I do so HATE to talk bad about a local restaurant . Talking bad about a "Chain"... well they should know better. Last night, we were checking out the internet for pizza delivery. I've tried Dominos, but lately their website has been "down". So we deiced to try Pappy's Pizzeria. All I ordered was two large pizzas. The same kind we've ordered from every other pizza place in the area. * Pepperoni and a Hawaiian . Thou they did deliver faster than they claimed. The bill came to $95!!!!!! I was shown the total AFTER I had ordered. I tried to cancel, but was unable to do so. Great place to have a young child's birthday! The pizza is good, so it the salad bar, & potato spuds. A bit pricey but not much different from anywhere else. There's lots of toy machines, and arcade area. Unfortunately they downgraded the play area. For $9.95 you get one small plate (not even as big as the plate they give you for pizza) I'm from out of town visiting and had never been here before, had no clear menu, they have a HUGE TV menu for drinks, not food, and I missed the sign that was above my head at the salad bar that said "salad bar is a one time trip". The girl working here came over to tell me I could not get seconds, after I had just went to the counter to ask if I could get a clean plate. They replied with " you just get the one plate". To me that meant, use the same plate. They should have said it's a one time salad bar. Who knew a tiny plate could be $10!!! She said, "It says it on the menu". I ordered with this girl. She knows I ordered without looking at the menu. Not once did she tell me it was one time. As a first timer I see why this place has the reviews they do. Someone on one of the local foodie groups recommended the Senior Lunch Buffet at Pappy's Pizzeria. There was plenty of parking and we entered via what I think is the backdoor. We asked for two senior buffets and were given plates and told that the rules were one trip to the salad bar and unlimited pizza. The salad bar is pretty basic; but, enough choices to make a delicious salad. There were a half a dozen different types of pizza. I tried several and they were all good, even the more exotic ones. So far, in my book, Pappy's Pizzeria is tied for first for the best pizza in the Redmond OR area. We will probably become regulars for the Senior Lunch Buffet. read more

I've literally have had better pizza out of the frozen food isle from Walmart and a two item large 16" is going to cost you over $40 not counting sodas and salad bar. If a family of 4 got out of there for under $65 it would be a miracle! Servers just stand there and look at you waiting for you to say something. No, can I help you? nothing ! Tables had plates and crumbs all over them. Looks like the place hasn't been updated since it originally opened ,in what 1970s ? . I don't think that this place is a franchise but it does have the look and feel of a pizza restaurant chain. The staff here was great and the pizza was better than ok. I am on a mission to find the world's best pizza and the one I had here is not in contention for that award but it was nevertheless ok. Generous toppings. Good crust. Not the best sauce (IMO)... but everyone has different opinions on what a good sauce ought to taste like. Gobs of parking. Handy location right on the main drag. Very clean. I'm not into arcades but they have a nice one so if you have rug rats you may find this to be a nice plus. This was the 4th time this place has given me the wrong pizza order. I spent $35 for a cheese and olive but I ordered pepperoni, sausage, fresh mushrooms, onion and olive, but this is what I got. They refused to deliver to me but I am in their delivery area. Customer service was piss poor, phone service sucked and then they another free pizza that I don't like. Pros: 80's 90's style pizza parlor with lots of space, a couple of arcade games and a play area for the kids Cons: absolutely awful pizza. Crust was burnt, hardly and garlic sauce on it. Pizza wasn't cut through so it was difficult to get a piece without it breaking in half. Ordered garlic bread and got potato spuds. After going back to the counter I did get my garlic bread. It was cheese bread that came with "marinara sauce" that was the consistency of tomato soup. Pretty sure they gave me grilled cheese and tomato soup. 2 stars for the 80's nostalgia and service. $40 for a basic large pizza! read more

Pappy's is one of my husband's favorite pizza places in Redmond. We order delivery, so I can't speak to the indoor dining experience. He loves their pepperoni pizza and a couple of the combo pizzas! I am not a pizza fan, so I was thrilled to learn that they have a very good French Dip sandwich, which comes with spuds. Their deliveries are on time and the employees are friendly. They also often have coupons in the local Smart Shopper or Red Bee Press. It's a win-win on a work night when I'm too tired to cook! read more

This used to be our go to pizza for 20 years. Then COVID hit and they lost all their employees and the pizza really went down hill. We decided to give Pappy's another chance since they have had a while to recover from the fallout of the epidemic. Sorry, still really bad pizza. hardly any sauce, VERY SKIMPY toppings and very over done. A good 1/3" the area of the pizza was cheese burnt onto the crust. There were several areas on the bottom where the crust was burnt black. This last pizza was quite flavorless almost supermarket pizza quality. Maybe we will try them in another year and see if they can regain their quality? But at the cost of these pizzas ($44.00 for a large 2 topping) it doesn't make much sense to waste more money at this establishment. read more

I understand that bidenomics has pinched small business. What I don't understand is how customer service has suffered because of it. Wouldn't you want to encourage your staff to perform good customer service? Your prices are so outrageous that your customers should at least have a positive experience. We live close to your establishment and would like to frequent it often. But prices and customer service are awful. Unfortunately, you have good pizza. And are one of two places in town to get a good pizza. We will be going to Abbys from now on. Based on the service we received, don't think you will care much. Very disappointed. read more

Great homemade pizza!! The crust is exceptional and the pizza is really flavorful. You can tell they use all fresh ingredients and make their own crust. They offer a lot of varieties at a very fair price. We ordered delivery and they were very prompt ( in fact, about 15 mins before we expected!) Wow! We loved their Pizza! Their Fried Potato rounds too! We took our Granddaughter, her husband and our great grandchildren there. They had a ball in the nice clean play area with big slides. One entrance so we could visit and watch them. The crust on the Pizza was SOOooo delicious! Perfectly cooked, crunchy and tons of topping. We didn't have to ask for extra ~ it was ON the Pizza's! Today I was sooo disappointed in not only the service but the quality of the meal. I ordered a pizza, chicken and chips. The chicken was set up by the ovens while they prepared the pizza. I know that it takes longer to get chick dinners over the time for a pizza. I was prepared for the wait for my chicken and bread. I called in to order my meal on the way. When I arrived only the pizza was ready and proceeded to get quite cold while waiting for my chicken. The chicken was actually ready and sitting on a shelve by the oven. Needless to say my 40 min. Wait allowed my dinner to turn ice cold and soggy. I will certainly think twice about going there again. I am truly sorry that Pappys has gone the way of many restaurants. Entering the pizza restaurant, i immediately noticed a very dirty floor and the salad bar was horrible. Well no salad for this girl. We ordered pizza, very tasty. But while waiting i watched the employee fill and clean the salad bar. Do not order salad. New product went on top of old product. We entered Pappy's Pizza in Redmond, Oregon at 4:15 in the afternoon last Wednesday. The first thing we saw was tables littered with the remnants of previous patrons. When we arrived at the counter we noticed standing around, apparently doing nothing, chatting away, having a good time. I thought about having a salad with my pizza but one look at the salad bar and that thought vanished. It was a mess. Food littered the counter surrounding it and most of the bins were low or a mixture of the neighboring bins. I ordered a pizza and then, because of the environment we decided to take it to go. I can't say the pizza itself was bad but there are better tasting less expensive pizza's to be eaten in Redmond. Because of this whole experience I can't recommend this eatery, I'm sad to say. And needless to say, we won't be returning there. read more
