That was literally one of the best breakfast I've ever had. Truly blown away. The flavors were so good. Lots of GF and Vegan options if you need it. It's a smaller place, wouldn't suggest coming here with more than 2 people. 4 max. Might not get seating unless it's a weekday. Service is very very friendly. Everyone smiling the whole time and so helpful. A++
I got to try out Parakeet Cafe last week as part of a mystery picnic experience. It was our 2nd stop. We were able to put our order in, and the staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. The person helping us even upgraded one of our drinks. The cafe is very small, and they pack in a few tables, there are some tables outside as well. There is also a very nice large restroom, that was very clean and adorned with fun pictures. The food was yummy. We got a nice salad, the dressing was tasty, and there was plenty of it. We also got 2 coffee drinks, and 2 sparking waters. It also came with a chicken sandwich and we opted for potatoes instead of another salad. We also got a Parakeet PB shortbread cookie, and a banana oat loaf with chocolate. Everything was tasty, high quality, and inside was fun and well decorated. Enjoy the photos.
Had a friend recommend this place after a walk at the shores so we stopped by! We ordered the protein waffles and egg Benedict on toast to split. There is some seating inside and outside, you stand in line to order and then grab a table! The inside was a bit small but the patio seating was nice as we were able to snag a table Both items were sooo good and I'm so glad we tried both, the protein waffles had 40 grams of protein and tasted SO good, none of that protein taste. The Benedict's were so good as well, I loved the pesto and tomatoes and I typically dislike tomato Parking is typical for La Jolla but I would definitely come back again
We were visiting and looking for a lighter brunch , this very small location in upscale LaJolla was clean and inviting. Food was good, made to order. They have coffee and tea options also. It was fairly busy around 11 on a Thursday. We had green eggs, French toast and breakfast croissant sandwich. Turmeric tea and honey cinnamon latte. You can taste the fresh quality products used here. The portions are plenty-too. Directly next door is their juice shop where you can get specialty items like açaí bowls and juices. We enjoyed this spot.
My go to when I'm back visiting SD. Parakeet Cafe enables all healthy foodies to eat delicious food without sacrificing taste and creativity. I always order the Parakeet bowl with grilled salmon. This is one of the few places that make almond milk from scratch! I highly recommend their pastries as well. To top it off the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Please open locations in Las Vegas. Shout out to Neda, Tanelle, and Maya!
I come here all the time, and I've got plenty of options around, but I keep coming back for a reason. The food is incredibly fresh, super healthy, affordable, and tastes great. One thing that really matters to me--they don't use seed oils, which is very hard to find. My functional medicine doctor even said this is the only place outside the home she recommends eating in the Village. You can tell the owners, Jonathan and Carol, are very involved. There's attention to detail in everything, and they run a really strong business. It's busy, and it makes sense why. They also have a juice and smoothie bar right next door, which is just as good and fits perfectly with everything else they're doing. The staff is outstanding--friendly, hardworking, genuine, and super enthusiastic. A few people I really appreciate are Kayla, Neda, Regina (the manager), Matthew, Leilani, Hailey, and Janelle. Super clean, high-energy vibe. You feel a real sense of connection here--I see neighbors and friends from the Village all the time, which makes it even more enjoyable. I look forward to coming here. Just a great place all around.
this was by far the best breakfast spot I've ever came across in San Diego. The employees are extremely kind, respectful and welcoming. Maya and Jaymie are the ones who helped with my order Super respectful and treat everyone in there like family. For a first time visit, I will most certainly be coming back. Not to mention, the La Jolla location is an absolute beauty super aesthetic And well put together, everything in there is super clean and taken care of. Highly recommend to you all if you have always tried finding that perfect breakfast spot whether it's for family friends or even a date!
The cutest café, the friendliest staff, a must to stop by and try this spot when visiting La Jolla! I made a visit here two days in a row because how great it is! I've had the smoothies which were fantastic, and the lunch teriyaki bowl which flavors were incredible. Shout out to Janelle for having such a great customer service and we made a fantastic latte for me the second day we stopped by!
This place is amazing and I'm very sad we don't have any near me. We stayed near here and I stopped by an obscene amount of times because it was walking distance. There was a reward program too and I didn't sign up day one-that was silly. The parakeet bowl quickly became my favorite meal. The banana muffin was so good-it's been almost 7 months (little delayed here) and I still would love another! To the point where I have a friend visiting the area now and I told her she must try it and asked her to bring me a muffin- let's see if she does!! I have been tempted to see if they will ship to me or if they'll share the recipe with me since I found an article where they shared a recipe for an item. So maybe... My son (17) had one of the breakfast wraps. I can't recall the name but he said it was really good. The chocolate chip cookies are also good.

