Wonderful cajun food, good service, any Pappas restaurant is good stuff. Took my son there for his birthday - service great, food great.

Still a solid location to visit. Consistent in food and the ambience is nice. Good 90's R&B playing this evening so got to jam along. Arrived close to 7pm and got sat right away. The hostess were very friendly and she asked me how my day was going on the way to the table. Diane was my server and she was ok, didn't interact much. She dropped the menu and picked up the ticket without a greeting, when she did return asked for a drink. Asked if I wanted bread on the way to drop food at another table and dropped the tea shortly after. When she did return to ask about an appetizer, I already knew what I wanted to order. Order came out pretty quick and was exactly as remembered. Delicious! This time I dipped the baked potato into the sauce on the plate. Out of this world!

FIRST OF ALL MANAGEMENT Was not very nice. My daughter and a few of her colleagues made a very big accomplishment. We walked in an asked for a table that would seat at least 11. The host at the desk was attempting to assist and the manager said that table is not available the hostess said yes they canceled. She preceded to go back and forth with her staff and finally walked off. We were then seated and accommodated according to our request. From then on it was smooth sailing. Our server was very pleasant and on top of things even though someone introduced her as new she did very well. We were very pleased. Everyone said their food was delicious. I ordered shrimp with dirty rice. The rice was a little cold but I didn't complain to the server she was doing her best. Lightning was ok floors were clean.

I've been to Pappadeaux several times now and literally have never left disappointed. Their food is amazingggg and so incredibly tasty. Their service also always on point. Pro tip- make a reservation if going on a weekend because it'll save you significant amount of waiting time! Our usuals: 1. Pasta Mardi Gras - sooo tasty and love the combo of shrimp, crawfish and sausage 2. Texas Redfish - another massive portion of food with an incredible butter sauce 3. Wild caught grouper lunch portion is so tasty as well 4. We always do the shrimp and crawfish fonduex to start Please go here. The portions are huge which make the prices worth it. It's incredible and you definitely won't regret the incredible flavors!

Popped in for dinner Saturday night, and they were packed. We were seated quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server was very friendly. Things moved kind of slow with getting drinks and food, but our server was very apologetic and offered us a free dessert. We definitely understood, as they got slammed all at one time. The bread was a bit over cooked and dry, but we enjoyed the rest of the food. The calamari and octopus was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The soft shell crab was excellent! The roasted oyster were very flavorful, but a bit greasy and salty for my taste. I could only eat two of the six. I had a couple of martinis, but I don't recommend them. They were very watered down and had very little vodka. They also ran out of glasses. So they served my last one in a champagne flute. It was a decent dining experience but not great.

Been to several Pappadeaux's now and this one is consistent. Our server was superb, she really went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our meal (eg. Offering to let me switch meals if I didn't like what I ordered). My party of 5 came around 6pm on a Monday and didn't need a reservation. I had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. It was very tasty and a good portion. A little spicy, but no complaints from me. Everyone else also enjoyed their meal. The salmon in particular looked really good, as well as the bacon wrapped shrimp. Entrees are around $30-40

I came to Pappadeaux to celebrate myself for my birthday, and it was exactly the energy I needed. I started with the Crab & Spinach Dip with parmesan crostini. Creamy, seasoned, not shy on flavor. Perfect start. Then came the star: the Wild-Caught Red Snapper with jumbo lump crab, lemon butter, toasted almonds, and that sautéed spinach. The spinach was so good I had to pause mid-bite and stare at the plate. The fish was grilled just right, tender and flaky. The crab was delicious too, though I would have appreciated a little more considering the price. Still, the dish was well-executed and memorable. The Dirty Rice was a whole experience on its own -- perfectly seasoned, deep flavor, and absolutely worth mentioning by name. The woman sitting next to me at the bar ordered the Oven-Baked Crab Cake. I snagged a taste (with permission, I promise!). Perfect texture, perfect seasoning, and that lemon caper butter was the right kind of bright. Great vibes, clean environment, attentive staff. And the Old Fashioned they made me? Not too sweet, not too strong, just smooth and grown. And they sent me home with a complimentary Key Lime dessert to wrap up my birthday dinner. It was legit good -- bright, creamy, not too sweet. And yes, the fact that it was free was just the cherry on top, not the reason it slapped. Treat yourself here. I'll definitely be back.

