Highly disappointed I paid $89 for a pitcher of red sangria and it was nasty !! Overpriced for no reason!

Girls' Night out proved to be a great time @ Par 440. The live music was a great change from the norm. The singer kept the crown moving throughout dinner with a extremely diverse selection of music. I honestly had a fantastic time. The food was good, as was the serve & drinks. This is a restaurant that I can't wait to revisit; however the outside of the building was quite deceptive; I kept wondering if I was in the right place as the outside looked like a community center to me, but the inside was dimly lit and very with a full bar & comfortable seating for both large groups as well as tables for two. As for the price point, I would say it was moderately priced and the menu has something for all. The best part of the experience was definitely the music, I can see this place as a great spot for date night or just hanging out with the guys or girls. Give it a try!

The band was great. The food was good see my video. This happy place was a party. The place was packed. The wait staff worked their tails off getting through a packed house to take care of all the people.

Great location and great food. Greeted at the door and the bartenders greet you as well. Love the decor and big tables available for large groups. They have plenty of evenings offering theme night. Jazz, Latin, comedy, 80's, and so on. It's right on the greens. I would love to come back with my husband on a date night. Definitely coming back.

Lovely lunch outside with views of the golf course. Super nice waiter and delicious salads on a sunny au, wonderful!

I'm so glad I finally gave Par 440 a try! It's a little bit out of the way, since it's situated on the East Orange Golf Course, but there is plenty of parking and you don't have to be a golfer to come eat and drink! The restaurant is bright and airy, with lots of windows and patio to show off the surrounding golf course. Of course, in February it's too cold to enjoy the outdoors but I can imagine that the patio would be a wonderful place to enjoy cocktails during the warmer months. The food is fantastic. I ordered the (boneless) beef short ribs and they were super flavorful, savory and tender. The portion was very generous and it's served with creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus (I subbed broccoli). My dinner companion opted for the veal milanese and it was also fantastic. The veal was thinly pounded, perfectly fried and topped with a generous helping of arugula, tomatoes and cheese. I highly recommend this place! It's casual enough for a fun outing with the family and could also be a great date destination.

Great local bar/ lounge! Delicious food, great vibe! And Richie Balin, entertainer, was AMAZING!!

Food may not be sent back, and prices may change without notice?!?!?!?

Ordered the pulled pork sliders; they tasted ok but it was a tiny portion (two small sliders) for an entree with entree prices. Menu (see my photos) has lots of customer unfriendly messages: - no separate checks - entrees may not be sent back - prices may change at any time and without notice. (Is this even legal?) What happened to "the customer is always right?"

Used to grab drinks here back in the day when it was Fore Seasons. Get it? FORE Seasons because it's adjacent to a golf course. Well, the name changed and so did the pun but the big difference is just about everything else. Walked in the other night expecting to see a small reboot of its former self but boy was I wrong. They really outdid themselves because what used to be a small restaurant with a dinky little bar has metamorphosed into something pretty damn awesome, especially when it's so damn close. Bar area was huge, inviting and comfortable with a fairly cavernous restaurant that's decorated almost lavishly. Service and food was also right on point as was just about everything else. They also had a singer which I thought added just the right touch to an already outstanding evening. If you're in the greater Livingston, Orange, Short Hills area and your old haunts have become played out (ahem McLoone's) might I suggest a refreshing change. Give Par 440 a shot. I think you'll be glad you did. Kudos.

