We took a girls cruise through Carnival Cruise line and ported for one day in Cozumel. We are all in our late twenties and wanted a beach that wasn't jam packed with kids or wild and crazy. Paradise Beach was absolutely perfect. Getting a cab to the beach was extremely easy as they had at least 10 waiting at the port area for passengers. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately by a friendly staff member when showed us around and gave us all the details. We opted for the fun pass, ordered some tequila shots, and then the staff helped us find empty chairs on the beach. The water was beautiful and the inflatables were so much fun. After we were worn out we headed to the pool area and easily found available chairs. We parked ourselves there for the rest of the afternoon and we're able to order food and drinks while we swam/laid out. When it was time to leave (we were super sad to go) a few taxis were waiting out front for guests to take us back to port. We visited this beach when our cruise stopped in Cozumel after reading reviews about the snorkeling. We were one of the first ones to arrive at the beach which was perfect! It was a $15 cab ride one way...average from what I gathered. It cost us $3 a person to be able to use the beach but that also gave us access to use the pool area. Drinks were good and priced well. We had tacos from a taco truck parked on the beach and it was delicious. The snorkeling, if you're into that, was great right off their pier. We saw baracudas, schools of various fish, small coral and I was lucky enough to spot a flounder! A group saw starfish but we weren't lucky enough. The beach does get crowded as the day goes on, but nothing unbearable. We arrived at about 9am and stayed just as the crowd was swarming in around 1. For 4 cruises docking in Cozumel that day, I have to say this beach seemed less crowded than others. Its not listed on the map that they hand out at the port yet which helps keep the crowds down. They had water toy inflatables for those with kids, it was an additional $18 but we'll worth it if you're traveling with young ones. The beach was clean and the water was clear. One small down side is that the water gets rocky in areas because of the coral so it's hard for people who just want to swim but perfect for those who want to snorkel. Bring your own gear if you have it so you don't have to pay $10 to rent it. A set at Wal-Mart costs about $12. read more

Paradise beach resort was average at best. It has a nice pool, half decent beach, terrible service from servers and pretty murky water. The sand looked a bit like construction sand and quite possibly was. The loungers were free to use and layers about 6 rows deep on the sand and then around the pool area. There were inflatables in the shallow beach water area which kids and drunks were playing on. There were a few different groups of people around us who were all comparing how much they paid to get it. It appears quite a few people were ripped off. We paid the minimal entrance fee which was about $8-$10 we got a wrist band on. The towels were $25 to rent, the parasols were extortionate, tall drinks were $13 and beers $5 (which was ironic because on the street coronas were $1 - cheaper than water). We didn't order any of the food because we ate before we got there, but believe me it was pricy. We ended up staying around the pool, but honestly I've been to better pools in apartment community's here in Florida so it wouldn't justify some of the prices people paid to get in. Highlight of this resort for me was the bathrooms. They were honestly the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in. There was a little lady in there following behind people with a mop. The bathrooms were cleaner than the beach by far, for that I gave the lady a nice tip and a huge gracias in my appalling attempt at Spanish. read more

Was on a cruise trying to find a nice place to relax - adult beverages and relaxing water for the adults; plenty of things to do for our teenage lads. This fit the bill. Don't know how this place received 4 $'s as it wasn't that expensive. Oh that may reflect a cruise excursion price. $16 cab ride from / to cruise terminal. $3 cover for adults and, I believe, $21 for the kiddos that gave snorkeling gear and access to the water based bouncy castle stuff, etc. in the ocean. Drinks and food were reasonable. If you want any measurable alcohol in ur fruity drink you need to make sure it's hand crafted at the mojito stand and not the bar at the pool. Had the jalapeno margarita and the habenaro mango margarita. Both were excellent. Lads had a gr8 time in the ocean. No need to buy this as a cruise tour. Easy to do on your own for far less. read more

All we wanted to do was snorkel. It's says $3 online for beach and pool access. U pay the $3, then they want you to spend $10 at the bar before you leave. Would be willing to do that, but drinks are $14?!! Theres not a designated area for snorkeling. This is basically a resort without a hotel room - not what we were looking for. read more

We stayed at Cozumel Palace for Spring Break 2016, and rather than buy the excursions that were being pushed by the hotel, we found our own snorkeling tour on Fury Catamaran Tours that picks up from Paradise Beach. Although, we spent the day on the catamaran tour, we had some time to spend on the beach, and this place is fantastic for a day trip. Paradise beach offers snorkeling, Parasailing, Jet Ski rentals, water obstacle course, beach and pool bars, as well as restaurants. Avoid all the upsell excursions at the hotels, and get a ~$14 cab ride to Paradise Beach...you will be glad you did. read more

