All inclusive options and beach toys available as well. Roger y Luis made it very enjoyable and comfortable for us the second we stepped onto the property, accommodating our every need. I'm awarding four stars to the facility and waitstaff for their prompt greeting upon our arrival, smooth check-in process, and informative tour. Our waiter provided exceptional service, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, I must deduct a star due to a disappointing massage experience that I was given onsite at their beach. Despite being Hispanic, I was subjected to derogatory remarks from the masseuse, assuming I didn't speak Spanish due to my light skin. I look Caucasian, which is why no one should ever assume someone's ethnicity or language they speak. It's ignorant to assume. She called me a bastard for getting a massage with sunscreen on, even though they literally walk out to those on the beach and advertise their services. This unprofessional behavior marred an otherwise enjoyable visit. Management should address this issue promptly to ensure all patrons feel respected and valued, by telling their employees not to talk bad about their patrons assuming they don't speak Spanish. While my family plans to return, we'll be avoiding the massage services to prevent a recurrence of such unpleasant encounters by possibly being serviced by this older lady who likes to talk about people. I guess the owner didn't want approve my post on google reviews, so it's not showing up. On the surface this looks like a nice facility. Nice pool with tables and places to lounge and relax. But you can't rinse off after the pool because none of their poolside showers work. Expensive drinks - double the cost of places in town. The food is even more expensive. Taco salad for $13 (lettuce, tomato & avocado chunks - 260 pesos?) That's a full meal in most restaurants in town. They're screwing the cruise ship folks who simply don't know any better or don't care... Personally, I'll avoid this place in the future... read more

Went to Paradise Beach for the first time. Easy to get to from cruise ship. Price per cab for up to 4 people was $15 each way. We were 2 people and found 2 others to split fare with. We pre-booked online for a daybed. Great idea and great daybed! Great pool, daybed number 10 was in a great location, near pool, bathrooms/changing rooms and close enough to beach too. Sadly, the service was lacking in our opinion. We didn't seem to have a dedicated waiter/bar person. We noticed that the large, rowdy, party groups of people received a lot of staff attention. My assumption is that they assumed they'd get a big tip. Sadly, had we received excellent service we would have tipped very well. The food we did receive was good, nothing stellar. I'd have loved to get more chips and guacamole but I couldn't find any wait staff to ask. We'd go again and hope we get better service. If not, that'd be a reason for us to not return. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I will start with the pros. The price of $118 was pretty good for all inclusive for two people. It wasn't over crowded so we were able to start at the beach and then make our way to the pool without having to hunt for seats. The drinks were fairly strong/good. The food was ok but below average. Now on to the cons. Upon arrival, the cashier was nice but we noticed everyone else's waiter greeted them at the register, walked them down to the beach area and showed them around. We had to figure it out on our own. When we finally found a spot we liked we were asked to move which made no sense at all to me, seeing as two seconds later another couple came and sat in the seats we originally sat in. We waited a good 15 minutes before anyone greeted us which irritated me. We finally got a waiter but were so annoyed we ate drank and decided to move to the pool. Only then did the concern of the waiters kick in. "Oh you're leaving?"...yes! The pool area was a lot better ONLY because of the other cruisers we met and chatted with. To me the staff catered to people based on the tip they thought they would get which is a big mistake when it comes to us. We love and take pride in tipping good but when the service is garbage you get the minimum percentage to split amongst each other since you made the assumption that you weren't getting tipped good in the first place. Aside from the crappy service, the beach itself was garbage as well. I'm not sure if it stormed prior to our arrival but the water was brown, you'd have to swim out further to get to nice water. We ended up enjoying ourselves because we made the best out of a non refundable situation. read more

Cost us $40 for taxi from far cruise terminal (8 people, so we had to do van). The ride is about 20 minutes. The resort is really nice! $3 cover and optional $18 for activities. We opted for the cover and used the amazing pool. The Fajitas were good and so were the burgers. read more

