I've been in this store once and everything was neat clean and tidy. The food on display looked delicious, but I was looking for cupcakes and they don't sell cupcakes, so I left. My wife went there to buy an anniversary cake. She got some salted caramel chocolate mousse cake. Looked beautiful. Here's the problem. Too much salt! Like every bite, the salt flavor was dominant. A cake like that, I expect a little salt flavor, but this was over the top. I like sweet and it was hard to find sweetness when the primary taste was salt. Super excited to try some delicious-looking pastries in the neighborhood. Picked up some bread and a box of pastries while running errands nearby. The baguette was fresh and chewy. The sausage pastry was very tasty. The store was clean and bright. Here is where it was lacking: Labels were blank for most items and there was zero pricing for the cafeteria-style choose-your-own pastry line. I picked up a croquette-like bun that ended up being seafood filled. Pretty fishy, kinda gross tbh. My husband hates seafood so that was a waste. The "custard-filled" (see photo) had a laughable toothpaste squeeze of filling. At least my husband and I got a good laugh over this confusing amount of custard. This is a beautiful new Paris Baguette. I have no complaints about the food, but the checkout experience could be improved. I've ordered lunch online only to pick it up and have the sandwich out of stock. I was able to get a different sandwich but not the difference refunded. The second time I came to pick up a birthday cake and the cashier could not find it, even though I had the receipt. Eventually she figured it out, but what's the point of online ordering if it takes so long every time? In addition, the pastries I ordered two days in advance were not available. Why didn't they pack these up first thing in the morning? I know these are high school students working, but I'm confident they can be trained better. read more

It want even 6, and they close at 9pm. There was like 8 pastries total to pick from, they had me sitting for 20minutes when I asked why I saw so many people come and go and I was still waiting. I usually only post about my great experiences yet when they are really bad I'll jump on and give a negative review. I believe in allowing things to past yet this place really was not worth the drive. Always been a Paris Baguette fan, however this location is just bad. You're better off going to Irvine or any other location. I'm only giving it 2 stars because some of their cakes and pastries are good, but the services is no where near as good as any other place. I came here on national cake day 11/26/23 for their promotional "buy one cake slice get a free cake slice". My experience here went as followed: Came in to get a few breads and other pastries even though half the items were sold out or just out of stock. This was at 6pm, 3hours prior to closing time. We went to the counter and asked them about their promotional cakes which they agreed was going on. I told them I planned on getting 6 cake slices using the promo (buy 1 get 1 free). However I was never informed it would only work with 1 slice instead of unlimited. They agreed and let me pick out whatever slices I wanted. When it came down to pay, I was unaware that I needed to be a member to get this benefit and our cashier "Pasha D" kept telling us there was nothing they could do since it only works if we signed up the day before. I asked if we could sign up now and kept getting told "no it won't work. It only works if you do it the day before. We can't help you" We purchased a slice anyways and when we left, I called my usually location (Irvine) to ask them the same questions I asked Pasha. They immediately knew what to say and told us we can sign up now, wait a few minutes and the promo would pop up immediately for use on the same day. We did so and saw the promo pop up within 5minutes. How is it that another location was able to answer all my questions and resolve my issue in a 30seconds phone call but this location with 3 cashiers in front can't? read more

Two weeks ago, I came here in the morning. There was just one guy behind the register who was helping one customer ahead of me with her pastries placing them in the box using his gloved hands .. grabbing the pastries . Those gloved hands ,he then grabbed some money from another customer ahead of her and put it in the register and when he is done stashing the money away.. he then proceed picking up the pastries with his gloved hands and placing those pastries inside the box. The woman ahead of me seems not to notice or maybe it's okay with her because she seems not to say anything to him. My point was, he didn't use the tongs when handling the pastries. Those gloved hands touched the money and he then proceeded to touch the pastries right after. Mind you, it was from two different customers. When it was my turn, he used the tongs picking up the pastries.. it's about time! Ambiance of the store was good. Pastries were tasty . I bought the croissants, and Japanese cake. Next time, I will try their drinks and sandwiches. Will I come back? Maybe but I will surely be attentive with them using tongs when handling the pastries. Oh one more thing, I cannot find any tray liners on that morning ! I should give them 2.5 stars because of those things I mentioned above. Well.. first off I bought a gift card online. It was 40.00 It gave me the option to transfer it to Apple Wallet. I did.. of course when I went to use it at a later time the lady at the register said " It reads nothing! Nothing I can do about it! (Loudly) Look.. Agree with the previous average reviewers. This chain is basically a modern French theme version of the Chinese 85 Degrees C cafe and bakery (and vice-versa) but with just donuts, croissants, pastries tortes, cakes, coffee and teas - no rolls or bread. Almost exclusively things that are sweet. The baguetttes are long thin bagged loaves (forearm sized) of French bread, but they are not offered in roll sized portions, just loaves and just bagged. Well, the days of when you could go to a place like Boudin, Panera or Corner Bakery and just buy a few rolls are long gone. This place is no different, so three stars here. I don't really consider it a bakery. It is a patisserie or pastry cafe. A little larger in the sense that there is more seating here. Nothing particularly special. BF still paid $8.50 just for a small coffee and a simple, single twisted donut. It is pricey. Lavazza brand, thoroughly burned and carmelized coffee. Indoor and outdoor patio seating. Ample parking as it share a parking lot with many other stores. Relatively clean. Spotty service and not much excuse for it, since the only thing they are doing is operating a cash register, doing simple "barista" duties to pour coffee and maybe bagging your order. Everything else is self serve. It is an okay place to go if you are on El Toro Rd near the Smart and Final store / Home Depot. read more