ARE YOU KIDDING??? What's not to like?!? ONLY 4 STARS!?! Pool is huge and immaculate, food is awesome, cost only $3 per to get in as long as you spend at least $10 per on food and drink before you leave (NEVER A PROBLEM!!!), the pool is mere feet from a beautiful beach, security is top notch, the grounds are EXTREMELY well kept, the bathrooms are CLEAN!!!! ... and there is very low traffic of people trying to sell you stuff on the beach (NEVER at the pool). It is all BEAUTIFUL and top-notch. Eat your nachos and drink your drink IN THE POOL on chairs just inches above the surface. I say FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!! I don't know why anybody would want to go to the Paradise Beach. Think of a large cheap public beach with bad food. Food reminds me of an all night fast food taco spot at four times the price. Then the taxis have you cornered because you have to get back to your hotel and it's too far to walk. So a five minute taxi ride cost us $12. read more

A great find in Cozumel where you can relax and enjoy some great fun, food and cocktails. We visited Paradise Beach on a recent cruise stop looking for a place to enjoy the beach with kids and adults. The $3 price of admission is a steal. This gets you access to a beach chair, a lovely pool and access to the water. For an additional $28, you'll be able to use the water inflatables ( super fun) as well as water toys including paddle boards, kayaks, etc. the snorkeling is also a blast off the private pier. You'll never have to move from your beach lounger as you are attended to by a waiter that will cater drinks and food. And the food is delicious!!!! What a great find! read more

Clean up the water. The water is so dirty, you can't even see a foot in front of you. Want to do an overpriced waverunner? You have to pay cash, no credit cards accepted! And lastly the food is just awful, which they force you to order. Who would think you couldn't get a decent taco in Mexico? This is our favorite beach side bar/pool resort so far. The prices for food and drinks are fair, the wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is absolutely beautiful. The pool is well kept and clean and steps away from a white sandy beach where you can either relax in lounge chairs or a hammock. You pay a small fee to have bar service and you also have the option to purchase a day pass for the outdoor "waterpark" activities. The only thing that's missing is a swim up bar. Additionally, they close fairly early (we were here on a Saturday and they made last call for food and drinks just before 5pm). Had they stayed open longer, we would have spent much more time here. read more

My boyfriend and I are not ones for Buffetts. However paradise beach all inclusive package is the ultimate day of relaxation.

Paradise is a good beach and can be very crowded since this is a popular go spot for cruise ship attendees on port calls to Cozumel. Their a la carte service is a plus. Kids are plentiful here so be warned. I prefer a a tiny quiet beach called Aquarium Beach Club which is $15 cab ride from the port with excellent service and great margaritas. read more

Visited with wife and 2 kids (6 and 4) where we bought the fun pass for all of us. Water inflatables were fun and my athletic 6 yr old was able to do everything. My 4 yr old was limited to the ones near the beach. The water was rocky (coral) and very cloudy. Snorkeling was horrible from the beach. The water did get clearer further out, however you then had to then constantly wave to jet skis so you wouldn't end up smushed. For food, we ordered a cheese quesadilla, french fries and nachos/guacamole. We were told 20 min later they ran out of nachos (yes, in Mexico). This was a little confusing as I noticed others being served other nacho dishes. The drink we ordered were expensive and horrible. Is it too much to expect a decent margarita in MEXICO? I am not a total margarita snob, but I know I expect better than Cuervo and mix. I am not saying they used Cuervo or mix...but whatever they did did not taste better. We tried margaritas both on the rocks and frozen. On the good side, I just switched to drinking Sols and the kids enjoyed their virgin strawberry daiquiris. Also on the good side, the help was polite. My wife and I have done other beach resorts in Mexico (all all-inclusive) and expected much better for a resort with as many good reviews as this resort has. read more

This a nice beach on Cozumel. The club leaves a little to be desired, as the food is "tourist-friendly" (read: bland and unexciting by local Mexican standards) and the cocktails are mediocre. Still, the beach itself is a great place to lounge with a chilled lager read more

I thought this was a great all-inclusive beach resort for us on our port day from the cruise we were on. The place was pretty far from the port and cost about $20 to get there with the cab but once we got there it was worth it with how beautiful the beach and facility was. We didn't get the packet that had all the toys and stuff included instead just paying the $3 entry fee and easily hitting the $10 bar spend needed. The water was nice even though a lot of sea weed seemed to be there but they had 3 guys constantly working to clear it which was nice. Also the servers were amazing as they would run to get your orders to you sooner and always ask if you wanted a re-fill. The pool area and bathrooms were great although throwing away toilet paper instead of flushing it was strange. The food portions were pretty large for the price and all in all I would recommend but do realize that it will cost a decent amount if you want to play on the water toys as well as use any of the equipment which we didn't. read more

