You start your walk in and the transformation begins into another place entirely. Not simply because your not at home Dorothy but because of the well done everything to help you feel as though your in a soulful part of something special. Despite all this I am usually not going to pick this place due to the fried food. However, a college picked and he was buying so I said I'll make it happen and thankfully so did Pappadeaux. The grilled seafood skewers were incredible each piece was cooked perfectly the Shrimp, Scallops, & Salmon all perfect nothing overdone with just a bit of grill char that adds so much flavor in my opinion. Surprisingly I would be thrilled to come back for those skewers and KD our waitress was awesome! We even were surprised with a birthday dessert a slice of Key Lime Pie.

Happy Hour For the win! This place is huge, fancy and popular. I love the garden area for photo ops and the fountain. Indoors the decor is really perfect for a Louisiana Cajun Fish Vibe. Well played. Here is the best plan. Go during Happy Hour sit at the bar and order ANY of the Happy Hour items for the win! You cannot lose! They are all delicious. My favorite has been the catfish. We had two appetizers and two drinks for 26.00! It was a great value and a perfect amount of food without spending big bucks. There is always super nice people to wait on you and it is fun to talk to new people at the bar. I don't drink alcohol but they have some real fancy drinks that were fun to watch being prepared. Try it out right off the 17 for easy off and back on the freeway.

Quick lunch meetup. Service was slow. No bueno if someone needs an efficient weekday spot so they can get back to work quickly. I was visiting from out of town so I didn't care. Food was good. Decor gives spacious Red Lobster. Lol. The mixed grill was tasty.

I live right by this place for years and always pass it and never tried it !!! And I looked it up and it's a literal staple in Arizona state !!! My parents and I went here for dinner and we got mozzarella sticks and a sampler platter cause we wanted to try something different and it was all good !! I got a watermelon dream and tbh off the bat it was odd but it grew on me and was really good !! The court yard is super cute and ambience of the whole place is great !! The restaurant is also very clean for how old / long it's been open! Truly a great experience !! Server was nice too :) Will of course be back !!

I made a reservation on the website the same day prior to arriving. I appreciated when walking into the restaurant the staff were very welcoming friendly. The ambiance was lively with a lot of seating with the server acknowledging my family right away and giving insight on the menu due to it being our first visit. The food was delicious with generous portions. We ordered the seafood platter which they split for us on request, the kids chicken tender and fries, and lunch portion blackened catfish with red beans and rice. Also as starters the house salad with ranch, crab spinach dip and garlic bread. This was a lot of food and as a party of 4 we had to take food home. They also split the swamp thing cocktail upon request which was so good with the right amount of sweetness. This is a place to try and I cannot wait to go again.

Alo our server was great! She was so sweet, engaging, and attentive!! This was my 1st time here. The menu was overwhelming because how can you not want everything? Sitting outside was very nice and private, lovely ambiance for any event as long as the weather permits Clean bathrooms and enough mirrors to make anyone wonder why are you in here for so long?! Great size for moms and accessibility needs in a single stall. Food was really good as well as the drink. I could have had a little more seasoning on my fish but still really good. The shrimp were a very nice size and the grits were nice and creamy in this Cajun combo lunch! Pop in, sit in Alo's section and enjoy a great lunch, dinner, or even a snack! Took some dirty rice to go for the snack!

Monday night visit, with reservations. First time dining in at this location. I've have had to-go orders multiple times. The food was good as usual. Our server was good. The restaurant was not too full so the noise level was low to moderate. This visit the shrimp gumbo, blackened catfish, and, Mississippi Catfish Opelousas were ordered. The blackened catfish could've been more seasoned. The zero proof drinks were delicious. Overall, it's a 4.5 star restaurant to me.

Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. The pricing also felt very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a place worth visiting for both small and large parties. I visited because I was searching for a steak place, and only later realized this is actually more of a seafood restaurant. The ribeye turned out truly excellent. The meat was fresh and you could really taste the quality. The steak was cooked well, nicely seared on the outside with a great crust, but not overly charred. We also ordered the seafood pasta and it was absolutely delicious. Both the sauce, chewy octopus legs and fresh seafoods. Although fries took too much of the portion of the fried fish platters and the fish was thin. What made the experience even better was the atmosphere. We had a fairly late reservation, they were still very patient and took great care of us until the end of the evening. They were also giving out bead necklaces as part of a New Orleans tradition on Tuesday, which made the experience feel festive and fun, and we felt very welcomed.

Anytime I come to Arizona, I make sure to carve out time for dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. It has easily become one of my favorite spots. Today was especially meaningful for my family as we celebrated my mother's 3-year anniversary of receiving her kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic. From the moment we sat down, our waiter, Leandrew, welcomed us with such a warm and inviting smile. He immediately began offering recommendations and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. To say he knew the dishes well would be an understatement -- he could explain every ingredient in detail for anything we asked about. We always start with the Lump Crab & Spinach Dip with crostinis, and as always, it was absolutely to die for. For our entrées, we each ordered the salmon topped with shrimp and lump crab meat, finished with a rich butter sauce and mashed potato purée. Despite how busy the restaurant was, everything came out quickly and tasted absolutely magical. While the food was phenomenal, the service is truly what made this experience unforgettable. Leandrew went above and beyond, and I genuinely hope he receives the recognition he deserves. We'll absolutely be back again. Until next time!