We took a Carnival cruise here and my SIL & brother had been here and said they had a good time with all the inflatable obstacles they had in the water so we were pretty excited to go. We took a taxi there- only $5 a person, there's a bunch of taxis waiting for everyone getting off the ship. It's a short drive, about 10/15 min depending on your driver and local traffic. We were the first ones there so we had to wait about an hour and 1/2 or so for the place to start to open. We had a designated waiter and assistant that were very attentive and would bring anything you ordered to you. Unfortunately it was too windy for them to put the inflatables in the water so we missed out on that experience. The water was beautiful and you could walk down the dock to the covered area at the end and jump in- there were ladders to climb back up. It was sooo chilly down by the water but if you went up to the pool area it was an entirety different climate- hot and sunny just like you would expect for a day in Mexico! There's a bar in that area too- I honestly preferred that area over the beach- mostly for the temperature:) There was a massage tent and also a henna set up too. Bathrooms were clean but they have signs asking that you do not flush ANY toilet paper but to throw it in the trash can in your stall- I have a little bit of a germ thing so I was all weirded out! I can't comment on the inflatable fun but I can say that if you intend on snorkeling BRING YOUR OWN! They charged $20 each for the goggles, the vest, and the flippers so you'd end up spending $60 to use them for the day. read more

We got to Cozumel on our cruise with no plans at all. My husband walked into the cab line so I told him we'd need to decide where we were going. The cab driver recommended mr sanchos or paradise beach. I'd done Mr sanchos so we chose paradise beach. it was $50 per person and they were handing us margaritas at the entrance. We were given a personal server (and partner) for the day. He took us to our chairs and asked what we'd like to drink. he recommended passionfruit mojitos. They were delicious! He brought us chips and salsa and guac. Also delicious. We snacked and went into the gorgeous water. After swimming a bit we were hungry so we got some shrimp tacos and a burrito. All of the food was very good and our water just brought drink after drink and bottles of water. We were getting ready to go so I let him know and handed him a tip. he asked if we'd like water to go. we did. So the partner brought water, had us sign the form signing out and suggested a tip for service. we let him now we'd already tipped the partner .. (so my suggestion is plan on dividing as i'm not sure they share evenly?) I'll add pics later, but this was the best place we've gone in Cozumel. Also the vendors can't come to your chair . they have a tent and cant go away from it to try to sell you things, you have to go to them read more

The beach is just okay. The water does look like lake water as someone else previously reviewed on here. The food and drinks are good. I'm giving 2 stars because our server/waiter had an attitude if you weren't throwing money at him for every drink he brought. I understand "tips aren't included" at all-inclusive resorts, and they have no shame letting you know either. They actually tell you to your face "tips aren't included." Such a turn off as I tend to tip at the end of any service, as it's not convenient for me to be digging in my purse every 20 mins while trying to relax and enjoy my vacation. I have been to Cozumel via a cruise six times and this is my favorite location/beach. It is clean, calm and very close to the port. There are water toys but they are placed away from the beach, so they aren't a distraction if you're wanting to relax on a lounger. The loungers are plentiful, despite the fact that are several ships at port on an average day in Cozumel. Hopefully this place doesn't catch on ;) The drinks are very weak...so buy a few sample shots at the port and pour them into the drinks, they'll need it. read more

We have visited many times over the years, whenever the cruise ship makes port in Cozumel. We prefer the ala carte service over the all-inclusive beaches for day trips - especially for families with kids. The food is good - Shrimp Pizza and fresh Guacamole are favorites. And the margaritas go down easy. There are plenty of water toys for kids / teens / young adults to take advantage of - for the price of a wristband (currently $18). If you just want to sit in your lounge chair, it's a minimal $3 cover. It's a very popular place - particularly when the cruise ships are in port... but usually not a problem getting chairs and having a great time! Bring the sunscreen and the credit card and enjoy! One warning - do not enter the water from the beach. There are big rocks right where the waves break that will tear up your feet. Enter from the pier and you will be fine. This place was great to us. After booking with a not so great or very honest place we landed here. They treated us like family and it was very inexpensive. My kids had a. Last the drinks were great and very cold. They had clean facilities and even took care of us when the storm came in. Will for sure come back in the future. We visited when our cruise stopped in Cozumel, I would have given it a 5 stars....even thou the drinks were a little watered down but we enjoyed the pool so much and the beach area was nice, unfortunately back in the states I noticed a $15 dollars up charge in my bank statement, so I called my bank and asked if that was an international fee, they assured me it wasn't because the charge was generated in dollars. Well they offered to dispute the amount. But honestly that was not a nice surprise as I had already tipped the server and actually a really good tip. Beware of this! read more

