This review is just for matcha! I didn't try any food here (stupidly) stumbled upon this adorable restaurant/ outdoor coffee area while exploring La Jolla! This has got to be the cutest coffee shop/ bar/ restaurant I've ever seen! When I say that everything is decorated it really is! They have a beautiful mirror outdoor! My friend and I just came up to the outdoor coffee bar for drinks. I got an iced matcha that was really good. Not too sweet not too sugary tasting! The bathrooms are clean. The inside of this place is adorable! Next time I'm back in town I want to try the food! I'm sure it's amazing!

Celebrating my mom-in-law's birthday today at this beautiful unique restaurant! Everyone from the host to the waitstaff were so friendly and welcoming. We were seated at a comfortable indoor booth but there is also lots of patio seating which would be attractive in warmer weather. Emily served us today, very attentive and helpful. A large party of women were having a Galentne's party together so that was fun for people watching. We ordered a Cobb salad and a BLT with 2 fried eggs on the side and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was my first time to try grits--they were cheesy with bacon bits on top--so tasty! All the decorations were over the top with silk flowers everywhere in reds and pinks. Wonderful ambience with great lighting. Bathrooms were very clean and smelled great. Very limited street parking nearby. We'll be back!

Beautiful Restaurant with so much foliage and color. I felt like I was in a vacation spot. Diverse menu with healthy options. If booths inside or outside dining

One of the best brunch spots I've been to! Idk how they have any less than 5 stars. And I'm a local San Diegan, I've been to a lot of brunch spots!

The Queentown Village has a new friend, the Queentown Cafe & Eatery! The cafe is attached to the village and offers morning beverages and light breakfast items not to mention baked goods and pastries. I had a very good cappuccino and cinnamon bun baked in house but provided by Nectarine Grove Bake House. The cappuccino offered just the right amount of foam and smooth and rich coffee flavor. The cinnamon bun was very good. It was perhaps a little dry around the edges, but other then that it offered a very good cinnamon flavor and soft warm moist center. The icing is places on top as it is taken out of the warming agent. Service was very friendly and inviting. The dining patio is very lovely and laid back, not to mention comfortable. It's definitely a place I would like to return to.

Love the coffee and the pastries. The food is delicious, great service and dreamy ambiance. I recommend this place

My sad matcha latte

If you're a matcha lover, please do not come here. I ordered matcha latte, and the lady asked if I wanted to add some syrup as it comes unsweetened, so I opted for lavender. It tasted nothing like matcha, not even a hint, but rather soapy bland milk. Normally, I would've simply walked away and never return, but I had to leave a review because I felt like I've been scammed. The menu stated the drink to be $8, and it came out $9.70. I had to throw away an $11 drink after 2 sips (it's that bad!). I know it's La Jolla and the cafe atmosphere was lovely, but I expected at least a decent average drink for the price. Definitely not worth it!

Nothing but good things to say about Queenstown. The coffee was solid, and the workers there are so incredibly kind! Great vibes in the outdoor seating area and a bumping playlist made this morning memorable for me. We got the lavender latte and butter scone w/jam and both above average. The lattes were smooth and had just the right amount of espresso (where you don't feel like you paid for a glass of milk) and the butter scone was nothing groundbreaking but accompanied with jam and coffee just hits different. If you're looking for an elevated coffee experience (and especially if you can snag that outdoor booth), Queenstown is a very well worth it spot to stop by!

Connie was our server and she was amazing! This place has a great vibe; Awesome ambiance! Someone clearly out thought into the decor and I appreciated that. There's a lot of greenery but it wasn't collecting dust, thankfully. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the noise level was exceptionally low considering how big the restaurant is. The food was also very good. The tator tots were fantastic! Wonderful experience.

Yummy drinks and warm pastries. It's also near the beach so very convenient to stop by! The worker was also very sweet :)

First of all I Have to say this place is adorable! Definitely a nice place to grab and coffee and breakfast with friends. We arrived pretty early so there weren't any costumers yet but once we were headed out there was a line. My matcha was great and I also had one of their bagels, the cream cheese had perfect texture.

A small, Instagramable shop, Queenstown Cafe is not just pretty but also serves great coffee. The service is subpar but the coffee was well balanced and unexpectedly delicious. Well worth a visit for a quick cup of Joe!

Bland food. The avocado toast was on untoasted bread. It was extremely loud which didn't fit the tea house cafe vibe.

I don't usually order a breakfast burrito as they are often bland and require gobs of salsa for flavor. Not here! From the first bite to the last, no added sauces needed, however, their house-made salsa is incredible. You could put this salsa on a piece of cardboard and it would be amazing. We are not from SD but visit often and this will be a regular stop for us now. Thank you!

Service was great, everyone was nice and attentive. Got an iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and lavender to sweeten. Powdered. I give it an 8, I've had much worse matcha's, but also a bit better. Next time I come I want to try the coffee, because it looks to be their forte. Love the Colombian trip wall con una mascota preciosa. Also got a gluten free muffin, looked rough on the outside, but absolutely delish once unwrapped. Flavor was blueberry, and it was filled with them. The muffin was moist and not grainy like some gluten free ones can be. Not overly sweet, but still with plenty of berry deliciousness. All in all a wonderful stop with enough character to cameo in a 90's rom com.

It was a nice ambiance to sit and enjoy your juice and coffee. We ordered quite a bit of items as we were waiting for another member of our party to meet us here. The bathroom is beautifully and nicely decorated but they are super strict about using the bathroom even if you are a customer as they had a bathroom (there is a key you have to ask for) "wanted bandit sign"apparently for vandalizing it....which I understand however When another member of our party came, we went inside and the line was so long we decided to use the bathroom before ordering more, we were in there less than 5 minutes and the owner/manager knocked and knocked, I came out and apologized and asked if she knocked. She did apologize but said other people are waiting. I ordered another juice and was going to order sandwiches and acai bowls but felt like we probably were at cafe more than an hour and out stayed our stay. I understand as a business you have to be strict about the bathroom and that is their policy however if it is a juice/coffee place your customers are bound to use the restroom several times especially if they are continuing to order. Unfortunately, It did turn me away to try the food which I actually was looking forward to as they did offer organic croissant sandwiches. We decided to just choose another place to order food. I'll have to think about returning as we are always in La Jolla for yoga.

The food, coffee, and vibes were unmatched. We ordered quickly, snagged a table, and waited for our food. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but my friends did say the coffee was some of the best they've have. And Megs KNOWS coffee. I got the Big Wave Burrito and I could cry thinking about how good this was. Avocado, eggs, cheese, hash browns, bacon, and a slice of heaven wrapped up in the best flour tortilla that was crisped to perfection. They seem to have gotten a lot busier from all the social media attention, but they really need a better system for handling large crowds. There was a long line, no clear directions on where to stand, and employees were repeatedly yelling at everyone to line up "along the ramp" even though there wasn't any obvious ramp or signage. If it's your first time visiting, it's incredibly confusing. It's also a first come, seat yourself setup. We ordered our food only to realize there wasn't a single table available, so we were left standing around waiting for somewhere to sit. It would've been nice if that had been explained before ordering. The girl who took our order was especially rude and showed zero hospitality, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Between the confusing process, lack of organization, and unfriendly service, it just wasn't an enjoyable experience. The food was decent, but not enough to make up for everything else. Next time, I'll just go across the street to the other brunch spot instead.