AMAZING coffee, and of course the view is absolutely spectacular. Right across from the cliffs and sea lions. There was no wait and the place was pretty empty. I didn't try their food but I wish I did. Would go back just for the coffee though. read more

Stopped my parakeet for the first time, the service was great from the start with a warm welcome from the register person. After we asked a million questions the young lady (Marina) working behind the coffee bar recommended we try the turmeric latte based on what we said we liked. She nailed it with the recommendation, this was one of the best lattes I've ever had. Not only was it delicious but so beautiful too, Marina took the time to make a beautiful design, I almost didn't want to drink them. I wish I got the girls name at the register but thank you to both of them for their hospitality and recommendations. LET ME TELL YOU! Delicious. Unique menu items. Cute. Fast and friendly service. They have a refreshingly cool latte or iced matcha for a hot Sunday day at the beach, or a perfectly warming drink for a cool foggy morning after going spearfishing (my case ). May I recommend the Mayan latte- Chili, cinnamon, hot chocolate, and coffee. LOVE LOVE LOVE. As a true Mexican myself, I love spiciness in everything, and my coffee/latte is no exception. Perfect combination of warmth, sweetness, and spiciness. With respect to allergies (gluten and dairy) here are my thoughts: - Gluten: LOTS of Gluten free options, pastries, food, and all the drinks! - Dairy: All drinks ca be modified DF, and lots of the pastries are Vegan or DF! * Note: I am NOT a celiac, just intolerant, so I do not know about their cross-contamination procedures read more
Food was so good! Very healthy and colorful. The only issue I had was that it's $8 extra to add chicken or salmon which is kinda a lot on top of what the meal cost is. My daughter and I were in La Jolla and wanted to try a new coffee shop. We came across this place and were glad we did.Parakeet is in a great location with seating inside and outside. My daughter got the croissant sandwich and I got a chocolate croissant. She loved the sandwich and said the flavor was delicious. She got the iced chai and thought it was just ok. I got the vanilla latte with oat milk and cinnamon and it was delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Great spot and we will be back! read more

Really cute cafe with unique drink options, from a standard latte to turmeric and wellness lattes. I went with a honey cinnamon latte as a recommendation from the barista with oat milk. The flavoring was great, not too sweet and actually tasted like cinnamon and honey and not an artificial sweetener. The cafe itself is small but has fun and vibrant decorations to match the name. Right now only one person is allowed inside at a time and there is some outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The only downside would be the prices, the lattes can get pretty pricey, especially if you change the milk. Overall though I would definitely recommend stopping by and will be back to try some of the food items! read more

I did a mystery picnic last weekend, and this café was one of the spots it sent us to. I'm not sure I ever would've noticed this place if it wasn't for this picnic so I'm so glad that I did! They're located in a great part of La Jolla in a super cute spot. It's pretty small inside but they have a good amount of seating inside and outside considering their size. The ambience is great, light airy and friendly! Right when you walk in, you'll see the counter where you can order and they have a beautiful display of muffins and pastries. They're so much more than a coffee shop. They have a salads and drink choices. They have a restroom for customers which is a huge plus too. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and saw plenty of street parking. It was pretty busy inside but not overwhelming. For our picnic, they prepared a delicious salad, some drinks, and a cinnamon streusel bran muffin. Everything was so good and fresh! I absolutely love the salad and the muffin was very delicious and dense. Half is plenty for one person. The location makes it a great choice if you want to make a day out of being in La Jolla with friends or family, etc.. I look forward to returning! read more

Stayed at the connected hotel and wanted a bite to eat before the day started. Service was good and quick, but coffee and matcha drink were just okay. Pastries were pretty good overall, however they don't have food outside this for a "cafe". It is right in the water, which is very beautiful. read more

The decor here is immaculate it's very vibey and trendy. I didn't have too many expectations for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I ordered the eggs benedict avocado toast. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and flavorful. My friend ordered one of their salads and that was also excellent. Really great food and fun cafe drinks. We got the mint matcha, matcha with a twist, and cinnamon latte. All of the drinks were great and brightened our day! The food was really good and creative, but not the highlight of their menu. The staff was friendly and attentive for a small cafe. Anytime I'm in SoCal, Parakeet Cafe is on my To Do list. I love their wellness lattes (beet is my favorite) and their toasts (avocado or peanut butter are my faves) the service is always great and the quality of the food is top-notch. She mentioned a cute little spot she had visited the day before so we headed to the Parakeet Cafe. The place was very cute and they had a lot of interesting drink choices. This place is very picturesque, but these lattes left little to desire. Beautiful, but the flavor was just not there for me for either one, which led me to not try the food.
