I always stop here for breakfast when visiting the area; their veggie sausage is fantastic, and the food is always perfectly made. My daughter got a cinnamon roll which she thought was great (and the kid really knows cinnamon rolls); I opted for an omelette this time around. read more

we ate here yesterday because I wanted gluten free pancakes and they were very good. my husband had an omelette which was also good. my only complaint is I am handicapped and utilize a service dog to walk. they insisted that I had to have a card to stay and eat with my dog. I told them this is not the law. please get up to date on ADA guidelines. Owners, managers, or staff of public spaces are permitted to ask only two questions to determine if the animal qualifies as a service animal: (1) whether the animal is required because of a disability; and (2) what work or task the animal has been trained to perform. otherwise the food is good. read more

From service to food this place was amazing. The only thing I'm upset about is I didn't find it until the end of our stay. Very busy on a Sunday and was welcomed by a friendly hostess. I sat at the bar next to a few regulars who immediately introduced themselves. I ordered an iced coffee and the bartender(owner)made me the best Americano I've ever had. I had a burrito and a side of home fries which were both delicious l. The house made salsa and the red vegetarian sauce were 2 of the best sauces I'd ever had. I took a GF blueberry pancake back for a friend who said it was delicious and gigantic. I've worked the breakfast shift in a resort town for a few years and I know how tough it is to keep a happy face. The whole staff was pleasant and it was an incredible experience. After waiting over two hours for breakfast I was hoping for something with a tad bit more taste to it. I was really excited after reading the reviews because it looked amazing. I got the Paradise potatoes and it was disgusting. The potatoes were under cooked and not seasoned at all. It tasted like they boiled it put it on the plate with some vegetables that were also lacking any seasoning, threw some cheese on top and called it good. Also after telling the server about my experience she immediately got a major attitude. I've never wrote a bad review on a restaurant and I've never sent food back to the kitchen but I guess there's a first for everything. NEVER AGAIN read more

We had a wonderful breakfast here while on our ski trip. It was very busy on a Tuesday New Years Eve morning at 9:00. But we got a table right away and the service was great. Husband had a delicious Bloody Mary and I had a mimosa. Both were good. Chocolate chip pancakes were delicious. I had a basic breakfast and was very happy. Husband had a burrito which disappeared in all of 2 minutes. Very kid friendly. Pretty quick service if you are heading out to ski after. Bus stop is close. read more

Another yummy lunch in paradise at Paradise Cafe. Crested Butte has great breakfast/lunch spots. Today I had the fish rueben, delicious dark rye, melted swiss cheese, deep fried cod and slaw, so good. My side was a cream of mushroom soup. My husband had the chicken supreme on a soft, chewy hoagie, with fries. We both loved our lunches. The breakfasts here are really good also. Service is good, atmosphere is nice, great spot to start the day or stop in for lunch. Haven't tried the bloody mary's but they look awesome. read more

This is a great spot for breakfast or lunch just off of The main drag. My husband and daughter did a few daddy daughter dates here and really enjoyed it. The staff is super nice and their food is decent. The salad I got was fresh and although our rule is usually don't get salads from a breakfast place it was really good! I had their Reuben too on one visit and that was so good. My daughter even ate half of my sandwich. We loved the freshness of the food, the friendly staff and the laid back ambiance. POC Beware My husband and I went to Crested Butte for our honeymoon. We were amped up for a fun trip! But this came to a halt when our first morning there we decided to go out for breakfast. We chose the paradise cafe. We walked in the restaurant and stood by the hostess station- for 15 min. We watched the hostess walk by us several times assuming she was just that busy even though several seats were open. You just never know with Covid-19 how close they are seating people, so we were patient. At about the 15 min mark, the hostess stated "I'll be with you in a moment" and we both said ok. She continued moving about around us without ever giving us that polite customer service smile you receive when they know you've been waiting a while. No worries! We're on our honeymoon and completely chill! My husband picked it up first, even though I've gone through it a million times. I was on my honeymoon! It wasn't until the next WHITE couple walked in behind us. They walked right up to the hostess station- where we were lingering. She immediately walked up to the hostess station, grabbed a pen (or pencil, whatever) and said "good morning, just the two of you?!" My husband politely said excuse me, and asked if there was a problem- to which he was completely ignored. He asked a few more times in multiple polite tones, with no response.. It was disgusting. The feeling of subtle yet, blatant rasicim. It was obvious at that time that- because I am black- we weren't being seated! The level of joy, and politeness she displayed to the couple that walked in after us was like spitting in our face! She literally asked them these questions while we were right next to them. I will NEVER return to this restaurant and will warn any POC and our allies about this service. It was subtlety blatant and overall disgusting. This isn't the 1950's, and we are people too! So disappointed in this restaurant, and if the owners don't believe in this kind of treatment they need to take a good, hard look at their employees and their representation of this restaurant. Because as it stands today- I will forever tell people to avoid not only this city, but this particular restaurant. Just sad. read more