Paradise Beach came recommended by one of our hotel staff, so we took a chance and planned to spend a day there. Upon arrival, it was clear that this place is not about relaxation but spending money. There were tons of people and the beach chairs could not be closer to each other, the entire beach was overcrowded with chairs! By the way, they do not come free, we had to pay for each person using a chair. The pool was not clean, the water was far from clear. Drinks and food were good but incredibly expensive for a beach club in Cozumel. We left shortly after lunch. read more

The service was great for the people around us. The staff were really attentive to them and the food looked good. But...they completely ignored my sister and me. They would walk away if i tried to flag them down and one server just told me that they were not my sever, but would not help me find out who was. The people around me looked like your typical American and European tourist. From my picture, you can probably tell I look more like a cruise crew member even though I wasn't. This was a nice beach with inflatables in the water, which was a great concept. My children and I arrived and scoured for lounge chairs on the VERY crowded beach, which was no biggie, we came on a cruise and I expected it to be busy because this was an excursion location. We were able to find a couple and I attempted to get assistance so my children could go enjoy the water toys while I lounged with an adult beverage. It didn't happen. The waiters ignored us repeatedly, wouldn't set up the umbrella for me, wouldn't even stop for a minute to sell me the wrist bands required to be on the beach. They were too busy running behind everyone else and I guess they didn't perceive me as being someone who was going to spend a lot of money on food and drinks, which is clearly where they make their money since the wristbands are only $3 and the food drink minimum is only $10 per person. I spent the next 30 minutes being ignored or told just a minute until I finally just sent my girls into the water without the wristbands instead of making them wait while I received the cold shoulder. I even had one of the guys who told me he'd help me in a minute head in my direction, only to be stopped a few feet away by someone else asking for a check. Instead of taking my order and grabbing the check when he went to put in my order, he told me wait again while he went to fetch the check for the other gentleman. O_o. After that, no one even acknowledged me for another 45 minutes or so, well after I had gone to the bar to get my own drink. Finally after about an hour and a half, a guy happens to walk by, looks at my wrist, and says, "Oh, do you have a wristband? " As I attmepted to voice my displeasure at the service I had received, or lack of, he began to argue with me that the guy was going to come help me with the umbrella, but it was really busy, and when I told him how long I had been waiting he said, "Pay me, don't pay me, but you need a wristband". So I left, and took them parasailing instead. Idiots. I will NEVER go to this crap establishment again, and will tell everyone I possibly can about their HORRIBLE service. Right next door was a free beach, and the service was way more friendly. That is where we spent the remainder of our time after parasailing. This place sucks!!! read more

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD!!! I am from the United States and visited this location as one of our stops on my cruise. My wallet was stolen which included my ID, phone, keys, money and other personal belongings! Whenever we notified the workers and management no one was any help at all! In fact they were pushing us out of the door and refusing to speak communicate with us in English (as they were speaking English the entire day to us). This completely ruined my trip as I had no means of communicating with individuals back home or the ability to purchase anything for the remainder of my time on the trip. To make matters even worse I was there on my birthday (which the staff knew). Since I'm sure no one will respond to this message that works there and there was a claim filed through authorities but I have yet to hear anything from anyone I plan on posting all over social media, internet or anywhere that I can to make people aware of out terrible this place and the people who are employed there are. I have a lot of friends who travel and I will make sure to let them know as well!!! read more

I was absolutely not impressed...the sand is made from crushed seashells and were hurtful to sensitive feet...also, it's $3 to enter the area but if you'd like some lounge chairs and an umbrella it's an additional $10...they never attempted to collect this from us, so we didn't flag them down to make sure we paid it...the food was overpriced, with bottled water being $2.75...I thought one of the draws to coming to Mexico was that your USD would stretch further?...the water was very clear and blue, but the beach had very large sections of big rocks directly off shore which made entry points into the ocean few and far between unless you wanted to go rock climbing while also swimming...we paid $30 to rent snorkel gear and had fun while doing it, but only saw a few fish and a pile of stone with an old boat engine block...my wife and I asked if there was a telephone we could use to call our bank while there and they said we needed to buy additional items and "go ask our waiter" to see if he would "let us"...truthfully, I'm surprised they weren't charging us for the air we were breathing...I am 100% confident in saying I can go on just living the rest of my life in contentment without visiting this place ever again. read more
