I'm not going to lie, I was shocked to see this on Court Street. But I quickly realized that I should just enjoy the newfound convenience instead of trekking to K-town. Many of the same pastries, but it seems much more laid back than the midtown location. It's a smaller selection than what I'm used to, but the overall store has more seating area and is still very nice. I can see a few weekends of studying in there in the near future. read more

I do not like this place at all. This is the worst Paris Baguette I have ever visited. I ordered a yogurt with fruits and let me tell you how disgusting it was when I placed the first spoonful into my mouth, I wanted to vomit. They had expired yogurt or it had went bad recently but they still shelved it. The fruits were sour and the yogurt was sour. I haven't had anything good from this place yet beside the prepackaged milk bread. I will probably never come here again unless it's to buy milk bread. read more

A decent, albeit sterile, addition to Court Street. Eight tables on the ground floor and even more upstairs. This is great to have locally for quick meetings... but why no Wi-Fi? Nice place to pickup breakfast, lunch or a quick snack. The pastries are very tasty and fresh. I like the twisty donut and the red bean bun. I never tried the sandwichs but my coworker is a big fan of the ham and emmantal pretzel sandwich. The regular iced coffee is great too but it's very sweet. This is also our offices go to spot for delicious birthday cakes- try the strawberry cream. read more

This place is definitely as GOOD as just about everyone is saying it is! I stopped in here with my mom today after some perfume shopping at the near by Sephora. I'd already eaten but my mom was hungry and decided on the chicken wrap, which she said was deliciously FRESH! She also said the coffee was the best she'd ever had and that is BIG coming from her! I opted on trying the Royal pudding (served in a very petite jar) and a chocolate coconut macaron. Both were tasty and deliciously fresh to me as well. Everything looks so dam gorgeous in this place. It's clean and maintained extremely well. There is a very good assortment of cold sandwiches and even more of an assortment of pastries and breads. The larger cakes that could be served for a birthday, anniversary, or any other special occasion are lovely looking and I'm sure just as delicious as they look. I can't wait to go back to try something savory. It is expensive, but I'd say it's worth every penny! read more

I bought a Canelé. The price is okay for $2.5 each. The taste I forgot, nothing special. However the service is not good.

So far the place is still very clean. Always love their cakes but haven't try it here yet. I stopped by for an ice coffee. It was good enough, but they didn't pour enough coffee I thought or maybe I'm just being picky. The bathroom needs a combination for you to get in. Overall the place looks like it's busy. It should work in this area and I will be back to try the pastries. read more

Worth a post for sure! They just opened this weekend, decided to check it out today. The ambiance is bright, clean and new-- VERY refreshing for this area (ex. La bagel across the street). Much good here and only one shortcoming: the taste of anything you chew. I've tried salads, breads, pastries. Nothing's gross, just zero flavor. Everything else at Paris Baguette I like: beverages, hours, prices, service. If you're looking for an espresso-style drink in the hood, you'll do worse at Starbucks and pay a lot more for only slightly better up the street at Le Pain Quotidien. read more

My husband and I passed by for the first time today we went cause the place looked very good It was our first time we did not know how to order so my husband thought we can take what we want and go to the cashier The cashier was SO mean to us ! She gave us very rude look cause he opened the sweets glass door Then she was so rude when talking to us even after we apologized ! Paris Baguette gets the job done--Starbucks-style coffee for slightly lower prices, and a better pastry selection. It has seating. They have Asian specialties like tapioca tea and green tea flavored cakes. But that's about it. It's always a bit dirty--the tables aren't wiped down and the trashcans aren't emptied often. One time I came when it had been raining for hours and they hadn't put down any kind of mat so the floor was slippery and muddy. My biggest complaint is how slow they are. Every time I go in (it's just so close to me, I go there when I don't feel like walking far) I instantly regret it. They have two cash registers but only one is ever open, and half the time the cashier is also the person making the drinks or getting the special pastries from behind the locked door, so it takes extra long. Most times I come in, the line is down to the entrance. Everyone who works there looks confused or like they don't want to be there at all. I used to come here all the time and order the exact same drink every single day and they were always confused by my order and made me explain it multiple times each time--it was just an ice coffee with milk, I don't understand why it was so difficult. I stopped coming because it was too trying. This branch needs to hire a lot more people to cater to the demand. There's no reason there should consistently be a line snaking to the entrance when most people just want a simple cup of coffee and are grabbing the pastries themselves. read more

Most of their pastries is excellent BUT it takes forever to be ready. It happens often to me to be out at 7.30am or so craving some nice breakfast and all they have out are one or two options. For me, if you say you open at 7am, then at that time you must have AT LEAST half of your usual products out. The coffee is below average, a burnt flavour and weak as dishwater . Baguettes look good but again, flavor is lacking. I didn't realise this was a chain till I hit inside . That isn't altogether a bad thing unless your highest aspiration is the caffeine disaster that is Starbucks. For the love of God , I hate to say it but McCafe is a better choice than here . I was so excited to see that Paris Baguette was in Brooklyn, as I used to go to the one in K-Town nearly every time I was in the neighborhood, which was a lot. This location was a bit out of the way, but the interior was nice, and the music was calming. I would have liked some of those stand-while-you-eat tables, though, downstairs. Anyway, the reason I'm giving this location only three stars is that I do not drink alcohol, nor do I eat anything prepared using alcohol. So, I began to eat a rather innocent-looking pain au raisin, and what should I taste? A bit of alcohol.... Then, when I went to view the (certainly incomplete) list of ingredients posted in tiny letters by the product, I saw that the pain au raisin was made with rum. That was so disappointing! Now, I do give Paris Baguette credit for posting this information near the product, but wish it was in larger type so it was actually readable... Surely, I'm not the only one who stays away from alcohol, and so I wonder - was it really necessary to put it in the pastry? 'So sad! A note - I do understand that Paris Baguette's pastries are actually made in Korea, and shipped here frozen, or so, and so maybe there's nothing to be done about this problem, but at least, now, you know! read more

