Came in to potentially purchase a used Golf Alltrack they had and was pretty much dismissed as soon as I walked in. Guy never told me his name and when I asked to see the Alltrack he pointed at it and he just told us "keys are in it go take a look" then went back in to his office. After taking a minute to go over the car on my own I came back to ask about a potential trade-in and test drive, so we went out to evaluate my trade-in which came way under what Carmax/Carvana/TrueCar offered (and way under the values he was given when he researched the car on his computer, I don't think he knew I could see the screen) and I was told he doesn't do "informational test drives." What kind of dealership doesn't offer test drives of their vehicles? On top of that all the vehicles on their lot are sold as-is so there is no form of dealer warranty on any vehicles sold here. I would suggest anyone to look somewhere more reputable that offers warranties and test drives for their cars because apparently there is a serious lack of confidence here in the cars they are selling. read more

I've stopped in a few times while shopping for an EV, and each time I left conflicted. There is no warm welcome or customer-first service here: the two owners work the floor and (as other reviewers have mentioned) don't exactly go out of their way to help you. Because the cars are staggered inside a building, going for a test drive requires some maneuvering of the vehicles and they aren't jumping at the bit to get you in a car. In terms of vehicle quality, it's very hit or miss. Their pricing is pretty good, but they apparently take cars from auction and throw them right on the lot without any inspection or detailing. I drove one vehicle that looked great online but had a major alignment issue, mismatched tires, pretty bad scrapes, and a broken suspension link that caused a VERY loud banging noise on the road. I'm shocked the car was even on the floor, but the owner admitted he hadn't driven the vehicle. On the contrary, I looked at an absolutely pristine model the week prior that was a great value. So pay them a visit if there's a good car at the right price, but know you won't get the best customer experience (and make sure you inspect the vehicle carefully). read more

Been following these folks online for a number of years and have always been impressed with their listings and fair pricing. In 2018 I decided to take the plunge and purchased a 2015 I3 Bev from somewhere else. After actually visiting these guys, I regret that decision. The up-selling and time spent on the transaction from a large dealer are just not what I want when making a car purchase. I wish I had come here 1st... Fast forward to 2021 and time for an upgrade! Need a little more range and newer technology. So I gave these guys a try and it was seriously much smoother, less pressure, and better value overall. The car isn't right for me, but Peter went above and beyond when I asked him what kind of vehicles I might be looking for with my specific parameters, and he gave me a whole list as well as a link to a possible solution. Went here about 6 months ago. Serious buyer for a 500e. Thought for sure I'd buy here because they have over 10 500es. They didn't have what I wanted so they took my info and told me they'd call when they got the color combo I wanted. Never called. Came back yesterday b/c found a similar combo I wanted. He wanted me to test drive a different 500e. I told him I wanted to drive the one I might buy, so he let me. The car had a major tire/ball bearing issue which I'm guessing is why he didn't want me to drive it. When I asked if he would fix this, he just smiled and said have a good day. I I went to Auto Quest immediately after and found a mint condition 500e which I purchased. I'm glad I shopped around. Wow, what a totally different car buying experience. Extremely efficient operation. Basically a small warehouse filled to the brim with cars, with more out back & ten (or so) out front. As of this writing: mostly EV's, some hybrids, & maybe four oddball gas cars. I found the specific 3 year old model that I was looking for that was advertised (on craigslist of all places). Decided to visit the next day on a weekday in the late morning. Easily found & looked the car over as this one was right out front. Walked into the building & was greeted by Robert who appeared to be the only person in the whole place. ...I'd like to take that one out for a drive, I said. OK i'll move out for you. Took a copy of my license, signed one permission form, and off I went (can't remember the last dealer who allowed a solo test drive) We chatted a bit afterwords. No pressure whatsoever. This particular car was not exactly what I wanted. Came back the next day, looking at a different car, but the same make & model that I had somehow overlooked the day before. This time was even easier. I took it on a fairly long test drive, solo again. This was the one! I did the NADA research on price beforehand. They don't negotiate on the price, but this one was spot on, so it did not matter. The paperwork couldn't have taken longer than 15 minutes. Wrote out a personal check. Drove my old car home. Used Uber to come back. The car was: charged up, fully washed, & ready to go. What more could I want? Hope this helps you out. read more

I would highly recommend Paramount Motors if you are in the market for a used EV. They have a great selection and seem to be discerning about what they bring into their showroom to sell. The indoor showroom is also immaculate, and packed with clean nice EV's that I felt good knowing had been consistently kept in a safe and controlled environment. It seems at first that it would be difficult to access one or two of them for a test drive, but if you are genuinely interested, they can quickly move other cars out to their large back lot or side lot and pull out the one(s) you want to check out. (And bonus...the room doesn't get stunk up by exhaust because every vehicle in there has zero emissions...love it!) Robert is very straightforward and low-pressure, and I found him very easy to work with. He seems very knowledgeable about EV's, and made the purchase process very smooth and easy. I got a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq at what I thought was a fair price and am very happy with it. At whatever point I'm ready to upgrade, I will definitely go back to them. read more

