When I saw that Paris Baguette was opening in Downtown Brooklyn I was quite excited because it's not every day you see a Korean or a nice bakery open up here. This Paris Baguette is different from the ones I've been to because it's two floors and the first floor is where all the baked goods, desserts, cakes, restroom, and cashier are located and seating and the second floor has a baking or prep kitchen and comfortable seating areas. Staff is quite friendly unlike the ones in Flushing I've been to. I've tried their almond croissant which is delightful! Not too buttery and it has a nice crunch to it and lightly sweet. I've noticed there are a lot of moms or babysitters that comes here, but there are also students and business-like people that come here to do their work/study. It's a good place to catch up with someone and maybe light studying. Overall, a nice and upscale addition to Downtown Brooklyn that's worth visiting! read more

5 stars doesn't even do this place any justice. As a blue collar worker this place treated me well without any form of discrimination. The staff here seems quite young, and are very respectable towards their customers. The lines can be long sometimes, but are worth the wait. As a French immigrant who has lived in NYC Brooklyn for 17 years, coming across this place by accident made me think that God is a sadist because in the past 17 years that I lived in NYC all of the so called French bistros who sold patisseries and baguettes seemed like cheap knock offs compared to the real thing. I felt as if God gave me his middle fingers when he indirectly told me that I needed to wait for 17 years in order to come across a legitimate French patisserie in NYC. None of the other French bistro's food never even came close to anything sold in any France's boulangeries, and what's worst was how most of them didn't bake any of their goods on site and would instead order them from other outlets where it would take weeks to resupply. As a French person I can vouch that Paris Baguette is legitimate, and that any patisserie baked by them is 20^9 times better than anything that I've eaten from Au Bon Pain. At this rate Au Bon Pain might as well just stick to selling soup, and rename themselves to "Good Soup." What's even more surprising about Paris Baguette is the affordable price of their goods. read more

I live around the neighborhood, and I been to different locations including couple in LA, This location is probably one of the best out of all I have ever been, the atmosphere here is very nice and cozy! I loved how their staffs are being super sweet and welcome every time I walked in.. This place didn't impress me much. Yes, most of their deserts look delicious. But 90% of the cakes have some kind of liquor in them so they weren't for me. So I ordered something that didn't have Rum but wasn't just a croissant. It took me a lot of hunting but I found the Tiramisu Cream Puff. They had a few other options but I wasn't in the mood for them. The puff was good. But it was just that.. a cream puff. I would have much rather had chocolate cake.. But the Rum was the problem. Anyways the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The cappuccino after I stirred it and the foam went down wasn't a full cup. I was so excited for this Paris Baguette to open near my school. But my experience was just underwhelming. The croissant doughnut was not fluffy but straight gush of oil in my first bite. I should have known, they looked burnt and smaller than usual. The croissant donut was way better at other Paris Baguette locations (Lexington and K-town). Maybe it was an off day. I also had a vegetable bun and turkey sandwich, which were pretty good. Their sandwich are not super salty; I like that. The table had crumbs and the floor had trash on the ground. It was not lunch time. The line had about 10 people waiting and only 1 cashier rang up customers. Three staff were just talking at the counter. From their conversation I figured one person was being trained. Eventually one out of the 6 staff another person started to ring up the customers. I annoyed by the slow reaction of staff. This was probably just the hiccups of opening a new business. I'll come again and probably write a new review, hopefully better. Interior is cute. Pastries look good. Did not see signs for wifi. Don't expect fast service. Be wary of the croissant doughnut!! read more

Everything was like a breeze. You pick what you want, pay, and eat. The staffs are always smiling at their customers and serving them with care. It's not overly crowded as they have a second floor which was really cute. Most of the seatings on the second floor was near a big window to look outside. There was even a big couch as a seating area. It was comfortable. The second floor also had all the condiments, utensils, and necessary products for your drink or food just like the first floor. The first floor held all the food of course. The moment you walk in, food ranging from salads, sandwiches, bread, pastry, parfaits, drinks, and everything else is already ready for you to choose. Everything is laid out behind several glass windows. All the food food and drinks had their ingredients listed so people can know if it contains food they're allergic to. That was very helpful. It also listed the calories which is a HUGE bonus for me. I like to keep track of how much I consume and that helped a lot. However, I didn't find the calorie number on the salads, so that wasn't well for me since I ate one of their salads. I had a salad that contained sliced grilled chicken, sliced mango, cherry tomatoes, chips, cashews, leafy greens, and a vinaigrette on the side. The vinaigrette was exploding with flavor in my mouth. However, it was on the oily side. It was heavy on oil but other than that the vinaigrette was delicious. It tasted very well with this salad. I also had their regular croissant. It was light and flaky. It was good too. Finally I had their cheese soufflé. It's about 2 inches in length and 1 inch in width. The flavor was very cheesy. I loved it. I thought it would be dense but it was moist and airy inside. It was yummy. read more