First of all if your getting off a cruise ship, go here on your own and do not buy the ship excursion. $21 by cab to come here (5 passengers), $3 for entry and an optional $18 to use water toys(kayak, paddle board) and water slides/ bounce. Great for kids. Service is great. Pool is huge and warm. A lot of shade in the beach - under palm trees. Beautiful sand. Excellent food!!! We got the burritos, nachos, mahi-mahi and tacos. Huge portions and very delicious. All in all, very relaxing excursion while devouring authentic Mexican food. Knocked of 1 star because some sections of the beach are very rocky. Paradise is a beautiful beach and pool facility in Cozumel. It's about a $15 taxi ride from downtown (where NCL docks) which I believe is the farthest pier. For crew members, access to the grounds is free (score!) but even for tourists it's only $3. It's an extra $15 if you want to use the water activities (slides, trampoline, kayaks, etc)- but only $7 for crew members. Even during busy times, there seems to be plenty of seating by the pool and on the beach. The food and drinks are surprisingly not super overpriced and service is pretty fast. Upon selecting a chair, a server greets you right away with a menu. My favorite part was being able to put the lounge chairs on a platform in the pool :) Also WIFI is free yay! read more

We arrived here because we overheard a couple talking about this place while on our cruise. Once we ported in Cozumel we took a cab for $15 USD to and from the beach. paradise beach prices run from $3 USD to $40 USD if you want the full package food drinks water toys etc. the pool was our favorite, located right next to a bar and multi leveled for extreme relaxation.. Also free wifi! It's a weak connection but it's free. The drinks weren't that strong so we opted for shots and beer. The snorkeling along the dock/pier was beautiful, be careful not to get too close to the reef and rocks the guards will warn you. This was our favorite destination! read more

I have visited Paradise Beach two times and would visit a million times more! The last time I went (last week) they had a new package which was an all inclusive package. This included all you can eat (you order of the menu), all you can drink, use of beach chairs, ocean trampolines, and pool. I was given two servers that I was allowed to order from Raul and Jesus. I liked that the waitstaff were around if we needed anything but didn't pressure us. We had just filled up on an amazing meal in town and just weren't hungry. Paradise Beach is the perfect name. We spent the whole day there and rented cabanas. If you get a chance to get Francisco or Domingo, you will be in excellent hands. The drinks were flowing, the food was delicious and the views were breathtaking. Kids enjoyed all the beach had to offer while the adults lounged in the pool. This place is a Cozumel tourist trap beach. It's pretty far from the downtown San Miguel area. Cab ride mysteriously costs more going back to the hotel. (Always ask what the price for your trip is before you get in; we have found this to be somewhat negotiable.) Caters to the cruise ship crowds. Chairs are packed in and not comfortable; only inches off of the ground. Lots of cigarette butts, paper, debris, food, and sand fleas in the sand. (The sand itself is hauled in and is coarse commerial grade. Go to other side of island for beautiful Caribbean sand beaches.) The water was warm but really churned up with sea grass and gross stuff due to all the kids and ppl playing in the wading area. Farther out it was nicer with less sea debris. Waited 40 minutes for service. Charged three dollars for chair rental, which would've been fine if the the place was kept up. But in spite of numerous staff servicing the area, there were dirty plates/napkins/cups everywhere... even long after guests had paid and left. The food was good and inexpensive; didn't take long once we actually had service. The drinks are super expensive, even sodas. Stingy on the ice. Speaking of that, there was a 10$ per person minimum, very reasonable if tacky. With the prices of the beverages, you reach your 10$ after one or two. The thing that really irritated us was the way they cheated you on the bill with the exchange rate. I'm sure when it's cruise ship visitors on a time limit and not having pesos, who maybe aren't staying in Mexico and are less aware of the exchange rate, their little scam goes unnoticed or just let go. But we have been staying here on the island, so it was bullshit to us. Also they expected a certain percentage for gratuity "that wasn't included" on the bill. That also would've been fine except the service was crap. In fact, when we rented our chairs, the guy never came back with our change from 100 pesos; we had to get a supervisor for that and aldo the food service. The children we saw loved the place. Awesome floats and toys. Kept them well occupied. No life guards. Did not try the very large pool. The place was nicely landscaped but the staff were uninterested in the guests to the point of rudeness. Almost no one smiled at us. Tip: skip this dump, save the money and use it to get to a better beach! read more