Been here a million times, love the food.... I always go for the gumbo that is amazing and the fish Ponchatrain, best stuff in the menu. Deliciously amazing, but........ Service is hit or miss, this time was a miss. I got my fish and was half sauced, that delicious buttery sauce was badly poured ONLY on half the fish, surely I asked the server for more sauce and he cam back with a BS story that They'd charge me for an extra order of that sauce!!!!! Yes exactly that! They served the $40+ plate with half the dressing and then decoded to charge me extra for the rest! WoW...

I needed to wine down and stopped by for some hot tea. Customer service was so-so today, busy lunch time around 11:40am. I ended up ordering this pasta, can't remember the name, but every bite was delicious!!

Pappadeaux has changed and not necessarily for the better! The food is still good as is but the pricing, service and offerings are different nowadays! They offer basically nothing on the happy hour menu which explains why it is empty! The salmon Alexander is delicious however and serving size is good but come on now corporate !! The atmosphere is nice with music that isn't too loud !

Pappadeaux was directly across the street from our hotel, so we stopped here for lunch. I wish we had this restaurant here in Northern CA. This place was so good, I went twice on my trip. The first time, I had the Seafood Cobb Salad. Probably the best Cobb salad that I have ever had. The shrimp were fresh and big. Full avocado and perfectly cooked bacon. When I comeback to Austin, I am getting this again. Second time around I had the Shrimp Po boy sandwich. This was massive. I could only finish one side. It tasted great and French fries were perfectly cooked. Customer service went above and behind. I got halfway done with my Coke Zero and the waiter came through with a refill in a new glass cup. A+ service from this crew. The restaurant is real nice and clean. I saw they had a nice bar area with some TV's to catch a game at. Next time I will definitely do that. I can't wait to comeback to Pappadeaux.

We were actually about to attend a YELP Elite event in Austin and I had a wardrobe malfunction with my old resurrected cowboy boots. This after creeping around searching for parking for about 20 mins. So I had to bail, didn't even go inside. Aaagh! As we were already dressed up for the occasion, I decided not to let the night go to waste. Went and grabbed a pair of "Hey Dudes" from Marshall's and drove to Pappadeaux Seafood. Tried to call, but no answer. Dreading a long wait, but when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised and were seated within 5 mins. Our server "Avery L." was excellent. He had quite a few tables in his section, yet he was "On top of it". He provided some amazing dinner choices. He knows his stuff. As it was days away from our 20th anniversary, we decided to not look at prices, but enjoy the experience. Wife ordered " Seafood Tagliatelle", pasta over an assortment of seafood. She loved it. Was surprised when she figured out she was eating octopus, but the flavor was so good, she didn't mind. I ordered the "Salmon Alexander", Grilled Salmon, crispy skin down, with shrimp, langoustines, and scallops, in a brown butter sauce. The combination was a delicious blend of seafood and dirty rice. All and all we had a great time, until we asked about dessert. If I recall they had "Sweet Potato Pecan Pie", "Vanilla Bean New York cheesecake", an Amazing Bread Pudding, Key Lime pie and one more, (sorry). We were stuck between the Sweet potato pie and the Bread pudding. I conceited and we enjoyed the Bread Pudding. This was not your everyday pudding, oh no! Rum soaked raisins, baked in a texture similar to "Tres Leches", and topped with Hagen-Daz vanilla ice cream. OMG, I was stuffed. The was the best meal I've enjoyed here in a while. Come on down and enjoy it for yourself. Ask for Avery, you won't go wrong. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

When in Texas, I always stop at Papadeauxs. The gator bites are so flavorful you'll be begging for the recipe. I love their take on garlic bread. This was my first time trying their po boy and gumbo.. i was not that impressed . Definitely get the gator bites!

Do you guys still have your lump crab cake on the menu? Had it at a Pappadeaux during a layover at Houston airport and it was so good.

Does this restaurant still serve orange peel chicken?

I don't think they ever had orange peel chicken? They are a seafood/ Cajun restaurant.