Cardholders of any United Airlines co-branded MileagePlus credit card from Chase and up to 2 guests can can enter for free (no boarding pass necessary). Complimentary amenities for all visitors include complimentary K-cup drinks (mostly coffee but vary by week), cookies/brownies/scones/muffins, bagged potato chips, Granny Smith apples, chilled canned soda, flat-screen wall-mounted TV's, cafe and sofa seating, bag & coat check, wi-fi, charging stations, two unisex restrooms, and gift-wrapping (for cardholders only). If you've ever been inside an actual United Club or any airport lounge, you'll realize immediately that this place is nothing like an actual airport lounge. There's no booze, no real food besides pastries, and during the evening--no peace or quiet. Parents with ill-behaved children, rowdy mall shoppers with no common courtesy, and people who have never used a Keurig machine can all be found in what might otherwise be a tranquil, stress-free, and exclusive oasis in the chaotic wasteland of holiday mall shopping. No, the real gem of this Chase-United VIP Lounge is one of the weekly promotions that falls on the first three Tuesdays in December: for every new unwrapped toy (max. 2) valued at $15 or more, Chase-United will fork over one United Club One-Time Pass, valid for 12-14 months from date of issuance and good for entry at a REAL United Club (with boarding pass)--which has a $50 face value (if you don't already have a United MileagePlus® Club card). Besides Toys-for-Tots Tuesdays, the lounge also has other promotions and giveaways on other days of the week (subject to change each year): local bakery eats on Mondays, MileagePlus X Wednesdays, Cardmember Appreciation on Thursdays (I got a small Chase-United clamshell case with headphones that are complete rubbish), and Football Sundays. In extending additional privileges beyond travel experiences to cardholders, the Chase-United partnership hopes that Chase-United cardholders will have a more positive opinion of cardmember benefits and will be more likely to use the card for purchases. In spite of servicing "customers" who don't pay a dime to get in, the lounge employees who are contracted to greet visitors, wrap gifts, serve donuts, and sweep up trash for a month are surprisingly cordial and professional--at least more so than some actual United Club lounge employees. This year has been full of changes for United Airlines, so it's no surprise that this year's VIP lounge experience reflects some of the upgrades in United's new approach to customer service.

Just make sure to get stamped if you're waiting for friends just head in get stamped and then leave so that way you don't have to wind up paying. I will say the drinks are pricey, however. I got four shots and it came out to about 60 bucks total. I also got a shot from the woman walking around with the tubes. Normally those are flavored, here it was not and it was $10. So I wanna say a shot itself averages between 10 and 15. The music varied. I will say that. There's two different rooms so we did not have access to one of the rooms but that room had cars with blasting speakers playing solo Reggaeton music. I think it was Spanish night in general because most of the music played in the main area was Hispanic as well. Though I will say there were a couple random oldies as well as Soca music thrown in. The main dance floor is uncovered pool and it makes me wonder if the place used to be a swimming area or if that's just part of the aesthetic. Overall, it was a good time. I'd like to come on a night in which it's not themed to potentially and maybe cheaper drinks would be better. If you want hookah, it's like 60 bucks too, and I know some that might not seem too expensive, but as someone who lives in Brooklyn. If it cost more than I would do in Manhattan, in a place like jersey, to me it's like wow.

My wife and I stopped in after meeting my Corvette club for the weekly cruise night in Somerville -- it was the perfect way to cap the evening. We started with the grilled octopus and the crispy calamari. Both were excellent. The calamari is very light. When I used to frequent the lounge on Fridays and Saturdays, if I hadn't had dinner, the calamari hit the spot. The octopus had a good char on it and was tender throughout. For entrees, my wife had the seared ahi tuna special and I went with the pan seared duck breast. Her tuna was cooked perfectly - rare. The duck was well seared on the outside with just the right amount of pink inside. Portions were the right size -- filling without being excessive, which left just enough room to share the chocolate ganache dessert. We finished with a cappuccino for my wife and a double espresso for me. Verve is a French bistro on East Main Street with a serious cocktail and wine program. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive all night. After 20+ years, it's still one of the best restaurants in Somerset County. Don't skip the specials.

I have a thing for tuna so when I see it on the menu, I definitely have to order it. I got it medium originally. I enjoyed it, but I sent it back to be cooked well which was even better. That was so cool. It was an option. My waiter was Frank. He let me know. I could send it back to get cooked more. My Bestie ordered the mushroom raviolis. I'm not really a mushroom fan, but the ravioli was awesome. So if you want to try mushroom differently, I do recommend this dish. Noni's chicken was basically smothered chicken, mashed potatoes and spinach. I'm Jamaican so that was a good spin on what I'm used to which is my stew chicken. I'm surprised how crispy and tasty the chicken wings were. I honestly expected them to be messed up, but that's the best part about going to new restaurants you have to be open to surprises. Shawn, I'm not sure if he's the manager most likely is he came around and said hello just to make sure we were enjoying our time. We definitely want to make this spot more of a regular spot for us. We truly enjoyed it. Everything came up to like $200. It's also a train station so in the back it's the restaurant but you can see that during the day it's a functioning train station. I thought that was so cool. When we left the restaurant and got to our car, a train was riding by so it just gives a very good "movie feel".