Only one word for this place. AWESOME! Fantastic service, huge pool, nice open feel and a fun water park. You get to use the paddle boards and kayaks all you want. Everything is included expect food and drink. Get the big yard sized drink and get refills all day for just $11! My kids had smoothies in them all day and I had a couple different kind of cocktails. The food here is really high quality. I was surprised by this being a beach club, but chicken strips are hand breaded and huge! They were delicious and I'm not even a fan of chicken strips. We shared the volcano nachos too which were delicious and HUGE! Must share those. We've been to multiple beach clubs now in Playa and Cozumel but this one is by far our favorite! read more

I first tried this beach resort back in November 2014 and absolutely love it. The water was nice and clear and the bottom of the ocean wasn't that bad to step on either once the employees there tells you to go to the other side to avoid the rocky parts. There were moonwalks everywhere for your water activities. When you first walk into the "resort", you have the option of paying $3 to make use of their free WIFI, pool, facilities, beach chairs and umbrellas. However, you need to spend $10 worth of foods there...which isn't that bad. They do they credit cards. If you want to make use of the water activities, it'll be $15. I went back again 2 weeks ago for 4th of July and the beach had changed dramatically. I even had to pull out my photos from the last time to compare to this time. The employees there explained that there was a storm the day before. Well, the water was very murky, dirty, and the moment you stepped into the beach waters, it feels as if you're stepping into mud...literally. I couldn't take it anymore after 20 mins and went straight to the pool area for the remainder of my stay. I truly regretted not trying out the other resorts. My siblings had went to the Maya Ruins and their cab driver stated that the good beaches are further down south. The next time I visit, I will definitely try somewhere else. One other thing...I wish they would make this place a non-smoking resort or at least have a separate area for smokers. This is a nice beach to lounge and relax at. It is 2$ per person to rent a lounge chair on the beach (get a wristband) but you also need to get 10$ food credit per person, if you don't use it, they give it back when you leave. We were confused when the worker was explaining this to us and when we asked for clarification he was very rude and seemed annoyed that we asked. Could hire some nicer workers. We used our 20$ towards food though. We got the nachos and chicken fingers. It tasted like something you would get from a place like this, nothing special, very bland, and skimpy. The beach itself is nice. Lots of shade from the palm trees. We tried snorkeling but there is not much to see here, a couple starfish & a stingray is all we saw. The pool is also a great amenity. Port stop for a Carnival Victory cruise for us. We decided on this beach based on the positive reviews. However, didn't have a good experience. Don't get me wrong. The facility was nice. Beautiful beach. Chairs were available and adequate. Pool was nice. Even restroom/changing area was nice. But then no one served us! We must've flagged so many waiters down. They would say they would return and then never did. But kept serving the people around us. My only conclusion is they didn't serve us because we looked like the locals or the cruiseline workers and thought we lacked funds. I heard this happens often, and well, I can't think of any other reason. That ruined it. We got hungry and left early. read more

Very nice beach away from the high tourist traffic. The beach was not as clear as I imagined it would be but the inflatable slides on the beach are fun. I paid $18 for the day for the resort. We were told we had to spend a minimum of $10 a person while we stayed. We were first sat at the beach on loungers. No waiter had attended to my family so we relocated to the pool. The pool is what made it a four star. Comfortable temperature and the water was not over kill on the chlorine. It was a beautiful pool and loungers were inside the pool as well. The food was ok. Not really the Mexican food I had in mind. The drinks were good. Food was a little pricey but I would go back for the pool and drinks. read more

