Very welcoming when walked in. Seated right away and server came with a minute of sitting down. Ordered 2 eggs (I let the server choose how they were cooked) with ham and hashbrowns. My side was a fresh homemade biscuit. So delicious. I am so happy stopping by. Yall should try their breakfast if you can.

Eggs Benedict : Eggs cooked to perfection. Hollandaise sauce is delicious and perfect consistency!

Visited Pappa Yolks today as my Sunday Brunch. Ambience: Love the local vibe. The decor is fun, engaging, and every where I looked I found something really cool and awesome about the place. I could probably spend a whole day just looking at the walls as if it was a museum of Pasadena's finest including police officers. Came in and was greeted by friendly staff. Tyler was my waiter and took my order: Eggs Benny with half order of grits and Hashbrowns since I wanted to try both sides out on my first time. Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection. The egg was perfect and the Hollandaise was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Nice thick country ham was fried and complimented the eggs and sauce well. The English muffin was drenched with the yolky and Hollandaise goodness that sent my taste buds to Flavortown! The Hashbrowns were cooked very well. The nicely browned crisp wrested well with the soft goodness laying inside. Thank goodness they have Cholula because that's favorite way to eat them! Grits were textured well and hot. Added lots of butter and salted them up to my liking. Next time I may add cheese! Definitely will be back again. Friendly staff, my waiter, Tyler, was amazing and attentive. Management greeted me with a smile as I walked in. Thank for making my Eggs Benedict EGGSACTLY how I love them! Other notes: Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Loved the Texas vibes and all the interesting decor.

    Chewy stake

Poor customer service. Average food. Ask for stake and eggs. Requested the stake medium cook. Got over cooked, had good flavor but was very chewy.

Real sense of history walking through this place, a real retro charm and ambience. A testament to those who sacrifice for and serve us. The food was delicious. The only problem is had was that the tables were old and wobbly.

Mom and I went to breakfast at Pappa Yolk's because she has been wanting to give it a try. When we walked in we were greeted and sat shortly afterwards. The restaurant was very busy which is a good sign! Started with coffee which was fresh and steamy! Momma had the waffle and fried chicken, when it came out, it's not how we thought it would be, and she said my goodness this is a lot, looks like I will have leftovers. That was not the case! She is a little thing and ate just about everything, said it was sooooo good! I had the whole order of French toast with bacon and added two eggs. Here I was thinking the same thing that I would also have leftovers and that was also far from the truth! French toast was good, a little thin for my liking, but that is a preference. One of the three slices of thick bacon was so salty, I couldn't eat it, and momma and I each had an egg! While there customers were constantly coming in and they were on a wait as we were leaving. It's not a super small restaurant either. Lots of decor all over the walls.

I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go. I walked in and it was a seat yourself place. The restaurant had no Covid precautions you sit next to anyone. I would have left but there was not that meany people so I sat down scanned the menu with the wrong code on the table and waited and waited I tried to get 2 waitresses attention and finally got one of them on the 2nd attempt when I put my hand out infringe of her. I ordered the hashbrowns cooked lightly and a meat lovers omelet. The hashbrowns where so over cooked it was not even close to being light and the omelet was to salty to eat. I left 75% of it on the plate and left. Will not be back

I really dislike having to do negative reviews but hopefully this helps. Honestly the single worst breakfast I've had in my life including all restaurants, family and friends who've cooked for me and times I've settled for waffles from a box. 3 different dishes for 3 different people and only 1 somewhat enjoyed their meal.

Well I'm back here! And as always what a delightful setting. This place is amazing! The staff is amazing your greeted with a smile and treated like your family! I've enjoyed eating here. You won't leave hungry that's for sure!

If you are looking for a mom and pop diner, then Pappa Yolks Grill is the place. Word of caution, the waiting area is very small and you are likely to be standing outside if packed. The inside looks like a local dive spot. Ok, the food. My honey had the egg and chopped steak. His opinion, the chopped steak is enough for two people and the hash browns were made to his liking-crispy. Only con to the chopped steak is that it could of used more seasoning. Overall it was good. I had the spinach omelet and it tasted homemade. The cheese had to be kraft because of the flavor. Kuddos to not using cheap cheese. Pricing is very reasonable. If you ever been to Kelly's , Poppa Yolks is way more reasonable and the portion size is reasonable. You will leave full. One thing I will note is that they do honor the Police and Military. kuddos

We wanted to do breakfast at somewhere different today so we decided to drive up to this place -- mistake! Don't understand all the good reviews. It's a remarkably large diner -- crowded and LOUD. The parking lot was full. We shared the bacon & cheese omelet. Not up to Denny's standards. We won't be back. __ We've eaten out every meal for 30 years

Food was good but I could hear the cook or owner screaming at the waitresses. Very unprofessional and just plain rude. You lost my business

Our 4 table top was ready within 15 mins. We've frequented different Texas Roadhouse's so we usually know what to order. Our server, spoke too fast and didn't have his name on the receipt so I can't say who took care of us. Overall, the service was mediocre except for the rounds of alcohol. He was definitely on top of that and trying to upsell drinks. I had to remind him twice for a set of silverware and the lemons he'd keep forgetting. He'd occasionally check on us for rounds of beer, but completely overlooked the need to refill bread, iced tea, and water until I had to ask for it. The sampler appetizer was good and my ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare so this is the reason I considered 4 stars. I tried the seasoned rice for the first time and not a fan. It tasted dry to me, but the green beans were good. Overall, service 3/5, quality of food 5/5. The servers are inconsistent so you may end up with one that's great and another that's mediocre. I think it also depends on the location.

I chose to order a 5oz salmon and it sat on a bed of rice pilaf, the salmon was cooked perfectly. I also had a side of green beans which were seasoned pretty good, and a house salad. I love their ranch dressing .... But you know what was the best were those buttered croissants. The came out hot with the honey butter dripping off of them.. They were great! Washed everything down with a sweet tea.. My waiter didn't miss a beat. It's a family friendly restaurant and they allow large groups to dine. I will be back!!!

Walked in was greeted but told they only had 1 fryer working. So this meant only chicken tenders & fries from the fried menu. Mind you not ALOT more stuff than expected is fried. We had to switch tables because the booth we 2st were seated at was poorly cleaned. We asked for a another. We were moved. The gentleman that took our out was very attentive & kind. I had steak tips, they were overcooked. My sister had bourbon glaze salmon & shrimp, salmon was overcooked, my kids & neice had Alfredo pasta & tenders, they had no complaints so I was fine. Maybe try again when they have all Fryers working or when they have better non-furred food options.
