Cori is the rock star of solar systems! We reached to Paragon Sun in summer 2024 to replace some of our existing solar equipment and to install a battery system. Cori was extremely responsive and helpful. She is super knowledgeable and able to help us figure out exactly what we needed. Her expertise isn't just in the equipment itself, but she is amazing at navigating through the whole process. Our process was more challenging than most because the applicable federal energy credit was expiring at the end of 2025, so the manufacturers and SCE were backlogged. But Core navigated through it all and got us up and running by the end of 2025, and made it look easy in the process. Cori's team was delightful to work with. Victor was our day-to-day installer on site, and he was excellent and really pleasant to work with. Our refreshed system has been up and running now for a couple months, and everything is working fantastic. We use a LOT of electricity, but we are now pulling very little from the grid. The Enphase batteries do a great job ensuring that we are never buying power from SCE during the expensive periods, and our solar is sufficient that we draw very little from the grid even during the non-expensive periods. The system is giving us a great return on our investment. I also hate SCE, so it's enjoyable knowing that I'm giving them as little money as possible. I would much rather pay Cori than SCE, and her electricity is much cheaper! One fun nerdy story: A week or so ago, the National Weather Service we had a severe winds alert in the middle of the night. Our system automatically noticed the alert, immediately charged our batteries to 100%, and sent me an e-mail notification that it was charged and ready in case the winds resulted in a power outage. This is a feature you can turn on or off, but I love it! It's fun that, even if the power goes out, I won't know it except for the FYI e-mail that the Enphase system sends me to let me know my batteries have me covered. We have power outages a couple times a year in my area, and it used to be super inconvenient. We rely on power for our internet, and we are cord-cutters so the internet is our TV provider. I'm retired, and all my hobbies require power. I also have a fairly elaborate home network, and it is a bit of a hassle to reboot my servers and get everything running smoothly after an outage. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about any of that any more. If you are considering a system, definitely choose Cori and the Paragon Sun team. I purchased Solar 8 years ago and the company that installed it has since gone out of business. Since then, I have had to have service a couple of times and those companies have also become nonexistent, or they don't call you back. I called Paragon for service, and I was so happy they called me back and responded. They came out to evaluate then fix my system. At that time, I started to ask them about upgrading our microinverters and putting in a battery system. We ended up hiring them to replace our microinverters and we purchased a battery system. They were great to work with, and I would highly recommend using them. All of their staff I worked with from their service, install and sales team were friendly and competent. read more

Our PV array was installed by Altair Solar, who are no longer in business. Recently, one of the micro-inverters stopped working. We contacted ParagonSun (PS) in Irvine to request help. PS were extremely helpful and efficient. We provided them access to monitor our PV system via the manufacturer of the system - Enphase. After doing so, PS contacted Enphase to request a replacement micro-inverter under warranty. After the micro-inverter was delivered, PS made a service call to replace the dead micro-inverter. During the visit, they also inspected our junction boxes and drilled holes in the bottom of each junction box to allow any water to drain - an electrical code change since our system was installed. PS communicated clearly. Both the company and Willie, the technician who performed the repair, were extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. During the visit, Willie also addressed my questions about the benefit of installing a battery system to capture excess production for use after sunset rather than sending it back to the grid. In addition to installation and maintenance of PV arrays, PS also install storage battery and EV chargers. read more

We are hopeful that the guidance will be honored but this is still pending approval by SCE. Cori is very knowledgeable about all products and the industry as a whole. Communication is very prompt and informative. System builds are tailored to homeowner goals, including communication with Generac Generator, and budget. All aspects of the installation are handled by ParagonSun, including engineering plans for the system, communication with the city for permits and onsite meeting with city inspector. All paperwork is filled out and submitted to the electric company for approvals, and, when necessary, communication and scheduling of roofers like we needed for system 2 (see positive review for King Roofing) Initial estimates are final costs; we never experienced any additional charges. Electricians are experienced and efficient, and cannot say enough kind words about her colleague, Josh. Work is thorough, and all aspects of the installation are considered, including cosmetic touch-up. Enphase products are high end, operating consistently with minimal issues, and tech support is very accessible at almost all hours of the day. Do not consider anywhere else! I've had the pleasure of working with Cori on our solar with backup battery design and installation and we are thoroughly impressed with Cori and her team of installers. They've all been amazing, efficient, and most importantly the installation is absolutely quality work. Once we were up and running after SCE's approval, my home's been powered mostly by solar and the battery packs. I was looking to add Solar Back up Batteries in my garage. I found Paragon Sun and of course I was resistant because of the large expense. Let me tell you something Cori was awesome. She sent one of her electricians out to do an initial assessment and called me right away and said, they would not be able to do any work on my house because the electrical box was shooting sparks and fire. I have an electrician I have worked with for 10 years, he came immediately and said my place home could have had an electrical fire at anytime and was sending me videos of the sparks and fire. Freaked me out actually. Anyway, I went with Paragon Sun, they handled all the permitting with the city, installation and set up. Paragon deserves a 5 star review. I've had my solar for 5-6 years and I've been extremely happy with it. Recently my monitoring system went down and Cori from Paragon worked with me for several weeks troubleshooting the errors and trying to fix it. We were unable to fix it so she had me order a replacement system for roughly $600 from Amazon. It showed up within 5 days, I had my service call today and the professionals did a great job installing a new one, dealing with the winds, loving on my dogs and got me up and monitoring again.
