My favorite pizza in town! It's on the pricey side, but I'd rather get Pappy's than any other pizza around.

My one and only experience at Pappy's ended up with a review on Yelp. No one greeted me upon arrival even though there were at least a half dozen young employees in the kitchen area and a couple on the dining area. I didn't receive a thank you after paying for my meal. I was hoping the pizza would make up for the poor customer service, but sadly it didn't. The pizza tasted like the cap off the cayenne pepper can fell off. The pizza was aweful. My dog refused to eat it. I e-mail ed the establishment because I felt they needed to know to improve their product and service. No reply after 2 days. I called the manager earlier today to voice what happened and got a weak apology with no hint at wanting to make it better with me. I won't be returning. read more

I have never been in a restaurant that was so filthy dirty!!!! The salad bar Was disgusting with food smeared all over the top and the floor. Someone had even swept the food at one point into the corner of the bar. The kitchen floor was pure dirt from their shoes and smashed food. The guy cutting our pizza was eating what fell off of it while he was cutting. The pizza tasted like it was made from plastic, all fake ingredient. Ordered a 1/2 Veggie with garlic chicken with red sauce and 1/2 garlic chicken with mushrooms with red sauce. $33,00! When the pizza was delivered, it was 100% veggie with chicken and WHITE sauce, which doesn't agree with me. We didn't want to wait another hour to eat as everyone was hungry. I only ate two pieces, against my better judgment. Up all night with heartburn, nausea, and diarrhea. Don't know if it was the white sauce or food poisoning. Next morning, still extremely nauseous. Save your money and do business with a company that listens to its customers so they can get the order right. read more

Normally always had a good experience when i came in the past when i was visiting but today we placed a order for 2 pizzas on the phone and walked over to get them for only have one made. No one knew who took our order on the phone and the young girl who I'm pretty sure took it had a bad attitude about it and was rude. When asked if she took our order she replied idk and walked away. Which made me just leave without my order. Good customer service goes a long way. read more

I have no complaints on the pizza, I've had it there before and I like it. How ever the cleanliness... Horrible. I had to get my money back and leave this time and I won't be back. The girl ringing me up wore her gloves to ring everything in and handle the money. Then she didn't take the gloves off or wash her hands.. uses the same gloves to grab our plates. All while I watch another girl walk from the back on her phone.. set her phone down right where she cuts the pizza and doesn't wash her hands before handling and cutting the pizza. When I asked to talk to a manager I look over to see the manager is getting pissy with a customer for having to refill her iced tea.. To top it off as I left the girls STILL didn't wash there hands and used them to refill the salad bar. Not long before they get someone seriously ill. read more

I ordered a pizza to go and I picked it up unfortunately the barbecue chicken pizza wasn't good. The first time I've ever ordered a pizza and it's hot in taste and the crust was super crunchy hard. It was so disappointing I was really looking forward to good pizza this is not the place to go. That being said the service was really good and when I went to pick it up my pizza was ready and the order was correct but I wouldn't order the barbecue chicken pizza unless you are interested in spicy. read more

The pizza is good but expensive. We have 4 little kids in our family and spend about $70.00, but we usually have some pizza leftover. There is a play place which is great, but finding a clean table is hard since they are rarely bussed. My biggest complaint is that you spend a ton of your time in lines. You stand in line to order and pay, then stand in another line to get your drink. You have to exchange your plate for the salad bar so stand in line for that and then again in the drink line for a refill. Just changing the drink system so you didn't have to stand there so long (I'm talking 5mins minimum) my rating would go up. read more

Filthy!!! We walked in and found most of the empty available tables stacked with dirty dishes and crumbs ! I sat by the table at least 5 minutes- no one came to clean up. I went to the order desk and asked if we could get our table cleaned. A young man came shortly and took away the dishes but never came back to wipe the table. After another 5 minutes I went up again and asked if we could get our table wiped as it still had food crumbs all over it. This time a girl came and with the rag in her hands, swiped the cloth from one side of the table to the other , purposefully dropping all the food crumbs and pieces onto the floor. I was half expecting, after doing that, that she would then bring a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up all the food on the floor, but no... Also very expensive and too much standing in line as others have said. Will not be back. read more

I was told that Pappys was the best pizza around. I took my family and we ordered a large pepperoni and a 10" gluten free. I would say the pizza was mediocre at best. The price was extremely high for the quality of the pizzas. If you are going to charge nearly $30 for a large single topping pizza, it better be fantastic, and Pappys isn't. I would have given only one star but I bumped it up to two stars for the fact that they offer a gluten free option. I can't stress enough that the price is simply ridiculous for the quality. If you want great pizza, I think 10 Barrels in Bend is probably the best in the area that I have found. Domino's or pizza Hut would be preferable to Pappys. read more