I came here a couple of times and they never have the correct label or price on the pastries. A nice selection of breakfast and lunch choices & desserts. It has 3 or 4 eat in tables. Service is good but a little slow. It is a large overly bright room. It is the kind of place where you want to get your food which is decent and get out as quickly as possible. I'll go back again but only for takeout. My visits here have been inconsistent. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's puzzling depending on who is working. Yesterday I have to comment on because I was feeling frazzled due to an overwhelming day. Not just busy but emotionally drained as well. I popped into this location because I wanted to bring a few pastries to a friend I was going to visit later who is having a tough time. The place was empty since it was the afternoon. There was only one person working. He really made my day! It would be easy to be lazy when you're the only one around but he was cleaning and rearranging and then was so friendly and positive. I had a chance to try a few of their pastries including the Very Berry Pastry, Mini Croissant, Pain au Chocolat, Fruit Bite, and Pain aux Raisins. All pretty good! The Very Berry Pastry was probably my favorite - not too sweet, with sharp flavors. The mini croissants come in a pack of 6 and are nice and flaky. Ordered 3 sandwiches and 1 salad via Door Dash for pick up. Waited 30 minutes before arriving, order was still not ready. I come to find out that all of the sandwiches and salads are pre-made and in a refrigerator case. I waited for at least 15 minutes for someone to pick my order (after wathing Fraya hold my ticket while she waited on one other group that came in after and not hand it over to another associate to pick my order. Finally, when the ticket was given to someone, it took 10 minutes to be picked from the fridge, one sandwich was either made wrong or chosen incorrectly and the salad was "out of stock" (I think the guy picking thought it was supposed to be a sandwich and not a salad). I was told they couldn't give me a refund on the spot (because I ordered online) and told no manager was on duty. My elderly father who is visiting from out of town was in the car, so this restaurant wasted an hour of my time with him, because of their incompetence. The food was just ok and mostly tasteless, because it was pre-prepared. At $15 and sandwich and $17 a salad, i expect fresh food. They weren't really busy either, it was pathetic. I was super excited for this to open down the street from me. The closest one was in Irvine in the Mitsuwa Market, but that was a bit out of the way for every occasion I would want to bring pastries to. With that being said, the options as this location is not as wide as others. This location is smaller and has tables occupying half the space. Pastries are the same you can find at all the others. They did have this cronut that was absolutely delicious! It was light, crispy, and the lemon filling was not too sweet. This is a great place to stop by for a quick snack and a coffee. Prices are decent for what you are getting. The only downside about this location is that all the tables were extremely dirty. They were not being tended to, and there were spills present everywhere. I was waiting for my coffee and did not even want to sit down due that that. I would really enjoy sitting here and getting some work/study done, but after that first visit, not so sure this would be the best spot anymore. Very clean and well organized was my first impression. Tried a little but of everything minus the cold stuff. My doughnut was very stale and hard... don't recommend those to anyone. You're better off going to Dunkin for a doughnut. Other pastries were soft and very moist. Coffee was a little on the expensive side, even if it's coming from France. We arrived at 8:45 AM, almost two hours after they supposedly opened. I counted 50 food tray spots, 20 of which were empty, and ZERO of which were labeled. Twice now the white cream filled pastries are gone. The employee said it's called a king-something-or-other. Not being familiar with what was inside each item I asked someone at the register (that had been working here two months ago during a prior visit) what the unlabeled item contained and they had no idea. I asked another person at the register and they offered to help but didn't want to leave the register. Unfortunately since I have food sensitivities this makes selecting food very difficult. My biggest recommendation and I can't stress this enough is allow the staff the get tips! I find it insulting that I'm not aloud to tip the staff here. This location needs to get their act together. Don't come when they open at 7 am per the website because they open when they want to open! 80% of the pastries are not put out on display. Manager said to come around 9 when they are all put out. He didn't even help get the store opened on time and even to help put out the pastries. That's too late if you want to bring in pastries into an office in the morning on the way to work or want to have it with your morning coffee. The pastries are not even labeled, the trays are dirty and I can go on. I read the responses from the business managers to reviewers less than stellar reviews.
