a group of 6 was turned away because they didn't have a reservation and the bar couldn't accommodate even though the restaurant wasn't full.

This is Puerto Rican pitorro, also known as ron cañita, made with care and intention rather than gimmickry. Many local liquor stores now carry the brand, and it is well worth picking up a bottle, but visiting the distillery is an experience in itself. The founder is a fellow Puerto Rican born retired military member, a background I share, and like me, he has put down roots in Maryland. That story is reflected clearly in the brand's own framing, "Puerto Rican born, Maryland made." The space feels grounded and unpretentious, and that sensibility carries through to the hospitality. We arrived late on a Saturday and were still welcomed warmly, never rushed. We were taken care of by the founder's daughter, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She guided us through a flight that included the traditional pitorro, almond, pineapple, coffee, coconut chai, and several seasonal offerings. The flavors were thoughtful and well balanced; even the infused expressions retained a clear rum backbone rather than drifting into novelty. We enjoyed them enough to leave with several bottles. This is artisanal pitorro done right, rooted in Puerto Rican tradition and confidently made in Maryland. Buying it locally is convenient, but going to the distillery is where the people, the story, and the spirit fully come together.

Always great service by bar manager Charlie, fantastic food and beverage menu and options. My favs so far are the grilled wings and chicken tortilla soup. The drinks are pretty awesome, and Charlie the Great can alter beverages to your preference if you prefer. This is an overall mezcal bar, but they have other libations as well. My fav is John Updike's Old Fashioned. My son ordered and loved the Strawberry Gin & Tonic. This establishment is a great conversation starter, and I look forward to returning asap.

The venue is dimly lit with the bar side giving glam dive vibes and the table side just giving glam. I wasn't able to see the speakeasy part due to some Harry Potter event. I was there on a Thursday, which meant I got to enjoy the happy hour that started at 7. I ordered a watermelon margarita which was very good, and later on a schmancy mojito. A few of us came early and got drinks at the speakeasy upstairs which I definitely recommend! It had a great drink menu and cool vibe. For actual dinner, the restaurant itself had an eclectic menu and swanky decor. The service was spotty. I had to ask for water refills 2x. Also for a group of 12, it took about 7 mins for everyone to be served food. Yes, this is a large party, so you must have several servers come bring the food when you're charging these prices. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'd like to come back but at the price point, I wish our experience was better and wish the food was more consistently good.

The Polpette was to die for, hands down my favorite dish of the night. I initially wanted the Rigatoni but it was sold out so I decided on the Agnolotti and my friend got the Spaghetti alla Chitarra. The Agnolotti was not bad but the flavor was more earthy than I prefer, but my friend thought it was delicious so we swapped pastas.