Hmm, where to start. I guess I'll walk you through my experience. We walked in and it looked very beautiful. It has a very nice pool with bar. Then you go past that to the beach which is small and almost filled entirely lounge chairs. Rows of them. The water itself was crowded with inflatables. We went to the restaurant and despite being half full the service was horrible and slow. We ordered chips and salsa, waited 20 minutes and had to ask 3 times before we got it. And forget about drinks. After waiting forever I went to find my waiter and asked him for my beer. He then punched something into the computer and walked away without saying a word. So I ordered my own at the bar. When food finally started to arrive, it came 1 plate at a time. "but how was the food" you ask? I ordered 3 hardshell beef tacos, paid $11.25 (US dollars) for them received the worst tacos I've ever had. They were filled with beans and hardly any beef. They did come with a side though, a 2 ounce cup of dry rice. Cocktails were sugary, 8 oz and cost $12-14. In summary, way overpriced, horrible service, terrible food and small drinks. Seriously, food wise this place makes Taco Bell look authentic. The resort is beautiful. Nice and clean but in general, skip this place. read more

Great beach and pool! The staff is very attentive and friendly! We enjoyed the beach chairs in the shade under the palm trees. Other family with us sat in the beach chairs near the water, with umbrellas, or the hammocks. They also have a beautiful pool with chairs IN the pool! How awesome is that! Bathrooms were clean, changing areas are available. Family ordered mixed drinks, sodas, water, nachos (huge - enough for two) and pepperoni pizza. All were very good! Waiters ran a tab for us. We paid $3 entry fee, but $18 was available if you want to kayak, waterboard or play on the floating play area. A nice relaxing day for the family! And only a 10 minute ride from the port. read more

We were staying in Playa and decided to take the ferry to Cozumel and rent a jeep for the day. Having done no research in advance, we had to take recommendations as they came from the locals. This is one of the places we were told about so we stopped here. We arrived around 3 p.m. and it appeared a lot of the cruise ship people were leaving. It appeared they were there for a while given their state of "happiness." The good: lots of parking (if you are driving yourself), very nice pool area and large pool though little shade, nice facilities, nice layout, nice sandy beach area with plenty of activities available. Attentive staff. The bad: $3 per person to sit down plus told to spend a minimum of $10 on drinks. Well that is very easy to do as the frozen drink is something like $14.50. Beers were $4.50 and up each. Food was priced like a typical chain restaurant in the U.S. Not what we typically find for good food in Mexico. In addition, they have a bunch of water toys/slides, but that is $18 per person to use. They wanted this amount even though it was 3 p.m., people were leaving and they started taking these out of the water about an hour later. So this is not your inexpensive mexican beach day. It appears they have other activities which is more yet. Needless to say, you could be $20 per person before you ever have a drink or any food. If that is your thing, then perhaps this is the place for you. Going into the water on the beach we were confronted with some huge boulder type rocks. There were other areas that were sandy. Not optimal but can be managed once you realize what you are dealing with. We did not eat here so I have no comment there. If you go here, just establish your expectations on what you could pay. For us, it felt like one of those places that caters to the cruise shippers who have a few hours and want a beach club close to port with little concern otherwise. For us, we like to find beach bars and clubs that price things like you are in Mexico. read more

Great beach getaway. do not book with the cruise. cab ride was 29 and ut was bout 20 bucks a person to indulge in all the club has to offer. the pool is huge and very pretty with a swim up bar. the beach includes, snorkeling pier, hammocks, kayaks, water toys/trampolines, beach chairs, hair braiding, and massages!!!! Jet skis, food, drinks and more are additional prices... my wife and i enjoyed hours of beach fun and left a few hours early to get back to the shopping by the pier and made it on the boat early. Just went again last week and will return in the Spring. Beautiful location. And only $3. We had chairs, umbrellas, and fast, friendly, reasonably-priced and actually GOOD food and drinks. They let you run a tab and pay with credit card which is handy on a cruise. We don't take the kids, so the inflatables are not even a consideration, although I would agree that $18 is not worth it. My wife discovered the pool and the fact that the lounge chairs can sit in 9" of water, which to her was HEAVEN! Absolutely a best-buy, best-find in cruise ship destinations. Clean, safe, cheap, minutes from the ship. Skip the excursions and keep walking until you reach the taxi stand. Don't let them steer you to a more expensive all-inclusive (unless that is what you are after). Showers and changing rooms are also clean and well maintained.