What are some of the dinner prices? On their menu it shows no prices.

Expect to pay around $30 per person for dinner.

My favorite out of those items was the mushroom salad with vinagarette dressing, who doesn't love mushrooms and some greens! The etouffee was rich and savory with what i believe was their rotating protein of the week. Can't really go wrong with red beans and rice, these are like an upgraded popeyes version. Since it was this new and poppin' restaurant on East Cesar Chavez from the team behind De Nada, we had over an hour wait that we didn't take up. Its vibe intrigued me, and I think Cajun food is top five like Tatum with a cut. I decided to prepare only slightly this time. While getting dinner with a friend, we were discussing places when I suggested Lil' Easy. I threw a reservation down for an hour later at one of their numerous dining options. Upon arrival, parking at that little strip of restaurants on East Cesar Chavez is a bit treacherous. If you're not afraid of getting your steps in at 6 pm on a Friday, don't sweat it. Anyone else, good luck. There are a lot of different seating arrangements at Lil' Easy: the true outdoor patio with fans and umbrellas, the climate-controlled outdoor space that still brings the sun while still pumping A/C, and the traditional indoor space. Plenty of seating. The entire place was decorated with Mardi Gras beads and colors. Off the rip, we had to set the tone: I ordered a Pimm's Cup while my friend got some secret frozen swirl. We had to throw down an order of the Crawfish Queso as well. The food and drinks were served so quickly, we questioned if it was ours. The queso was De Nada's signature queso with Crawfish Étouffée mixed in. There are no tortilla chips on the side, but instead toasted bread. It's kinda like a DIY Crostini. The crawfish's flavor is a unique and savory balance to the cheesiness of the queso. Very delightful. We crushed it. My friend wanted to go wild. Another appetizer?? Their Shrimp Cocktail was thrown down immediately after ordering. The shrimp was great, but those house pickles were sneakily one of the best things they served us. Living the high life. Speaking of that, I ordered a High Life Pony as we made our main orders: a Fried Catfish Po'Boy and Fried Oyster Po'Boy. Both cut down the middle so we could have a little this, a little that. I think the bread, the catfish and the oysters, and the fries served alongside it were all incredible. My only issue was that the catfish po'boy had horseradish in it. That is a me issue, and I don't know why I can't stand horseradish. I don't know if it was hiding in their coleslaw or their rémoulade, but something was horseradish-y! I'd get the oyster po'boy again and again though! We closed the night with me being fun as I ordered their Frozen Espresso Martini with sprinkles and whipped cream because some other lady sitting nearby had that, and I WANTED TO BE FUN TOO. My friend got herself the seasonal nonalcoholic Arnold Palmer that was spiked with some Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka. Hers was great, but mine was basically a milkshake. I looked like a joyous kid with my drink. I was so very happy. They do give you lids for your drinks if you want to take them with you, but I planned to finish mine then and there. The gimme cups are also a nice touch and have their cute alligator mascot on them. Throughout the night, we could not believe how fast the service was at getting our meals and our drinks to us. Our waitress was absolutely on point the entire time we were there, constantly checking in on us and being extremely friendly and helpful in making sure we chose the right things and had a good meal ahead of us. Lil' Easy is casual, fun, and absolutely delicious. They have some of the best frozens in Austin, and their food is some of the best seafood and Cajun food I've had in Austin, hands down. The waitress is very helpful and nice. I came here because I kept hearing good things about the crawfish. I have to say the crawfish was OK. There is nothing amazing about it, but it was good. I will say the corn and the onion were beyond spicy, but that was a nice kick. We also got the oysters. I have to say that the oysters were delicious so I give them that. The gumball was definitely missing a lot of flavor. It was it that good. The deviled eggs were mediocre and nothing special to them. We also got a meat. Patty empanada kind of deal and that was OK. It was a little overly greasy. And for dessert, we got the banana rum cake, which I have to say was nice but again nothing special. As for drinks, they had quite a variation. One of us got the espresso martini, which was OK. It was too sweet for my taste. And then I got the spritz which was nice. It's very hard to mess up a spritz. Not sure I would've come back just because the food was OK if I did come back, it would be for the oysters cause I do say that was really good for them.