After reading that raving review, I had to write something to balance it out. As a long-time connoisseur of every type of pizza from just about every joint out there, I have to warn you that Pappy's has pretty horrible pizza. Their crust is more biscuit-like than pizza-like, the sauce is terrible, the toppings aren't really all that great and they are (very) expensive. On the up-side ... the salad bar is okay (maybe three stars) and they do have on the menu some sandwiches and fried chicken - neither of which have I tried -- in all fairness. They also serve pitchers of beer -- which, if you're planning on sitting out a full dinner with the kids ... you're going to need a few of. Don't get me wrong, we've been to Pappy's probably a dozen times - and the reason we keep going back is for my 8-year-old grandson, who absolutely loves the place. The reason he loves the place has to do with their enormous children's play area. If it weren't for that feature specifically, I doubt that Pappy's would have the customer loyalty that they do. Also, Pappy's is the most busy place for kid's that you'll ever want to visit - outside the public swimming pool in the heat of summer, that is. There are constant parties and tons and tons of family members. We usually like to take up space in one of the 'quieter' corners of the establishment, but seriously folks ... finding that spot is a rarity. In addition, the 'good' seating (read: quieter, more private) is nearly always (always!) sectioned off and reserved for ... you guessed it ... noisy party goers! So, long story short -- if you want good pizza, Pappy's is not the place you want to go. If your sister just came to town with her 12 kids and both sets of grandparents, then you might want to check out Pappy's. They'll keep the kids busy while you shout blissfully at your guests from across the table ... over several pitchers of beer. read more

And this is about the fifth time we've ordered pizza from Pappys, and we could not be more happier! The pizza is crisp on the bottom but not greasy at all. We've never had a problem the pizzas are always consistently great! Fast service and the delivery service is always very kind! We love ordering from Pappys!! A++++++ read more

My God, strangest experience at a pizzeria ever. This is the kind of place you would expect to find in the middle of Nevada next to a trailer park. The best way to describe Pappys Pizzeria is this: Its like Chuck E Cheese without the rat, same pizza, same crowd, same customer service. 1) 22 bucks for a medium pepperoni is outrageous unless you're at Round Table 2) Never been to a Pizzeria that calls your number outnon the over head and makes you retrieve your pizza from the counter. 3) Theres always a line in front of the soda machine because if you want a refill they do it for you, really odd. 4) Tons of kids running around screaming giving it that good old Daycare feel 5) The pizza is a 5 out of 10. Really heavy on the red sauce, the pepperoni feels and tastes like the bag you buy in the Wal Mart cooler section, and the crust is oddly crunchy and Im usually a fan of crispy crust but this was like chewing cardboard. Overall, if your trying to wine and dine your date and you take her to Pappys Pizzeria don't expect to get laid. read more

Honestly the worst pizza I have ever had. We ordered Hawaiian (I know, I know. I wasn't in charge of the decision). The pizza was entirely covered with a solid layer of unappetizing ham, and sprinkled with dry pineapple. The sauce was not very good but worst was the crust. It was akin to a matzo cracker. Extremely dry and brittle. Overall, the pizza tasted like a $6 convenience store pizza. I'd recommend just saving $20 by buying the $6 one. read more

This place is a testament to the value of competent management, and the disaster of its absence. From a past visit here I know the pizza is pretty good. But the staff cannot handle demand. A whole restaurant sits here awaiting orders with no progress evident. For dining in I was asked immediately if I wanted a plastic fork because they were out of metal table ware. Every table is heavy with dirty dishes although a huge staff stands around in the kitchen. Disappointing. read more

Always a favorite stop in Redmond, OR. A little pricey, but the portions are BIG. Just a basic pizza place that is always busy with nosedrippers. You definitely want to shower in sanitizer when you are done. It seems to be the local little kids hangout. Nuff said. read more

My husband and I were staying in Warm Springs where everything closes at 10 so we went 50 miles to this place to get there about half an hour before closing. They had already cleaned, were about to call it a night, but they graciously greeted us with NO attitude and let us take our time picking out what we wanted. We chose the chicken, which takes the longest to cook on the menu. They didn't mind AT ALL. They were super awesome about it all, and the food was the BEST fried chicken I've had since moving here from the south. The play place is in pretty rickety shape but still sturdy enough for even rambunctious kids. The arcade is really awesome too. I loved coming here! read more

