Pappy's is a well established breakfast cafe with what I would call a dive bar attached. While I have heard rave reviews about the cafe side of things and the breakfast fare, this particular visit and review was in the tavern side. A no thrills, low lit space with your typical cheap seating, pull tabs, and regulars belly up. The bartender was attentive, greatly me as soon as I walked in, immediately asking my drink order. She bantered with the regulars during my entire visit (or was on her phone) but that didn't seem to interrupt her service. I ordered the "Sunrise Burger" which was highlighted on the menu as though it was a specialty. It was just okay. Burger wasn't seasoned but was cooked well. I enjoyed the hash browns on the burger with the charring around the edges adding some crunch. Bacon was cooked perfect as was the egg. Cheese could have been more melty. All and all a pretty standard bar burger. Probably won't be back for a burger anytime soon but definitely want to get back for breakfast.

We drive by this place all the time and noticed it's always busy so when we had a day we wanted to get breakfast out we stopped by. We were lucky to be seated pretty quickly and our waitress came over immediately to get our drink order. Since it was our first time there we needed a few minutes to look over the menu. Our waitress was very efficient covering the whole area. The food was fast and well cooked. I had an omelette my husband had eggs over easy. The hash browns and toast were both good. People were coming and going the whole time we were there around 8:30 am on a Friday. There are old pictures of the area and people on the walls. Tables were cleaned as people left. The only problem was the normal entrance wasn't open and everyone was going to that door first.

Pappy's skillet - the good: a lot of food at a reasonable price. Not so good: it's very greasy & the bacon was nowhere to be found

Home style cooking at its best. My family enjoys the small town feel of Pappys. They also sponsored our youth hockey teams.

I also recommend booking at least a week in advance. A friend said they couldn't go on said date on a Wednesday. I looked for that upcoming weekend and the weekend was sold out. FOOD: The food was delicious. Despite the tray looks small, I was full halfway in. I have no concerns or complaints of their food. Every pastries, sandwiches, and dessert were delicious. My favorite was the apple chai scone. I love their lemon curd. I love everything on their savory course. I haven't tried the dessert yet. I had to take it home because I had leftovers. The tea was delicious too! It is unlimited. They bring a pot to you. I tried the Mad Hatter Holiday (cinnamon, clove, cranberry & orange) and French Creme Brulee. Out of the two, my favorite was the Mad Hatter Holiday. The Creme Brulee was too weird for me as a tea. They offered sugar cubes, creme, and honey too. PARKING: They had a decent size parking lot on their property, as well as across the street. DRESS CODE: On their website, they mention tasteful, on the side of overdressed. I saw children in sundresses. Women wore jeans with a nice shirt. One guest had a gothic/rocker vibe with her black shirt, pleather skirt, tights, and boots. STAFF: Friendly, approachable, and professional.

There is plenty of parking in the mall's lot. There is handicap parking, but it is in front of the next store down. There are a couple of picnic tables outside, as well as a couple tables. The tables are pretty close to the drive-through so if that will annoy you, avoid them. Inside is bright and cheerful, good space with plenty of tables for a crowd. A few of the tables seemed to be a little closer to each other than they needed to be, but they were fine. When we first decided to go here, we thought it was a small, independent store, but it is a franchise. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. There are two all gender bathrooms, cute art, and merch that includes bags of their coffee. My husband had the breakfast burrito and gave it a 7 out of 10. Apparently on the website it said it came with cream cheese, but that is an error because it did come with sour cream. He said it was good, not super fancy. It was cooked in a waffle iron so it was nice and hot. In fact I think everything here is cooked in a waffle iron. He also had a mocha which was very good and chocolatey. I had Nana's cinnamon rolls (also cooked in a waffle iron. They come either with two or with four. They are fairly small so I went with four, which ended up being about one more than I could eat.. They were good. There was a good amount of cinnamon, which is important to me, and the frosting was good. They were sweet, but not overly so. They were not very gooey, but they were good so that didn't matter. I had the "Cha Cha Latte". Which was very good. We will be back.

We opted for two of their signature drinks. They were good, a bit in the sweet side. They seem known for their mini cinnamon rolls which looked good but also very gooey and likely very sweet as well. They did have other breakfast options that looked good. It seemed it was more than a coffee shop but not quite a full meal spot if that makes sense. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking and they recently put in a small patio which will be good come warmer weather. If I lived closer or am in the area I'd probably try again but likely won't go out of my way for a repeat visit.

I was in the area and needed a spot to work from so decided to stop in for a coffee. I went early so it was pretty empty but the staff was incredibly friendly and service was fast. Aside from the cafe they have a whole space dedicated to hosting tabletop games as well as a PC set up to design and 3D print minis. There's are a few small display cases with MTG cards and some pre-painted figures and nerdy tchotchke from local makers. They also offer a ton of services around running and creating campaigns with in-house GMs provided for your group. They were actually hiring some when I went in per a note on the door.