I like the coffee a lot. It's fresh, tastes great, and most importantly, it's very strong. The regular iced coffee is also good but very sweet. Of the individual pastries, I've only tried the castella (nice and fluffy) and the circular one with red bean filling which is very tasty. Our office also buys the strawberry cream cake for birthdays that I'm a big fan of and it's at a great price. There is rarely a long line so it's a quick in and out for those of you on the go. read more

Not cheap, but not ridiculously expensive either. One great thing about this place is that they have a large selection and they have things that no one else has. For example, I can't remember ever seeing a cannelle in NYC. Even in Paris, it was an effort to hunt those down. They have them here and they are tasty. (Update: The best place to get cannelles now in NYC is possibly Trader Joe's.) I've only gotten baked goods at Paris Baguette so far, but they've mostly been good. I wish they had a better bread selection, but despite the name, it's not a strength of this place. Another weak point is their croissants. Don't get them here. They are subpar, American tasting things (not a good thing for a croissant). Go get those at Bien Cuit or Maison Kayser. But Paris Baguette has plenty of other things which are unique and great. read more

I need to complaint about the Paris Baguette located at Court Street. I went to the store in person on 10/24/17 to order the Halloween cake and a set of Halloween cupcakes, I wrote down all the information and the date I will pick up as 10/31/17, also paid full amount of $61.95 in cash. I went there yesterday 10/31/17 to pick up the cake, and the White guy cashier told me they sell my cupcakes accidentally and they don't have it for me anymore ??? I could either choose to have other cakes or tarts for replacement or have the refund back. This is totally unacceptable, I placed the order a week before means I reserved it and I should get what I want, right ? It really ruined my party and destroyed my Halloween mood. I will choose to order cake in different bakery beside of Paris Baguette from now on. read more

I really like their food, and I appreciate the bright, clean atmosphere. The servers are always quite nice. So what's the problem? The consistently s-l-o-w service. It's a rare day when I walk into this place and there isn't a line of 5-10 people waiting to pay. I assume this reflects management's desire to save money by not hiring a sufficient number of people behind the counter. Because many of the servers are also making drinks, heating up sandwiches, restocking items, etc., the store needs more than the one or, at most, two people behind the counter to handle sales. I've made the suggestion to managers on the rare occasions I see them, but to no avail. It's got to relate to the bottom line, but I would bet they're losing more money (many times I see the line and leave) than they're making by short-staffing the place. read more

Haven't eaten here but the coffee is fine. However do note, you CANNOT ask the barista for a different milk if yours isn't out at the milk station! You will be chastised! haha. I made this "mistake" and the barista brusquely informed me that I would have to return to the register and ask them. Odd.... so I go back to the register area, muscle into the front of the line and ask for soymilk....and they go and get the same barista and bring her over there with the soymilk. It was bizarre. Place is ok. I think the prices are a little high for the area. Pastries are eh at best. the 4$ cronut was the greasiest monstrosity I have ever experienced 2 bites and I had enough. DD cronuts are better. Couple of their other pastries have the same issue oily and bland. The sandwiches are somewhat better they taste fresh but the turkey on my sandwich looked like packaged balogney. Coffee is not bad and the service friendly enough. I usually enjoy stopping by for an iced coffee and pastry. I went yesterday and the cashier was so rude. I said "good afternoon" as I placed the tray on the counter- no response, I handed her the money and she snatched it from my hand. I said "thank you" when she gave me the change. Again, no response. Although the Court Street location usually has reasonably polite staff, that girl could use etiquette and customer service classes. read more

I'm am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service I received in this establishment (97 Court St. Brooklyn). I ordered a chocolate strawberry cake 24hrs in advance, picked it up and brought it home. Upon opening it for the birthday party I was throwing that evening, I realized they gave me the wrong cake. I received the vanilla strawberry cake. The party was in the evening and I still had to serve a cake for the birthday girl so I proceeded to serve this cake. I called the following day and the manager told me to bring back the wrong cake (which he was informed wasn't a whole cake since I still had to serve it) and he would give us the correct cake. With family in tow (hence the reason for ordering a cake) and a very long trip to Brooklyn, I forgot to bring the piece of cake that was leftover. Once we got to the store the manager informed us he wouldn't give us the cake we originally ordered because we didn't bring the leftover piece of the wrong cake that we received from them. The store made the mistake and refused to right their wrong by simply giving us the cake we ordered. Even with pictures of the wrong cake and a receipt showing what we ordered compared to what we got, the manager still refused. I'm upset by this experience and must say that I will never return to this bakery nor recommended them to anyone. read more