I totally agree with Jane K's review and this is exactly what I wanted to say. Everything is made with great care and they have around 180 branches overseas. My personal favorite goes to peanut crumb bread, red bean paste bread and all those fresh cream cakes with strawberries, above all, but I have to say everything is delicious! Glad to have Paris Baguette in BoCoCa, although often times hard work at Equinox becomes useless as I can't help stopping by every time I finish workout. I walked in the establishment and said, I am in a gallery of artist food. The delicacies looked too good to eat. I had a little trouble trying to decide what I wanted to eat. A young lady, ( with such an energetic personality) examined what each pastry, sandwich and beverage was made of. It's nice to know that I can go from Manhattan to Brooklyn and receive the same quality of food with the same establishment. The grain chicken salad sandwich is one of my favorites along with a hot cup of roos tea. Then onwards to the pastries!! The raspberry cream cheese, the sweet potato pastry, keep them coming. Now you can purchase an entire cake, but I dare you to try and figure out which one. My eye is on the blueberry yogurt cake, the strawberry fresh cream, the blueberry fresh dome, the coconut cake, get the hint! The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh. This rating is for the poor customer service I received today at the store (by the manager I'm assuming since she was dressed in black compared to the other staff). I was asked to bag up my own pastries at checkout and she seemed bothered (with attitude) that I wanted them in a box as well (which I actually put in myself since she walked away to make coffee).! There weren't any trays and wax paper available today so I grabbed a box and some bags thinking I'll be making it easier for the person at the cashier. Instead, I felt like it was a hassle to her. I have been to many Paris Baguette locations and never had this experience (and is poor customer service in general). I come here frequent enough to say the rest of the staff here bags up pastries without me asking and are always pleasant. I really like this place. I had to throw a party for an opening night of a show and needed the cakes and soup at a strange time. I wasn't able to pick up myself and even though they didn't technically deliver they were able to help me out this time and I am forever grateful. Very easy to work with. Azim, Natasha, etc. They told me all is good and that they will deliver without a hitch which is what they did. And the food was PERFECT! I plan to give them more business! read more

The pastries and cakes are good. I mostly come here for the coffee. Their regular coffee is better than most around the area. The biggest problem with this place is the service. It's so slow! It takes 5-10 minutes to pay sometime even with 1 or 2 ppl on line. It's ridiculous. They need to have 2 cashiers working at all time. My previous negative review was taken off. This is my second attempt. Let's hope it won't be taken off again. Paris Baguette makes an awful baguette - in terms of quality, it tastes like the cheap supermarket baguette... Being a big fan of baguettes, it's regrettable that a business that bears the name of "baguette" would not at least try to make a decent baguette. Paris Baguette is sort of like Starbucks with pastries, but with even less personality than Starbucks. So if you're into overpriced sugary products, generic coffee, inoffensive music, and more of a hospital cafeteria thing, then this is your spot. If you're looking for more of a typical cafe experience, for those of us who actually live in the neighborhood, we know there are way better places (similar in price but offer a lot more in terms of quality and feel) within 5-10 min radius. Here's a small list for your reference: Mia's, Tazza, Swallow Cafe, Bien Cuit, and Kayser which is literally just one block away. Kayser is the more generic of the ones listed here but it's still way better than Paris Baguette. However, if you're craving for Asian style pastry and you're stuck in Downtown Brooklyn, then I guess you have no choice. I wasted a lot of money at this place because it happens to be on the way to Hoyt Schemerhorn station. I used to get a coffee and a pastry for about $7 on the way to work, so I know this location quite well... First, you must know that I am a very picky diner. And I do not eat fast food. And bread does not agree with me so I avoid it like the plague. This shop is across from a mulitiplex with limited good dining choices. And, to my complete surprise it has changed me on an atomic level. Wandered in one hot afternoon and was pleased with what I saw: Freshly made sandwiches, salads and bakery items. (Remember, I avoid bread; almost never buy sandwiches.) But I have gotten two of the most *delicious* sandwiches I have ever eaten in my life there. They are next-level good, seriously. And at about 7 bucks, a real bargain. The bread is amazing, the fillings are fresh, the accoutrements are excellent, and the service is swift and friendly. I had nothing whatsoever to complain about. The sandwich is everything, in one cute box. Last week I got a chicken salad sandwich. It was stuffed with chunks of fresh chicken, a little bit of good mayo, walnuts, thin cucumber slices and some other things I forget that complemented it perfectly. And I could not help myself - I ate the entire thing. (And, no stomach distress. I do not know why.) The only thing I can compare these sandwiches to it to is the fast fare you find in good sandwich shops in Paris. (Even the airport - I know, I know! But it's true.).