When I say it's been a minute, over 6 years since I've been to any Pappadeaux location. Stop in for lunch today to decompress and get some good food. Hade a peach side variety to start and the catfish ettoffee with Shrimp and dirty rice. Pappadeaux always hit the spot. My bartender was on point provided excellent service and providing a calming atmosphere. Love sitting at the bar to people watch and listen to the surroundings conversation. Make sure to come out between 11 AM & 3PM for lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Food: This will be quick and easy! Loved it! This was not my first time and wont be my last time at Pappadeaux. The only problem is there is not one in California but when I run across them I make it my business to be in attendance. The food is always high quality, well seasoned and de-li-cious!! I had a house special loaded with perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp and crawfish in a creamy sauce with garlic and cheese mashed potatoes. Scallops can be had to cook as over cooking them makes them tough but these were perfect. I also had a cup of the seafood gumbo. Well, my family is part Cajun and while it was not just like home, it was quite good. So good, I will order on future trips. Ambiance: Gotta love it! Very spacious, well decorated and with a slight luxurious feeling yet a bit of New Orleans sass. Service: The service was great. Let me say this Arizona gets it right a lot for service. The food was served quickly and hot and fresh. The server was polite, helpful and professional. Parking: Plenty of parking available in the parking lot Overall: Pappadeaux features a nice menu of options from fried Cajun favorites to soups and salads and fresh fish options. The food is well seasoned and delicious with great service and good food portions. If you love a little Nawlins flavor this is for you.

    Do they have Happy Hour?

Yes they do. You can go to the website and check the hours or call the restaurant.

They had the best Crab cake " appetizer " For $35. Amazing. Worth every penny. Then they took it…

    Yes. It is

    Do they take reservations?

.Hi, yes they do. You can do so through Google.

Do you have food items for people allergic to seafood?

    Yes

Have they temporarily stopped serving oysters on the half shell?

They serve the oysters after 5:00PM and on Saturday and Sundays. By Sunday they might be all out.

When will banana pudding come back?

You will have to contact them directly. It was blamed on COVID and the halt in distribution of goods. Haven't been there for a few months and we have the lifted mandates so I hope it's back.

    What is price range?

I would plan on $30 per person for lunch, at least $ 50 for dinner. Of course, depends on appetizer, cocktail, dessert!

    What's the dress code like?

    Office casual

    Is their patio dog-friendly?

Would recommend you call the restaurant directly.

Do they offer outdoor seating? Thanks everyone for thoroughly answering my question.

    yes they do.

Do they know how to make an old fashioned? Do they have Guinness on tap?

I honestly don't know but Ido know they have a full bar and would hope they have an excellent bartender to make your drink how you like it!!!

Do they still have music on the patio on Friday nite?

They will start offering live music on Friday's beginning sometime in October. They don't offer live music during the summer months due to the heat. This comes directly from Pappadeaux as I called them to inquire today.

Does it have a Sunday brunch buffet like some of the others?

No I don't believe they offer a brunch

    Is it quiet?

Not really. We try and get a table near the back which does help.

    Is it expensive?

It was all in perspective. As far as good seafood restaurants I think it's on par as others have commented in it is a little bit more than Red Lobster.

Is this good for a Christmas party of 10 to 15 people?

    yes

Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

That did not make the food Taste good at all. They put way too much garlic in it, and the food was impossible to eat because it was overcooked and it was rubbery. I was very disappointed on how much money I spent . if I knew in advance that they had a family emergency and was closing 1 hour early I would've waited and come back the next day and maybe the food would've have tasted a lot better. It was the lobster seafood boil for two couples, and I bought two sets for four couples. Just beware that if they're in a hurry, try not to be in a hurry to eat here. You probably get a better experience than what my family did. I've been to crab shacks before that has seafood boil and they were way better and not so stingy for the price they charge you. when I was there, there was only one family sitting at a table. The rest of the restaurant was empty. The waitress she was very friendly and very nice and very accommodating.

Food here is amazing, it's Korean BBQ so every table has a built in grill and you cook your own meats. The quality of food and the entire flavor profile of every single dish was spot on EPIC. There are 2 price options. It's AYCE basic choices for mid $30 range or AYCE full menu mid $40 range. We ordered the full menu option as we wanted to enjoy anything we wanted. Our party of six ordered Beef Bulgogi, Pork, Chicken, and Shrimp proteins. Lots of appetizer choices here so we ordered egg rolls, fried tofu, Korean pancake, and an assortments of mini side dishes. No joke . . . Every single dish is fantastic, well worth the price tag. The server was checking in on us constantly and refilling our drinks. She eventually switched the grill top as it got crusty from all the food we were cooking. Their website states that they also serve sushi but that is recently discontinued so don't expect to get sushi here. So here's some bad feedback next. I would have easily given Seoul BBQ 5 stars BUT . . . We were a party of 6. One person in my group just had major dental work (teeth extraction) earlier in the day and she wanted to join us at the table and just hang out with us. Obviously she couldn't eat so we made a request if my friend can just be at the table and not be charged the $45 buffet price. Even with this explanation and with obvious gauze sticking out of her mouth, the hostess declined our request and told us she had to pay the entire $45 buffet fee just to sit at the table. So my friend paid $45 just to sit among my eating family members only for the privilege of sitting at the table and not eating any food since it was impossible for her to eat after getting teeth pulled out. So our check was around $350- ish. They automatically added 20% gratuity for a group of 6 even though only 5 people actually ate AND we were charged for 6 people eating. So when you come here, please make sure that everybody in your group plans to eat. They will make ZERO exceptions. I wouldn't be surprised if you brought your baby child with no teeth and they end up charging you just for bringing your child with you despite the fact that your baby drinks from the bottle. Yes, this is one of those places. Also if you just had braces placed on your teeth and can't eat food that day, you will still be charged full price anyway just for hanging out with your family. On the flip side, the food is seriously good here. I really felt like giving them 2 stars due to force paying my non eating friend but the food quality is just superb.