I think we need to take a moment and appreciate that this is a car dealership filled to the fenders with used electric cars - WOW! That wasn't even a thing a few years ago. Plus, for the enviro's enviro buying used is a double whammy of goodness. Keeping something out of the landfill AND not using more resources to create something new. Plus, the variety - who knew there were so many different types of EVs and hybrids?? Well, I didn't until now. :-) My husband and I took a Fiat (super cute and fun!) and an electric VW Golf (did not know they had an electric car) for a test drive. This was our second Purchase from Paramount. Four years ago we purchased a LEAF from Peter and were pleased with the transaction as well as the car. We've gotten so tired of the traditional games played at dealerships. It's nice to work with people who respect your time and want to earn your business. This go around, we purchased a used TESLA. The miles were a bit high, but the car was in pristine condition and we got a fair price for our trade in, so we decided to pull the trigger. Have been having a lot of fun ever since. The guy on the lot was playing too cool for school, and was really not friendly at all. He spit on my trade, and offered no work around options. I was very surprised with how professional this dealer was. Typically, I have a preconceived notion about used car dealers, especially smaller operations that are in industrial neighborhoods. However, when I arrived to the dealer to look at a specific car there was ZERO pressure, in fact I did 100% of the talking. No one asked me "So, you ready to buy" or, "what can I do to get you in a car TODAY!?". I came in and was greeted, and all they said was "How can I help you". I told them what I wanted to look at, and they pointed to the car and stayed in the office out of my way. Then, when I asked for a test drive, they gave me the keys and let me drive it ALONE. Their prices are very fair, and they don't bullshit you at all. They're very straightforward and when I asked about the price they said, "this is what it is, and it's going to be firm". What I loved most about this place was how low pressure it was, how fairly the cars were priced, and the helpful nature of the folks who worked there. Peter greeted me and allowed me to browse the lot without hovering which was great. I really liked that you can pull up the carfax reports from the website...most of what I saw were low mileage, one owner lease returns. I was interested in a Subaru that ended up being way in the back of the lot but four cars were moved just so I could take it for a spin. I loved it!! Seriously the best and easiest car buying experience I've ever experienced. As other people have said, nobody hovers over you as you're browsing. Ask for help and they'll help, but otherwise they'll leave you alone as you browse, and taking a solo test drive was real nice. Prices are extremely competitive, so there's no need to haggle. I was out the door with my Nissan Leaf in a little over 1.5 hours of getting there...SO easy compared to the all-day car buying experiences I've been through. They really are a one-stop shop for electric/hybrids, so if you're in the market for one there's no better place. 2 stars for the big selection of EV cars they have. I will give them that. However they also have a terrible take it or leave it attiutde. I walked in there and the owner Robert was so rude. He was acting like I wasnt even there. I took a quick test drive and decided to pull the trigger. Even after I said I would take the car he still had this kind of F.U. attitude. I am glad my bank was closed for the evening and I couldnt complete the deal. I said I would return the next day but decided not to because of poor attitude. He acts as if he is selling a commodity you cannot buy elsewhere. I should thank him because of his poor attitude. I kept shopping and found a much better deal. I ended up buying the same exact model, year, same mileage and color for $2000 less then what Paramount wanted. If you have the time just goto Paramount to test drive and see what car you like. Then go find it somewhere else that will appreciate your business and save some money while your at it. I ended up getting my car from Platt Auto Group in Oregon a short drive away. They both have no haggle pricing just Platt's prices are always 1-2 thousand dollars cheaper. I would have been fine paying a little more for the car because Paramount is closer, but screw that. Robert can keep his cars and his poor attiutde. Maybe someday after he reads this review he will think twice about his cavalier attitude. Probably not..... read more

I suppose there are always the good and the bad. Worst experience ever! I realize that they deal mostly in higher end vehicles and it only cost me a total of 4500.00. But as far as I'm concerned this buisness did not stand behind there product. I was aware that there was no warranty, however when a rod was thrown 4 weeks after I purchased it and all they could do was offer to hook me up with their vendors at an additional cost of between $2500 and $3000. After I wrote the AG for assistance, I emailed Paramount asking for a precise quote on a replacement engine and their email reply was, "Due to your complaint with the Attorney General's office, we will no longer have direct contact with you." We arrived on a Friday afternoon and Peter answered questions and let us test drive several cars. We decided on a Fiat 500e. All of Paramount's cars are in great shape. Peter made sure that the few paint chips and dings were repaired, and also replaced the worn front tires. Although a few years old, the car is almost exactly as it was when it was brand new!!