Holy moly. This place was truly wonderful! My husband, daughter and I enjoyed a MONSTER cinnamon roll, 2 slices of Hawaiian sweetbread French toast, juevos rancheros, masssssssive pancake, biscuits gravy and eggs. We seriously all enjoyed this more than any other food we've eaten in CB the last week of being here! We ate great food but Paradise cafe was truly delicious and definitely all from scratch. We also enjoyed a mimosa and an incredibly spicy yet Delicious paradise Bloody Mary. You will not go wrong coming/eating here. read more

On the morning of our departure, my husband and I wanted to leave Crested Butte and all of its beauty on a full stomach. We were seated pretty quickly despite it being a Saturday morning and even with his crutches and the tight spaces, they were so accommodating on where we can sit for ample space. We started off with the Sherpa Chai and Apple Cider to warm up while we had the chance to view the restaurant was part of a larger house. It was small but cozy. I can see why it would get crowded here. We ordered the Sonora and the Mega and both were pretty fabulous. GET THE SALSA. It's homemade and like no salsa I've ever tasted. You won't regret it. We would definitely come back to try other breakfast items from the menu but we will probably wait until it's warmer for sitting outside as it gets crowded. My husband and I ate here after a morning of cross country skiing. The reuben was out of this world! We both don't remember a thing about lunch, including each other's company, because we were so into our sandwich! This is a favorite place to eat when in Crested Butte. We usually go for breakfast. It is on the edge of town, so easy to get to and decent parking compared to the main street. If you have a Bloody Mary, spring for the bacon strip garnish. It is a thick, crisp piece of bacon, rolled in tasty seasonings, and stands up in your drink like a celery stick. We like the outdoor seating in warm weather with lovely flowers and trees and relaxing ambiance. The Eggs Benedict are always great, as is the choice of omelettes. Others in our party have raved about the giant cinnamon roll, which looks great but I have not tried. Portions are VERY generous here. Service is always excellent, very attentive without being intrusive. Martha is our favorite server, but all the staff seems to want your visit to be memorable. read more

Our group of 8 needed to fuel up before a day of work on the hill just outside of town. The place doesn't open until 7am which I thought was a tad late for a weekday. We start work 15mins drive away at 8am so time was tight. We all ordered from the pretty extensive menu. I had a basic omelette with hash browns. One item of note is the breakfast sundae which one of us orders. It's like a banana split but with yogurt and fruit. Our meals took kind of a long time to come out considering we were among the first people seated and only a few others joined at that time. The food was good. The servers were friendly and efficient, staying on top of coffee refills etc. all in all except for a bit of a wait for the food to come out this was a great place for a good solid breakfast before a day outside. read more

Lovely food! Terrible terrible hosting. We called ahead with a party of eight and were told 20 minutes. Cool we thought and headed over. To wait. And wait for over an hour. We kept checking in and were told "there is a system." No apologies upon seating to wait for another 15 minutes before a waitress came by to even take a drink order. Between the super and cream rationing and waiting an hour for food in an empty restaurant, I would not recommend this place because of the awful service. Great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Parking is tricky and the restaurant is busy. Plan on a 10-15 min wait for outdoor or indoor dining. I had the Sonora, it was excellent! My husband and kids enjoyed their food and ate it all! So that is a good sign. Service is friendly and it is fun to see and talk with a few of the locals that frequent the place. We'll not be coming back to this Cafe! We had a very unfriendly waitress who had the personality of a woman whose dog just died. Surprisingly, she said no one had died. I would have loved to have asked for a warm egg instead of the cold one I was served but she never came over to check on us. Cinnamon roll was tiny for a big price. My coffee was never refilled. I needed that to be happy in this disappointing situation. The greeting and conversation by the hostess was stellar- she should be the one serving! The server we had couldn't even muster a hello, a follow-up on our food and then when she brought the check do you think she said "Thanks for coming in. Have a great day"? She chose to set the check down and said "this is for later". Wow, that one was unprecedented. I rewarded her with a big fat zero tip! read more

Absolutely phenomenal breakfast. I had the Huevos Rancheros and it was cooked perfectly. The flavors were bold and the food came out hot. I also had a bite of the pancakes and they were incredible. They are served large and fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside not soggy at all. Even the coffee was delicious I loved every drop. Our server Sydney was very sweet and super accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very polite. Our table ordered many customized dishes and they were brought out to our exact specifications.