I can honestly say we had a really great time. The place was surprisingly quiet. With this being the first hot day of the year, I thought they'd be packed. We only had to share the play area with three other families the entire evening--two families for the first 15-20 minutes and one family for the last 20-30 minutes. It's well set up so parents can sit at tables and still see through the doorways and window into the connected game and play rooms. While the play area isn't incredibly huge, it's great for the size of the restaurant and play room. The pizza was very good and had luscious amounts of cheese that pulled in ribbons as long as my arm when I picked up a piece of bout pie. Oh! And I thoroughly enjoyed my bottomless salad bar. My husband and I both commented on our way out how we'd like to bring our family back again. It's a bit of a drive from where we live, but, well worth it. For about $40, we got a very large pizza, 2 bottomless fountain drinks, and an all you can eat salad bar for one (and that's to say nothing of the kids being occupied and happy enough that both Mommy and Daddy got to eat dinner while the food was still hot (or cold, for my salad) AND enjoy each other's company. We have been here before and had 4 star food with 3 star service. This trip was 3 star service with 1 star food and zero for atmosphere..... The spuds were overcooked and 2 were rotten inside..... The pizza was way over done. The giant TV was incredibly loud and on Senate review hearings.... I asked them to turn it off or at least down and they replied that others may be watching it. Just give me a fork along with my little packaged ketchup and I'll stab my self to death with it and have a better visit!!! read more

Anyone who would give this place more than two stars has never had pizza before. Seriously. Pros: Decent selection of beers on tap, including a sampling of the local microbrews. Couple of large TV's with sports (although it was WOMEN'S basketball on the night we were there). Large indoor play area for kids. They charge for soda refills...and the "bottomless" option, isn't. Cons: Very, very, very loud. Large indoor play area for kids. Very expensive and very poor quality food. This place is large and very loud. It is essentially a poor copy of chuck-e-cheese's. Lots of large groups with loud kids running everywhere. There is basically no reason to go here if you don't have kids...and even then there are a ton of better options in Central Oregon (kids can play outside in C.O...it's an outdoor mecca). Watch yourself in this place...the knee-high crowd runs at high speed from the dark corners of the rooms and attacks your shins without notice or regard for your safety. The pizza was not good, and it's very expensive for the quality. We paid $33 for a 13" pizza with two small salads and a couple of sodas. You can get a better pizza at Domino's for $7.99. Seriously, I could have heated up a frozen DiGorno from Walmart and sat at home and watched basketball that wasn't women's college basketball and been more satisfied. Redmond has much more to offer in the Pizza category. The salad bar was fresh, but that's all that can really be said about it. Not much to pick from. Some lettuce, some cheese, broccoli, peas, baby corn and macaroni salad. No croutons...Dudes, croutons and salads are like apples and pie...you can't have one without the other. If you have kids, they'll love the place. Not because of the food, but because of the large arcade and play area with speed-slides, etc. The place is absolutely swarmed with kids running and screaming. Not a place you want to go for a quiet night with the Mrs. (we brought the kids this time). If you want to kill some cash to let the kids blow off steam, go for it. It's not a bad option in a long cold, windy Central Oregon winter. But in the summer there's no real reason to go here...kids can play outside. And the nail in the coffin for this place (for me)...They charge for soda refills. Who does that anymore? They do have a large "bottomless" drink option, but I found out that the first time you take your cup for a refill the confiscate the bottomless cup and give you back a regular cup...not cool. read more

Pappy's Pizzeria has been so generous to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Redmond! They offer free pizza and drinks when I bring a Little to meet his/her Big for the first time! This can be a nervous situation for both the child and volunteer, so being able to hold these meetings at a place like Pappy's makes everyone feel more comfortable. Hands down our favorite pizza in Redmond. Definitely on the expensive side, but they always have a coupon on line that you can print off (usually $4 off a large). Every time my father-in-law comes into town he requests Pappy's. They have free delivery, and we almost always have it delivered. The restaurant itself is loud, but has a large play area that my son adores. He's only 2, so we go in with him, but he can't get enough of it. read more

I saw an employee throwing dough balls at her friend, and the window we were sitting by had black mold type substance mixed in with hair and cob webs.. what's even grosser is that the back room was littered with old food and used napkins - and nary an employee in sight. We passed another pizza spot and I'm very regretful about that decision. Almost every single table in the front and middle dining room has not been cleaned. We had to move dirty plates and cups to find a place to sit and no one came to clear tables the entire time we were here. We have called on Pappy's Pizzeria in Redmond for deliver for over a year now. 100% of the time, the orders are either wrong, incomplete, late or cold. Dining in is always great, but delivery is incredibly frustrating and getting worse. Ordered 3 personal pizza and some spuds. Spuds were burnt on the outside, still raw on the inside. pizzas took damn near an hour and were pretty gross when we got them. Flavor was weird and the crust was pathetic. Kids playplace is nice and you can reserve rooms for birthday parties, but thats all they have going for them. Literally the only time we come here is for little kids birthday parties because of the playplace. read more
