The steps to activate Cox Mobile were easy enough but my phone wasn't activating. We hustled over to this location and the friendly, knowledgeable, downright GREAT Bianca and Matt figured everything out and got me connected. I rely heavily on my phone for my job and they really came through and close to closing time too. Just a million thank yous! You really took a stressful situation after a long day and turned it around. Thanks SO much!!!!!!

During the exchange, I was given an open-box modem that was not sealed at all. At the time, I didn't think much of it and accepted it. After doing additional research, I became very concerned. Modems contain sensitive information serial numbers, admin usernames, and passwords. While customers are advised to change credentials, anyone with prior access to the device can still view or record this information. Having worked in a call center myself, I know how much data is easily accessible to employees. When I returned to the store to address my concerns, the associate I initially worked with was in the back, and another employee assisted me. I asked whether it was normal procedure to provide customers with unsealed, open-box modems. I was told this happens when employees check the box to ensure all equipment is inside. My concern is simple: why is this not done in front of the customer? That alone would greatly reduce the security risk. The employee I spoke with even admitted he had never considered the security implications of opening boxes out of sight, which is alarming. Customers have no way of knowing whether device information was copied or misused prior to receiving the modem. While I am not accusing any employee of wrongdoing, security protocols should not rely on trust alone. This is a systemic issue, not a personal one. I was told I could exchange the modem again, but that it would likely also be an open box or that I could buy my own equipment or go elsewhere. That completely misses the point. The issue is Cox's handling of customer hardware and data security. Management needs to address this immediately. Modems and routers should be sealed and opened in front of the customer, period. In today's world, this level of lax security is unacceptable. This is not about being difficult or "being a Karen." It's about protecting customer data and preventing avoidable risks. I love Cox and the services offered but security is huge! . Again the reps in this store all deserve raises and a year off with pay, as this has nothing to do with them doing their jobs. My stars are based on security concerns and not the employees. Thanks guys

He said that it would cost $200 to have one sent out. So we opted to wait for the CSR to come out on 8/10. So we waited all day and were told at 4:30 PM that he'd be out by 7PM. He never showed. Called them on 8/11/26 at 8 AM and were told he was there on Tuesday to check the phone service and all was fine. So the CSR changed our request from internet to phone service. We've never been betrayed like that by any other business ever before. So this new CSR on the11th arranged service for for 8/12 and they finally showed up, replaced the modem and we are finally back in service. The last CSR was friendly and apologetic and took care of business. She was the best. So really bad and really good all in the same process.

Then she proceeded to ask me not once but 2 more times if I needed to be transferred over to set up an account with Quantum fiber after I already told her we had just signed over to them. Customer service for century link doesn't listen to thier customers. Finally canceled our account but now out of 400. Never again with centurylink.

After 6 years as a loyal Verizon customer, I visited this store for a simple phone activation. I explicitly declined the stores assistant Manager's (Jesus) offer for insurance and plan changes. Within 10 minutes of leaving, I received automated confirmation that insurance had been added and plans were changed on 4 phones and 1 hotspot. I immediately called Verizon Corporate Support, who confirmed these were manual changes made at the store level. I returned to the store to address this, and I have the recorded confrontation with the Store Manager. In the video, he claims these unauthorized changes were a "glitch." This is a blatant fabrication, as your corporate records prove these were manual entries made immediately after I declined them. While your phone support team was able to reverse these unauthorized charges, the predatory sales tactics and the manager's attempt to gaslight a long-term customer are unacceptable. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8bgbKXC/

Just remember that the price does not include modem rental if you're renting. If you don't rent the modem you will need to purchase one for 100.00. Taxes will probably be 10.00 depending on your city. Also a month in advance payment will be required . So your first month's payment will most likely be ( for the 55.00 plan) 55.00 + 10.00 (tax) + 55.00 + 10.00 (month in advance plus tax) + modem rental 10.00 X 2 for months if you rent. Total first bill :150.00 and that's a conservative estimate. If you're not a current customer doing a lateral change but a new customer there may be an additional activation fee. If you don't rent the modem but purchase it, the first month's bill will be about 130.00 + 100.00 for a one time purchase. The subsequent bills will be 65.00 -70.00 without a modem rental. 75.00-80.00 with a modem rental for the advertised plan of 55.00 a month. Just wanting to help you make an informed decision.
