This is my second time here and when I went on Halloween Friday, all the staff were dressed up and they offered a raffle for anyone in costume, how fun! They do have 2 parking spots along the shop, but there were street parking available. I am not gluten free but I'm so happy to see all these amazing options for my friends who are gluten free so they can also enjoy more yummy treats! There were certainly so much to choose from it was hard to narrow down what I wanted to try. They also had lots of great seasonal offerings too full of pumpkin and spooky goodness for the season. I got the Spicy Mocha with oat milk which was smooth with a nice kick of spice after each sip. But my favorite was the ube square donut with the matcha glaze!! I am still thinking about it and can't wait to get it again! It was so fluffy and offered just the right amount of sweetness for me! I gave my other treats to my gluten free friend but I'm sure the peach fritter and the pumpkin chocolate chip scone were just as good. I also had their ham and cheese hand pie before as well and really enjoyed it. You can choose to enjoy your treats and drinks inside the small but brightly lit store or you can take them on the go. They also had a freezer full of ready-to-go biscuits, pies, breads, etc so you can enjoy them later. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! I did hear them tell new customer they are known for the maple bars so I'll have to come back and try more things!

We love this gluten free bakery! I enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Loved the lavender and matcha drinks. See my photos. They have freezers with items you can purchase for home. Some things are on sale! The inside area has space to sit and enjoy your treats. Staff is sweet and services was great!

Stopped in for a first visit...mostly because I'd seen pics of the ube donut. We got a variety of items to try: cake and raised donuts, breakfast sandwiches, a hand pie, cinnamon roll and cheesecake bar. I wasn't a fan of the raised, but the ube cake donut was lovely. The hand pie was good with lots of filling, although the icing was too sweet for me. The flavor of the cinnamon roll was great. My hubby loved his cheesecake bar, but both of us enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches the most of all our items. Fabulous flavors in both biscuits. Cute shop and very helpful, friendly service.

Everything here was so good, my family and I came in all together and got a big variety of the pastries. It's a little small but it held my large party no problems, the staff was very sweet and patient. I love that everything is gluten free, I have to eat gluten free but the rest of the group came here just to get me goodies and ended up loving everything. Their zebra donut and the lemon meringue pie were my favorite.

I preordered a two-tier lemon cake for my daughter's baby shower for $139, along with two dozen cookies for another $80. Just 15 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the order, the bakery called to tell me that a mistake had been made and they had made the wrong kind of cake. They offered me several alternatives, but with a baby shower about to happen, I obviously didn't have much choice but to accept what was available. What surprised me most at the time was that there was no real apology and no offer to discount the cake despite the mistake. The cake looked nice on the outside, but when we cut into it at the shower, we discovered that the top tier was lemon and the bottom tier was chocolate. The chocolate cake was good, but unfortunately the lemon cake was very dry. The cookies we ordered as party favors were good, so this isn't a complaint about everything we received. What was especially disappointing was having approximately 25 guests at the shower asking about the cake and knowing that I couldn't honestly recommend a bakery I had previously spoken highly of. Afterward, rather than immediately posting a negative review, I took the time to write the owner a letter explaining what had happened and how disappointed I was. I felt that some acknowledgment, apology, or partial refund/discount on the cake would have been appropriate. I never received a response. Mistakes happen, and I absolutely understand that. What determines whether I continue supporting a business is how those mistakes are handled. A last-minute error with an expensive cake for an important event was disappointing; receiving no response when I reached out privately afterward was even more so. Unfortunately, after this experience, I can't recommend this bakery or feel comfortable ordering another special-occasion cake from them.

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!

I tend to pick from the shelf-stable pastries since for some reason whenever I visit it is always hot. That means I have to skip at the cake/pastry case even though the desserts look so tantalizing. My favorites are: Kare pan: House made beef curry inside of a deep fried donut coated with panko. I don't understand how it's possible for this creation to remain crispy even though it's stored at room temperature instead of the more usual warming lamps. The curry is thick and has generous chunks of beef and vegetables. The bread isn't really "donut" per se since that brings to mind something sweet with a tender crumb. It's more of a fried bread dough that's deliciously chewy. Bacon and blue cheese mini epi: Épis de Blé is a bread that looks like a sheaf of wheat that is very similar to a baguette. Their take has a chewier crumb and crust instead of a shattering crispy outside as with a traditional bread of this type. The cheese and bacon make this such a luxurious bread. They don't use the shelf stable bacon; they use the good stuff so it adds a great texture to the bread. It's not heavy in blue cheese flavor, so even though I don't like blue cheese, I still adore this bread.

As we dribbled in we found our table setup and waiting for us with paper menus at each place. Very nice except for the fact that the paper menus had no prices on them. Since they do not do separate checks, each of us needed to know the price of our breakfast (plus 20% gratuity) so we could give the correct amount to our group leader to pay the bill after the meal was done. There was some unpleasant discussion with the host about the menus and pricing and why we could not order from the regular menu. The hostess told us the kitchen could not handle large groups so we had to have a reduced menu...surprising since this has never happened at any of the other La Providences we have eaten at as a group. My feeling as were some of the others is we are certainly not valued here, and the kitchen is more important that the customer. Not a good way to start off the morning. The wait staff (very pleasant) took our orders and then in a short period of time began delivering our orders...I do take exception to the waitstaff handing the person their plate rather than sitting it in front of the person. This is never more apparent as when they tried to hand a blind man his plate which of course he could not see. How embarrassing and rude! My food came and after just three small bites I could no longer stomach the dish (Tiramisu French Toast). I stopped eating and pushed the plate away. I will note that another one in our group had the same dish and ate the entire thing. When the waitstaff came to clear our dishes, she asked me if I wanted a box. My reply was "no, the dish did not taste good". At that point she said "you should have told me and I would have gotten you something else". I was a bit indignant that she thought I should run her down somewhere in the restaurant to tell her about the bad food...it is her job to make sure everything is OK. (she never came by after serving the food to ask if everything was OK). So, my reward for sitting through the hostess abuse when we came into the restaurant and then being served inferior food was to pay full price for my three bites of food that upset my stomach plus a 20% gratuity. At the very least this meal should have been comped! This is just bad management all the way around. My family has been in the restaurant business for 50 plus years, if we treated out guests like this, they would never come back. AND I never will come back to this restaurant who is so disrespectful to the customer! Shame on you!!
